Danny Eng Great for male haircuts! They arent usually too busy on weekdays so if you want quick and quality cuts for a great price then here it is!

Tenzin Namdak I goto Amanda once every month. She is great and very friendly. With such a low price men$12 for haircut, great hospitality, great service; what else can you ask for. I always call Amanda way in advance to make an appointment though. I am usually very particular my hair, but Amanda knows my style.

Kyle Schwab I have been getting my hair cut here since 2013 and I always get a quality cut. I prefer to call ahead but you can walk in as well. For the quality Amandas is a real good value and a place to try for your next cut.

Jessica Foran My new favorite place to get a mani/pedi. Dao does meticulous work. Her foot and hand massage were outstanding. Reasonable pricing. I would call ahead and schedule to make an appt if you are looking to come with a friend to ensure there is enough staff to accommodate your services.

Gwen Cannon Carrie, Carmen and Rosalie are finally back at The Laurel Street Salon! Very professional and following all CDC Guidelines. Expect to wear a mask, have your temperature checked, use hand sanitizer and fill out a Covid 19 questionare. Stations and chairs are sanitized after every use. So happy to have them back!

Travis Trail Had a really great massage! It looks like this place is under new ownership, as the name changed and it has been repainted and redecorated inside, and my massage therapist, Linda, was new as well. She gave a nice strong massage. It was wonderful. She worked out some knots in my neck and upper back. Highly recommended!

The place is absolutely spotless. She takes great care of her clients and handles business. She always checks in and asks if there are any changes with your skin. She takes her time and is very thorough with her work.

Naomi Kaswan Dottie is great! Ive been going to her for approximately 2 years, and every time has been perfect. Not does Dottie do a great job waxing, but shes dedicated to providing her clients with attentive service. Gaurav Krishnamurthy Stone Fox is a fantastic spa with very knowledgeable staff who are friendly and very skilled. My wife and I went in for facials, and we both had incredible experiences. The facials were the best we ever had. Nicole and Tara were very detailed, communicated the regimen clearly and very skilled. Our skins feel fantastic after the facials and we look forward to being regular customers!

Chista Ashti This was my first visit to this salon, and I was very happy with the service that I received. I had booked a haircut and styling and was pleasantly surprised to find out that styling was actually included in the price of the haircut, so I ended up paying only for the haircut. Definitely excellent value. I booked my service with Alexa because I had read so many nice reviews about her. She was indeed every bit as friendly, helpful, and talented as the reviews had said. I showed her a picture of the style that I had in mind. She listened patiently and recommended a slight modification to better match my hair type. In the end, I was very happy with the results. I think I have finally found a salon that I like and would go to regularly. I highly recommend this salon.

Isabella C This was my first time coming here and I didn’t have a good experience. When she was filing my nails she cut my cuticle area and I was bleeding on multiple fingers. My nails looked nothing like the picture I showed her and I left very unhappy. I usually can have my acrylics last for a couple weeks but after 1 week the nails were already breaking. I don’t recommend.

Thanh Tran You know that feeling you get when you show a nail tech a picture on Pinterest and they say they can replicate it then it comes out nothing like it? I’ve experienced that feeling too many times. Diane is the opposite. She’s always able to perfectly replicate all my nail dreams and even add her own personal touch to take my nail game to the next level!

Heidi Dworetzky I don’t have a problem with both branches I just don’t like the branch in San Carlos. I filed my own nails let’s start there. The lady didn’t understand me because of lack of communication. She was making them shorter and shorter but still filing them the wrong shape. Which I don’t have a problem finding my own nails. I do have a problem when they still don’t do it right after me showing them how to do one. Then they messed them up all over again. Which ended with me just taking the file and fixing it myself which I was happy to do. She had a extremely bad attitude. Saying the boss can take over and do them which I don’t have time for. Then I asked her to fix a toenail which would’ve required her to take the color off put acrylic on to make my nails look square and she just filed my nail in a circle and said OK all done. It’s clearly not square the one she was supposed to fix. Also she didn’t want to do cuticle oil they had it. But I was ready to leave. So I didn’t bother to ask. And had an attitude about it the entire time so I probably will not come back to the location in San Carlos. I will go to the one in Belmont where at least they are very pleasant.

