He was courteous, patient, and professional (as was the rest of the staff). Even though I no longer live in the Easy Bay, I’ll be switching to Dr. Choi.
Redwood Pediatric Dentistry of Oakland - Oakland Katharine Baxter: Redwood Pediatric Dentistry of Oakland was such a wonderful experience. As an adult I truly dislike the dentist so I was nervous taking my 14month old to her first appointment but it was a delight. Hannah and Dr. Franklin were so kind and even sang Wheels on the Bus to my daughter as they brushed her teeth. Everything is geared to kids and they are so patient. I am really happy to have picked such a great kids dentist my first try. I am looking forward to the years to come with this team.
Endospecialists- Root Canal Specialist - Oakland Sarah Spielman: Great root canal experience. Dr. Kim was great. Gave me an extra anesthesia shot when I started feeling discomfort. They also gave me a weighted blanket to help calm my nerves!
H P Dental - Oakland Leslie Bodner: Ive been taking my family to HP Dental Group for the last several years after our former dentist turned his practice into a "dental spa". I love the fact that HP Dental is thorough and meticulous in their work, and appropriately conservative in their treatment recommendations. It is easy to get an appointment, and their front office staff is friendly. Dr. Le is quite engaging - hes a foodie and has great restaurant recommendations!
Neshat Nina Rezai DDS - Oakland Azadeh Nikou: My experience with Dr. Neshat Rezai has been more than satisfactory. She took great care of my teeth. After my treatment which was cosmetic work on my two front teeth, she checked over to perfection of the final work. Thank you Dr. Rezai.
Little Gold Fish Children’s Dentistry - Oakland jennifer roberts: I love Dr. Le, He is the best dentist Ive ever brought my daughter to.Were in and out! I love the experience.He makes her feel so confident when she leaves with a pretty smile. His office is so very family Orientated and I love how he lets Other children come and watch him work to make them feel comfortable When its their time to get in the chair.
Total Health Dental Care - Berkeley Zoe Smith: My dentist Jessica and hygienist, Linda are wonderful. However, the owner has changed the insurance offered by the practice in such a way that I will be leaving Total Health. Years ago, their insurance program cost $350 per year, then it took a leap to $600 per year, but gave us the option of paying monthly which I did for years. Now there is no monthly option and paying $600 at once is a financial hardship for me. Long time patients have to pay the full $600 to renew their yearly policy and new patients have to pay for four years in full. There are so many "what ifs" in peoples lives that this policy is greedy and unfair. What if a patient dies one year in? What if they lose their job and have to move? What if they simply want to change dentists? So I will be looking for a new dentist now.
But, as I said, Jessica and Linda are great and I will really miss them.
Western Dental & Orthodontics - Oakland Stefanie Rae Arizabal: I came for a cleaning with a 9:30 appointment, and spent almost 3 hours there. I got called for X-rays 45 minutes in, and after was put in a chair and told I’d be seen soon, only to wait another hour for my exam. The exam took about 5 minutes. I had to ask to have a cleaning (they were going to have me schedule another appointment). I waited another 30 minutes for the cleaning. I really liked the dentist that did my cleaning, but there was no advanced warning of their short staff or long wait times, and when I asked why I had been waiting an hour and a half to be seen I was told I could reschedule if I wanted.
The staff is nice but there should have been more transparency and upfront about the wait because I would not have willingly waited that long had I known. The dentist does his job well, but the lack of communication and respect for customer timing was disappointing. I had to sign forms saying if I’m 15 minutes late my appointment can be cancelled, yet was subjected to that amount of waiting. I have since read reviews that others experienced similar wait times. Seems like this place is a hit or miss.
