Crystal Simmons DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They will cancel your appointment!!! I read it in the reviews, didnt heed the warning, and found out. I had appointments for my husband and I. I tried to call in advance, no one answered the phone. When I got there, they said theyre only taking ortho appointments. I asked why then book me for a new patient appointment. The girl at the front desk (was very nice BUT) said because the appointment was booked with corporate. I told her that the reviews were full of this very same complaint. She said she knew so... they know and theyre doing nothing about wasting peoples time. Theyre getting one star because zero stars is not an option. Completely and utterly ridiculous. Not to mention I was skeptical about visiting here anyway, knowing I should go to an actual private practice. I looked them up and found, they have an F rating on BBB. Never again!!!

Jess Lujan There was a point where a customer got very rude & demandful but the front desk remained so sweet throughout that whole time. I recommend asking for Neri & Dr.Hooman, my experience has never been bad here :))

Marcus swag Do not waste your time here! As of today, January 22 they are under new management and there is a reason because it is not a good place to go. The new lady is trying her best but it’s hard to clean up after so much trash; kind of just is what it is. They would need months if not years to turn things around. Even then you’re taking a gamble trying to book an appointment here because they will probably just tell you that something happened and that you’re not gonna be doing your appointment today.

Jade Heredia I had made an appointment for the beginning of the month of April and got seen. On the 29th, I’m suppose to get a cleaning and a called like a week and a half ago to see if everything was approved and they said yes. Then I get a call today saying no it’s not and we’re still waiting for authorization. So the lady in the office tells me “well you probably talked to corporate” I’m like so why would they tell me one thing and then you guys tell me another? And she said “well they don’t have all your information so they wouldn’t know” lady I don’t think that’s how that works. everytime I call this place they always say “well that’s what corporate said, we do things differently” OK THEN CHANGE THE NUMBER SO EVERYTHING IS DIRECTED TO YOUR OFFICE AND NOT CORPORATE! this location honestly sucks and is so dirty. And also it does not take up to 6 weeks for my insurance to approve a “cleaning” like that’s just ridiculous

Rosario Cardenas The women at the front desk lack customer service skills. One will tell you one thing & another will say something different. Not to mention that after leaving I realized the lady took my info down for some payment plan which I did not ask for, each time I asked about what it was she avoided the question & just kept telling me payment was going to be taken in store

gillian anderson If i could give it negative stars I would. This is the absolute WORST dentist in Fresno. It’s actually insane how bad they are. I called the number 2 times on separate occasions and the person scheduled me as a new patient each time after I clarified I had been there before many times within those conversations. The lady at the front desk and on the phone was rude. I went in last saturday only to find out that my appointment was canceled after I had gotten an email telling me about my confirmation. I showed the front desk lady and she said “I don’t know why it says that because we’re only doing orthodontics” They never left a voicemail nor an email. I get a call today from them telling me that my appointment is canceled because the dentist won’t be there. I don’t know if it’s a lack of common sense or employees who just hate their job but it’s ridiculous how bad they are. Why would you schedule a patient MULTIPLE times to cancel the day prior. I have been trying to get my cavities filled for WEEKS. They try to upsell you certain products and on the phone try to get you and anyone else you might know to get orthodontics at this point say you’re desperate and move on. I am usually extremely understanding and patient when it comes to these things as I understand that it’s not always the person over the phone or front desks fault but It’s happened a few too many times to where I am annoyed and frustrated. If I could give anyone considering coming here a takeaway it would be do not come here save yourself the time, money, and hassle and find a better dentist.

Adrien Ferguson Went in today for a check-in to see if there was any issues. We everyone was very polite, respectful, and explained everything to me very thoroughly. Also received a deep cleaning today that went really smoothly without discomfort with Mai kia.

Eric Rodriguez A few years ago I was a patient at Western Dental w. Shields and did not have a good experience. Recently I visited this Shields location again to give it another chance. I was greatly surprised at the improvements theyve made especially in customer service. The ladies in front were extremely nice and helpful. I even got to meet the office manager who was able to answer some additional questions i had. Because of their help, I now know what I have to take care of on my side regarding insurance. Ill be back next week. If youre reluctant to visit, give them a chance, you wont be disappointed.

Leta Palmer The team here is FABULOUS. I’ve come in a couple times, for an emergency check up, cleaning, and a filling, and each time I’ve been treated with care and respect. The ladies at the front, especially Evelyn, are great at answering questions and making sure I understand before I leave. Today I had Dr. Garza for my filling, and she was so sweet. It was also the easiest filling I’ve ever gotten. The other day I had Maika for my cleaning, and she explained as she went with humor and kindness. Definitely glad I started coming here!

MAI HER Very good, quick and friendly. Love that they text reminders, easy xray that dont hurt my son mouth like traditional xray sheets, no waiting forever, they have personal ceiling tv for my son to watch. Only thing is that they dont have a anesthesia person in place, you have to wait a bit for the person to come into town since he travels to various locations, but still great overall experience!! They accept medi-cal!! Never had a problem so far, their appointment slecetion through text does get fill up quick so respond to the availability through text quick if you dont want to make the call. Also, note that my son is autistic and he loves it here.

Sara Davidson So far we have had good experiences and my son who is on the spectrum with adhd has had to get crowns and a baby root canal and got through it pretty well which speaks to the staffs experience. The dental assistants are all very nice and good with kids. The dentist does a good job, she just doesn’t seem to interact/engage with children the way they need to be interacted with which is a bit weird considering her job is with kids (at least with my experience anyway). She is professional and she does do a good job which is the most important part.

