Casburn Spencer I had a tremendous pre-crown experience here. This office runs like clockwork with an impressive team experience. They had me on the dentists chair in a short time. Within minutes, my teeth were diagnosed. The dentist took her time to explain my options. There was an issue with my insurance, so they called the company for a resolution. The second visit was as impressive as the first. Things were done in a clockwork-type manner, with each step explained. All my questions were answered by Dr Kay and her assistant. I had temporary front teeth in while my crowns were made. The results were amazing. My front teeth were broken when I was a child, and Ive had lots of work done to them over the years. Never have i had so much comfort and pleasure in the results. They deserve more stars.

P Igbide Doctors and Hygienist are excellent. However, the front desk should do better with regard returning calls when they promised. I cant count the number of times when they promised to call, but never. I have been with this dental care for 9 years, and I have introduced several patients to join. Front desk, please do better.

Roger Jauregui I am from out of state and I unfortunately had a wisdom tooth that needed immediate extraction; i called multiple places and some of them did not even answer - much less accommodate me. I phoned this location and I was given an appointment the very next day in the morning! The tooth was removed the very next day for a great price and it was so quick and easy that I did not even know that it was done when it was removed. Every single staff member from the receptionists, to the tech, and Doctor Nguyen, were amazing! I highly recommend this location.

Stefanie Rae Arizabal I came for a cleaning with a 9:30 appointment, and spent almost 3 hours there. I got called for X-rays 45 minutes in, and after was put in a chair and told I’d be seen soon, only to wait another hour for my exam. The exam took about 5 minutes. I had to ask to have a cleaning (they were going to have me schedule another appointment). I waited another 30 minutes for the cleaning. I really liked the dentist that did my cleaning, but there was no advanced warning of their short staff or long wait times, and when I asked why I had been waiting an hour and a half to be seen I was told I could reschedule if I wanted. The staff is nice but there should have been more transparency and upfront about the wait because I would not have willingly waited that long had I known. The dentist does his job well, but the lack of communication and respect for customer timing was disappointing. I had to sign forms saying if I’m 15 minutes late my appointment can be cancelled, yet was subjected to that amount of waiting. I have since read reviews that others experienced similar wait times. Seems like this place is a hit or miss.

Tia Monroe Absolutely horrible! Waited an hour before they saw me. Took multiple x-rays and said they don’t share x-rays with other dentists and unnecessarily blasted with radiation. Then they tell me that the dentist is booked up so they can’t see me. They never even looked at the intake sheet that said I was there to have an abscess treated and then they told me that they don’t treat them there. Completely unprofessional do not go here ! wasted two hours of my Saturday! Would give them negative stars if I could!

Alan Tang I took my Aunt for a dental appointment at Western Dental. Although she is diagnosed with dementia, they accepted her after I did the registration paperwork. The staff was professional and courteous. They were able to patiently guide her through taking x-rays. She was treated well. Even though her visit took a bit longer, the staff was very accommodating. The facility was very clean and well equipped. She has another appointment for an examination and I feel comfortable taking her there. Alan T.

Zoe Smith My dentist Jessica and hygienist, Linda are wonderful. However, the owner has changed the insurance offered by the practice in such a way that I will be leaving Total Health. Years ago, their insurance program cost $350 per year, then it took a leap to $600 per year, but gave us the option of paying monthly which I did for years. Now there is no monthly option and paying $600 at once is a financial hardship for me. Long time patients have to pay the full $600 to renew their yearly policy and new patients have to pay for four years in full. There are so many "what ifs" in peoples lives that this policy is greedy and unfair. What if a patient dies one year in? What if they lose their job and have to move? What if they simply want to change dentists? So I will be looking for a new dentist now. But, as I said, Jessica and Linda are great and I will really miss them.

Melissa Crehan Far and away the best dental office Ive been lucky enough to find. Ive got a mouth full of disaster, have required extensive work to get me just out of the red. The entire staff has always been nothing less than incredibly kind and thoughtful, going out of their way to make me feel comfortable when Im at my most embarrassed and uncomfortable. Dr. Ngo is exceedingly talented and thorough, I dont know how but she manages always to take as much time as it takes so that I leave informed but not intimidated. By every measure, I cant rate their office highly enough, if youre looking for a new dentist or have a dental emergency this is a fantastic, expert practice.