leena Elazzeh I had a very disappointing experience at this nail salon. I came in as a walk-in and spoke with the manager at the front desk, asking if they had time for a manicure, pedicure, eyebrow service, and a kids’ manicure for my 3-year-old. She assured me they did and sent me on my way to start. While I was getting my nails done, I reminded them about my daughter’s manicure, and again, the manager said, “Yes, yes, don’t worry.” After finishing my nails, she told me to wait in the waiting room. Just a couple of minutes later, she came over and said she wouldn’t be able to finish the rest of my services. When I asked why, she gave no real explanation and simply said they were fully booked. This was extremely frustrating, especially since she had confirmed earlier that there was enough time. To make matters worse, this isn’t the first time this has happened to me here. I’m very disappointed with the lack of organization and professionalism. I won’t be coming back after this experience. Also if you see the cob webs in the window i think you’ll never come back.

Giovanna Favero Sadly my manicure moved to another state and I decided to try this salon. My old manicure used to do gel with a protective shield, ensuring my nails remained strong. My nails were strong even after the gel, I knew that because a lot of times after 2-3 weeks the gel would come off and I could see my nails, still strong and healthy as you can see in these pictures. However, at this salon, the removal process left my nails excessively polished, making them thin, weak, and painful. I strongly advise against choosing this place for your nail care needs!!

Julia Kutik I truly love Belmont First Impression! I recently discovered this gem and couldn’t be happier. I now treat my mother to her mani/pedi services here as well — it’s become our go-to spot. The service is consistently attentive, and the ladies are always polite, professional, and welcoming. They have a fantastic selection of colors to choose from, and the pedicure chairs are incredibly comfortable — you really feel pampered. The prices are very affordable, which is a big plus. Another huge plus: their gel mani/pedi polish lasts beautifully for 3–4 weeks! The quality is excellent, and it really makes a difference. At first, I wasn’t sure about the dimmed lighting, but I quickly realized how calming it is. It actually helps me relax more during the service. I also love the cozy couches in the waiting area — such a thoughtful touch that makes the whole experience even more pleasant. One of the things I appreciate most is their flexibility. Even when I called just 30 minutes before the time I needed, they managed to accommodate me without hesitation. Highly recommend this salon — it’s a wonderful combination of comfort, quality, and care!

Alina Arsaeva I’ve been living in the Bay Area for almost two years, and I finally found a salon that I’m completely happy with :) I got my nails done there for the first time, and the result was incredible - perfect cuticle care and super neat polish. I haven’t had my nails treated this well in a long time. Huge thanks to the girls for both the amazing result and the cozy atmosphere they create in the salon! You walk in and immediately feel the good vibes :) These photos were taken three days after my visit, and my manicure still looks like new even though I’ve been cleaning and doing dishes! It’s like magic :)

Gabriella K Update: As this is my 3rd appointment with this salon. I came to see Olga for the second time. She is very efficient and does beautiful work. I was just disappointed from my last service because at the end of my appointment I was informed I needed to pay an extra $30 on top of the $110 plus tip I was already going to pay due to the fact that Olga fixed all my nails that had a slight curve and straightened them out. I think I would have been more receptive to the additional charge if I was told about it up front and not when I was checking out. Even though they gave me a slight discount to $20, I couldn’t tip as much as I would have liked to due to me always budgeting these appointments. This is my second time seeing her and she never mentioned that she would need to do that type of correction next time. I made another appointment in November because they always deliver consistent work, but I will be trying a different technician next time. As you can see my natural nails have grown so much! Trust the process. Original review: I have always wanted to try a Russian manicure and was excited to see a new shop opening in Menlo Park. I booked an online appointment with Farah. I was warmly greeted by the owner and her staff. Offered refreshments and was taken a few minutes before my appointment time. Farah was EXTREMELY thorough! Her attention to detail wasn’t only spot on but you could tell she really loves what she does. My nail are in bad shape. The gel builder technique will strengthen my natural nails and get them to the health and length I want. Booked my next appointment before leaving. Im in Apache off the reservation you would think it would be a little bit more respectful when theyre on my land. Im half heartedly joking but they really do judge us based on how we look. I was going to buy a full treatment for my friends mom. They just were not very warm or welcoming. Definitely have to look a certain way.