Alfonzo Perez Needed a root canal the same day. Like an emergency one. Spoke to the receptionist around 930am and she explained that I could be seen today at 1020am. Made it there. I sat in the waiting room filling out papers for no more than 20minutes before I was called back. The staff is very very kind, knowledgeable, and very helpful. The customer service was amazing. The Doc gave me two options and his recommendation. I felt taken care of and stirred in the right direction or what was best for my pain to be taken away. Job was no longer than 10-20min max. The price is very flexible as well. Overall a great experience. I’m coming back for other services forsure.

Dora Couture Very helpful, very respectful and very understanding. The staff and doctor described everything they were doing and/or what they were going to do. They reepoxied my crown and it all feels great. Thank you for seeing me so soon and being understanding of the distance we traveled.

Dr.Gates is amazing he got me in and outta there quick, made sure I was comfortable during the process of extraction of my wisdom tooth very thankful.

No one L3ft B3hind I have not been to the office in a while bc my orthodontist left and there is a new one! I didnt feel heard when I called... But I came into the office for my sons visit ... I encountered a wonderful, pleasant, caring, thoughtful lady at the counter! Turns out that she was the office manager... KRISSY!! SHE BRIGHTENED MY ENTIRE DAY!! She understood my frustration! She resolved my issue! She made sure that I was taken care of! I appreciate her! I know that JESUS had her at the counter for me today!! Besides my wonderful experience with Krissy.... The office is very clean! Everyone is kind! They have a payment plan and they are very understanding! I really love it here!!

Amanda Ford If i could give negative stars I would. I went in for a crown and filling was told with insurance it would be $850. I knew this was a lie because I know my benefits and they had just overcharged me 369 for my daughters care. When i got the temp crown it was big and bulky and made my bite completely uneven. I was still numb and told them it was off so they made a slight correction. The next day I was eating and a bottom molar on the opposite side of the crown broke off. I went back and asked if they completed a bite test and they said yes. I asked for another bite test which then determined that the crown was too high which definably cause my other tooth to break. They are now trying to again to over charge me for the new root canal and crown I need because the incorrectly placed my temp crown. Do not go here they are scammers and need to be held accountable.

Maria Gonzalez Dr. Christopher Gates is a gem. Love this practice, they took me in when I was in an urgency, made every step of the way so smoothly. Currently on day 2 after my 4 wisdom teeth extractions and believe it when I say I have no swelling. Best experience thus far. As someone on the spectrum even calling for an appointment can be challenging but I am grateful for the staff that made me feel at ease.

If you have any problems with your teeth and want to get it done as soon as possible, this is the best spot. DAN CRITZ I had t do to the dentist which has always been a problem for me as I have always been terrified of dentists but luckily I found An Lac. They were very friendly an understanding. The dentist was the best as well as his staff. After getting me in his chair, he explained the procedures. I would need a root canal with filling to fix my problem. I went back in the next day to have the tooth fixed. The dentist took his time to tell me exactly what had to be done and explained every procedure as he was doing them, even taking pictures as he went. He was almost painless as he went to work on me and in about 45 minutes I was done with the root canal. He is a very friendly and conscientious person and did his job and did it well. I will be going back to this man and I will recommend him to anyone and everyone

Christina Delgado I cracked my tooth and needed a root canal and crown. My previous experience at another dental clinic was awful so, I was extremely nervous and anxious. When I walked in I was greeted and did paperwork quickly. The Dentist and assistant were SO NICE AND PROFESSIONAL. The Dentist took his time to calm me down by educating me on the procedure and made sure I had no pain! The root canal was a breeze and they do the crown right then and there! I’m leaving this review because it’s so hard to find a good dentist that knows what he’s doing and that has good bedside manner. They genuinely care about their patients. His staff is wonderful and strive to make you feel at home. I’m definitely a patient of them now! Thank you for taking care of me so well!

Yolanda Ramos This is truly one of the best dentists I have ever visited. They are so lovely, caring, and want your comfort at all times. They even let you watch shows while you get your teeth done, which helps keep your mind off. They provide snacks for you, including coffee, specially if youre an adult that has to wake up early to bring your children. They even have a play area for small children, and can provide TV shows for them as they get their teeth clean, it felt like you were simply visiting a family member. Honestly one of the best experiences, and I will be returning.

cameron s My family and I visited SFD Fresno for a dental check up and cleanings. We have imaging experience with their family. They have a very orientated environment, and the front staff were very polite and professional. They have very good manners and answered all the questions we had. We were called back immediately and were brought inside to get our cleaning. All the staff who took our x-rays and helped with the cleanings were very kind and engaged in conversation with us. They asked about our days and how we were doing. Dr. Sidhu was very thorough in explaining to me all about my teeth, we liked their professionalism and compassion and we will definitely go back and recommend everyone for their dental needs.

Christopher Moss Tried calling four times. Each time it said that the call would be connected after selecting option 2, it rang once and was disconnected each time. So either the phone system needs work or someone was purposely hanging up instead of taking my call (10:20ish on a Friday morning). Since hours are not listed, I wanted to ensure that they would be open but since I cant even get THAT information with a simple phone call, Ill be going elsewhere.