Lauren Cruz Ive been a patient with Total Health for 4/5 years now. Ive had a lot of ups and downs with them, mostly with communication with the admin. The only aspect that has kept coming me back and from switching to a different provider is the wonderful dental assistant Diane. Throughout my time, Diane has gone above and beyond in many ways. She really takes the time to get to know you, to provide you with extra tips to help your concerns, and makes you feel taken care of. If I wasnt moving out of the area I would definitely stay with Total Dental just to keep seeing Diane

Katharine Baxter Redwood Pediatric Dentistry of Oakland was such a wonderful experience. As an adult I truly dislike the dentist so I was nervous taking my 14month old to her first appointment but it was a delight. Hannah and Dr. Franklin were so kind and even sang Wheels on the Bus to my daughter as they brushed her teeth. Everything is geared to kids and they are so patient. I am really happy to have picked such a great kids dentist my first try. I am looking forward to the years to come with this team.

Rosario Becerra This is our new favorite pediatric dentistry! When we arrived, my daughter noticed right away her name written on the glass door. It made her feel special! I brought my 15 month old while her older sister had work done. It’s super kid/baby friendly - toys everywhere to keep your littles busy. At todays appointment, she got her tooth “wiggled out” and didn’t even realize when it happened. She also got a few sealants done at the same time. They really know what they’re doing all while making sure to work productively. I have an appointment for my oldest and will be making an appointment for my 15 month old soon! Highly recommend!

Roxanne Mosley Vicky my hygienist was phenomenal! The best I have ever encountered! Her love for what she does is clear in every stroke of her tools. Thank you for making a generally tough and painful experience comfortable. This morning I woke up with no pain. Unbelievable! She did a deep cleaning and when I say she got everything..... I mean she got everything! She is razor focused yet maintains a very kind and sensitive demeanor. I loved the total experience at the Dental Office. And the Music choice is great as well...smiling with clean teeth.

Romeo B. I recently visited this dental office and had a positive experience with the Dentist and Hygienist, who were both professional, informative, and clearly skilled at their jobs. After receiving an X-ray and assessment, I was presented with potential treatment options, including the extraction of one tooth and a possible bone graft. However, when I spoke with the receptionist and the finance department representative (who was on video call), I was quoted nearly $1,600 for the proposed treatment. This amount seemed excessive to me, so I inquired about the cost of just the tooth extraction, which came to around $600. While I earn a decent salary that may be above average for many, this price, even with my dental insurance, felt too high. I decided to take some time to think it over before making any decisions. Unfortunately, I felt uncomfortable when the receptionist insisted I e-sign a document, which I firmly declined since it stated I would "agree to the terms" that I didnt. Despite my clear response, she continued to pressure me. When I expressed my concerns about the pricing, the finance department representative abruptly removed her headphones, displaying frustration, and ended the call, which struck me as unprofessional. Although I genuinely appreciated the care I received from the Dentist and Hygienist, my overall experience was marred by issues with the financial aspect of the visit. This left me with concerns about monitoring my accounts for potential identity theft, which is deeply unfortunate given my initial hopes for their services. I share this to encourage others to be cautious and advocate for clarity regarding costs and procedures in their dealings with the financial department.

Jessica Richardson This is the best dentist office I have ever experienced. It is bright and clean; the prices are honest and fair; and I cannot say enough about the staff. Dr. DeVinney and his staff guided me through an emergency dental situation and provided exceptional care. They are all so kind, helpful, and went above and beyond for me. Susan Beidler While a root canal is not pleasant, Doctor Kathpalia and Assistant Susan did everything they could to make the experience pain free. My mouth and jaw presented a few access issues, but they worked around those. I appreciate the thorough way they made sure the treatment was complete (with X-rays) before letting me leave. I also appreciate the pain medication they gave me to get ahead of the post-op pain!

