Her skill and experience is clear from start to finish. Afsaneh also does my brows—her threading is so artful and precise. The salon is chic and conveniently located, and Allie, who does my keratin treatments, is so sweet and pleasant. I always leave feeling great. 10/10, Highly recommend!

Seth Anna was able see me the same day that I called. She cared a lot about the way I wanted the haircut done. I am very impressed with the attention to detail that was shown. It has been over a month since the haircut, and my hair still looks good.

Joe Codina I found Anna Kimchi Beauty Salon by a happy coincidence. The decision to try her Salon was based of reviews on Yelp. Reviews for Anna were all 4 or 5 stars. Customers liked Annas attention to detail and her personal touch. By happy coincidence I realized this was not the first time in her care. Years ago I had gone to another Redwood City salon and Anna was cutting my hair there. It was at least a decade ago and she is even better now. Today, Anna is in her own place. This is her 7th year at this location on El Camino. Her shop is next to an Italian Cannoli/Biscotti Bakery near the edge with Atherton. She has been at this location for 7 years and has over 20 years experience. Go get a Biscotti next door when you are done! Annas salon has a very homey vibe. Everything is very relaxed. She mainly works by appointment these days. There is only one customer at a time - You. That is what I was looking for: A solo proprietor. Mainly because of Covid fear. My hair had grown uncut for 3 plus years. It looked like aging hippie hair and pretty bad. See the before and after and judge for yourself. I plan to go back again and again. Melissa Im extremely satisfied with my hair! Ive been to see Laura 3 times now. Once for a color correction, and a hair cut, and this last time, more blonde highlights that frame my face. She is personable, professional, and knows what she is doing! I would refer anyone to go see Laura for a cut/color/style. The salon is downtown redwood city across from Philz coffee and it is a beautiful salon. I felt very at ease there.

Scott Rogoff Laura has been giving me great haircuts for years, so I had to check out her brand new studio. Just enter Sola Salons from Broadway, and Firefly is immediately to your left. The decor is charming. The experience (wash, cut, blow dry, etc.) was excellent as usual. Laura always keeps me entertained with lively conversation. This says a lot, coming from an introvert who often prefers silence over small talk. Highly recommended!

I recently got a haircut from Maddie, and it was the best experience I’ve ever had. Instead of just copying my inspiration picture, she worked with me to tailor the cut to my face shape, making it feel like a truly collaborative process. She took her time to get every detail perfect, and since it was a model cut (she’s still in training), other stylists, including Deb, the salon owner, stepped in to give their insight. Her Own Frequency Salon proprietor, Darcy Chacon, has been my go-to cut and color professional for the last 15 to 16 years. She is without a doubt the most highly skilled stylist I have encountered in her field, and I truly consider her an artist. When you find a good one, they are worth their weight in gold. My hair has changed so much throughout the last few decades, so having someone who really knows it is a godsend. If you want a truly exceptional resource for taking care of all your hair needs, you will not find a higher quality human than Darcy. Even though I am leaving the Bay Area, I will continue to follow her anywhere. She is worth every penny and I highly recommend her.

The salon is a simple, comfortable and friendly salon in a little market area so sometimes it is hard to miss as it blends with a local brewery, restaurants, yoga studio and Market, but its quiet and sometimes lively pending the day. Irma is great at what she does. When I donated my hair and cut off 8inches or so, she did a very retro inverted Bob which I loved and she knew it would work. If you need a great haircut, Irma and 2 other ladies in the salon will take care if you! Call ahead to check who is available and an appointment is recommended, but they have.taken walk ins. :) have fun

Maria Ledesma-Kap Safe space for LGBTQIA+, woman- owned business. Salon owner Sofia is backed up by years of experience and having owned a salon of her own for years. I found Sofia warm and welcoming. She knows Asian hair- which is difficult to cut. She listens to how you want your hair done. She also does men’s hair fyi… a pixie cut will cost you $90 which includes a wash and styling. Long hair costs from $120. I love that she has longer hours compared to other salons in the same place. Appointments can be made online and yes, she does answer her phone! It’s great to still be able to speak to a human afterall… located at Sola Salons on Broadway. Convenient to grab a bite to eat before or after your appointment.