East Blue I went here last January for emergency (toothache) and they said I need to wait a call in 1-2weeks or more for the Root canal. Guess what?! It’s almost august! No call yet. My toothache is getting worse! Do you want me to wait 1 year for just root canal?! I went here because I know the Root Canal procedure is covered on my insurance. I don’t want to pay hella money on other clinics! Worse dental clinic. They don’t care about their patients!

Kulsum Hussain Terrible service!!! I had a biking accident at the age of 8 and my tooth died. The root canal they did got infected and they also lost my file. Then they failed to let me know about the follow up procedures. They do not respect people with medi/denti-cal. They repeatedly told me that I need to pay for certain dental equipment but just end up taking the money instead. They prey on the underprivileged, who can not stand up for themselves. Non of their doctors have to take responsibility for their accidents or mistakes because the doctors are constantly coming in and out. They are extremely disorganized and unprofessional. Overall, they are terrible.

habtom ghebremedhin First and foremost, they have very uncoordinated and inaccurate communication among the staff members. They dispatch inconsistent information regarding your appointment date and reason of appointment you have. My whole family get treated there. But, I have had several times of misinformation about my daughters’ appointment dates and reason of the appointment. And, I started getting treated for my tooth here. But, the level and cost of treatment went from bad and less expensive to worst and most expensive level of treatment. I wish I would have extracted my tooth than costing me that much money and time without getting treated perfectly.

Leslie Bodner Ive been taking my family to HP Dental Group for the last several years after our former dentist turned his practice into a "dental spa". I love the fact that HP Dental is thorough and meticulous in their work, and appropriately conservative in their treatment recommendations. It is easy to get an appointment, and their front office staff is friendly. Dr. Le is quite engaging - hes a foodie and has great restaurant recommendations!

Richard Ha I had a very pleasant experience with HP Dental Group. I went in for the first time a few weeks ago for a routine check up and cleaning but came out much more knowledgable and invested in my oral hygiene. Dr. Le was extremely personable, polite, and informative. He walked me through the entire process and explained to me in detail about my x-rays, photographs, and action steps I could take to make sure I am in good health. I would definitely visit again!

Thuy Nguyen Dr. Pham has been my dentist since I was a kid, which was some 20+ years ago. He extracted my first tooth and still remains the best dentist Ive had up to date! I now live abroad but return back to the Bay Area every 6 months and always make an appointment to see him. His staff is extremely friendly and knowledgable. The office is contemporary, clean and utilizes modern technology. Overall, impeccable work and pleasant experiences at HP Dental.

I do still think timing is an issue; she was 50min late for my recent cleaning, 40min late st last year’s cleaning, about 15-20min late the previous cleaning. I do think she’s a good and conscientious dentist but I cannot afford to wait as long as her appointments require. my own workday

Mariah Dancing I had a really good experience with Dr. Rezai. I had a bad toothache and she was able to fit me in same-day to assess. I ended up having a cleaning and full-mouth X-ray, which she does at a discount. She was gentle, thorough, very friendly and personable and very competent! I felt I was in great hands! She ended up referring me to an endodontist for a root canal, but I will be going back to her for some fillings and any future dental needs! So glad I found her!

Scott Yu I had a small dental procedure done in May by this Dentist in Oakland, first I had to pay $415 co-pay upfront, and the insurance should cover the rest, he assured me that won’t be anymore out of pocket cost, and if the insurance covers more, he will refund the difference. Now the work is done, insurance paid the claim, and he wanted me to pay additional co-pay. Apparently he low-ball the co-pay to lure me into doing the procedure. BE AWARE OF THIS DISHONEST DENTIST.

Leo Chung Dr. Choi has been my dentist for more than 5 years, starting from high school and continuing until I finished college. During my sophomore year at Cal, I began experiencing pain in my wisdom teeth. Initially, I was reluctant to have them removed, but the pain got so bad it got in the way of eating and studying. Dr. Choi was patient enough to show me the X-ray and explain the risks of waiting further. He also referred me to an excellent surgeon. Overall, my experience has been extremely positive. J L Been going to dr. Elisa since I was 9 years old when it was originally owned by dr. Vaugn Lee. They are very nice and take care of you and your needs and best of all, they are open on Saturdays which works excellent for my schedule. I now take my whole family to dr. Elisas office.
