Melissa Cotrone As always, I like to leave a detailed review on several criteria. AMBIENCE: What a gorgeous, boutique skin care location! I honestly was shocked that such a high class establishment could be found in a little town like Sonora. Beautiful decor, airy and delicate touches gave it the perfect atmosphere. The little treats in the waiting room were so thoughtful, and wonderful natural fragrances and soothing music permeated the air. Spotlessly clean and truly relaxing. SERVICE: I absolutely LOVED my facial with Christina! She was very sweet and welcoming. I’m always worried before a new facial because I have super sensitive skin, but Christina asked me questions about my skin, and addressed my concerns, so I just let her do what she recommended. It was awesome! She was very and professional and gave a few quiet words about the products she was applying and why. I also loved that she really listened to my skin concerns and chose products for the facial that addressed them. Plus I was able to buy the right ones later. PRODUCTS: I also really love the product they sell, Eminence. I have used SO MANY eye creams from so many brands over the years, and I can honestly say this is the best I’ve ever used. It keeps my eyes line-free, and soft and dewy looking. A perfect recommendation, thank you so much! PRICE: Commensurate for the level of treatment, beautiful atmosphere, quality products and highly effective skin treatment. I looked ten years younger when I left! You really do get what you pay for!! CONCLUSION: I was an esthetician for years, and I know how to take care of my skin, but I can’t believe the difference this treatment made! My skin was actually firmer, fine lines were almost gone, and my skin looked fresh, young and healthy! I had absolutely no after-effects, and even days afterward, people were complimenting me and wondering what I had done! I’m really looking forward to my next facial! Once you’ve been the professional, it’s hard to go back to being the patient, but this was a pleasure! A good friend of mine went as well, and she absolutely loved her skin after Christina’s treatment. To recommend and return!!

A A Really nice salon, products, and equipment. I’ve never had a facial with Kim but I know for sure Christina is nuts. She is very nice but very nuts unfortunately. She was very frantic and distracted during the appointments (I had several), talked fast and non stop, and would say contradicting things about what to do for my skin ( ie first I need to exfoliate less because it was aggravating my skin then I need to exfoliate more, then suggested I had parasites in my skin that were causing the skin texture I had). She got very rough with my skin because of how fast she was moving around. My skins sensitive so it broke out a lot the last time I saw her, which never usually happens. It got so alarming I had to stop going, I couldn’t relax during my facials. It’s too bad they don’t have any other facialists available for people who work during the week.

danielle holody They are no longer going to carry semi permanent hair dye, only the ones that contain PPD (grey coverage) which I am extremely allergic to as well, and will kill me (leaned by mistake and landed me in the ER 3x). As a small town and a beauty supply you would think they would have this knowledge and would accommodate. HUGE bummer and now have to order via Amazon, which it takes 2 weeks to get living here.

Dena Mathias Currently Sally offers NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES. Bought a hair color on the recommendation of an employee. After researching the color I found numerous reviews stating the color came out exactly opposite of what I am hoping to achieve. I called asking about an exchange and was told NO EXCHANGES. So Im now out the $$ I spent on the dye; plus now I have to buy more in the color I originally wanted but was talked out of :(

George Chaney I went to Sally in sonora on 6 /24/2020 I bought a fingernail file and I used a $20.00 bill, I dropped my $18.00 change and only 2 ppl were there and they both worked there the one with the pinkish purple hair was sweeping up right where I dropped the money. Tell her shes welcome to keep it .I wont be back. Thanks girls...

No No Great barbers cant go wrong with either one. Tell them or show them a pic of the cut you want and they deliver. I even found my pomade there for cheaper than any other place in town. Very affordable!

Montana Sand Music Really nice, real people. They want to connect to you and also give you the best haircut the way you want it. They can work off photos really well! Ask for Sarah if you want a female cut. She is amazing!

Henningsen Chris “CowboyCree” My haircut was excellent, and the ladies barbers were very friendly. Im looking forward to when they start doing shaves! **Edit** Went back just a week ago (Dec 22) and got another haircut and this time was able to get a shave. WOW!! An amazing experience. Have to say, a womans touch for a wet shave is very different than what Im used to, and was very pleasant! I think I even fell asleep, it was so comfortable and felt so good. I HIGHLY recommend this shop for all your barber needs, men, women and kids!! Update 10/11/2023: been a while, and the haircut is still fabulous. There was only one barber there when I stopped by around 130, and there were a few customers, but she got through each one quickly without rushing, very professional, and she did a fantastic job with each one. Im very happy with my cut, and I look forward to coming back again!

Shelly Nancy is a super sweet lady and provided a relaxing experience for my husband and I for our anniversary. She was incredibly thoughtful and made our anniversary more memorable by providing an extra special treat with our pedicures. Pedicure lasted approximately 90 minutes and I was happy with the experience. I would definitely return when I’m in the area.

Genessa Christian First off I received 6 consecutive calls with no voicemail left. I was driving and thought how unprofessional. I finally accept a call and Im told if you hurry we can fit you in. I must have mistaken what was told to me. But I was at the salon 18 minutes later. To see someone sitting at a nail booth telling me Im too late. So SIX phonecalls and not one call to tell me dont bother coming!! Gas is $4.00 a gallon. Im a single mom. I drive a SUV. How unprofessional and inconsiderate. But what can I expect. I expect nothing less. This is why I havent trusted anyone in this county to touch my hair!! Oh how I miss living in a city with real professionals . Im also going to thank all involved in this unprofessional, inconsiderate situation. Thank you for sparing me a Bad hair cut!!!! Now I know, but should have known better "Country Girl Salon"?!?! So original and simple....

Rachelle Smith-Covey Anissa has scheduled me for waxing and she makes a point to make the first time very comfortable! She’s fantastic, the ladies there are sweet. I was suggested here by my best friend’s mom. Jodie works on her hair and it’s Fantastic and So vividly colorful. Thanks for being so accommodating! To the bitter one-star-lady, she obviously has nothing better to do than to leave poor reviews for everyone. If she wanted a quick hair cut without an appointment, go to a walk-in barber shop.

Leena Wow, whoever answers the phone here is incredibly rude and had SO MUCH attitude when I asked for a certain stylist. This was going to be my first time coming in…will definitely not be going there. Learn how to talk to customers, shame on you.

Nat K I have always been happy with my hair cut. Now I walked in and checked in and they said it would be 10 minutes. I waited and waited because people kept coming in and said they checked in on line. Because of that they were taken first. Not good!!!

Heather Doyle LOVE!!! I have had my hair done by Becky for over ten years and she always nails it. I love change and edgy looks. She is always honest about what my hair can and cannot do. She helps me keep my hair healthy all while giving me the many looks I want. I can’t even say enough good stuff. Oh yeah, and Amanda. She does an amazing job on my nails. Attention to detail. She is a perfectionist and spends the extra time to make everything beautiful.

Professional Reviewer If you are looking to pop in to a barber and get a quick hair cut, nothing fancy, this is your place. Anything more than that, and go elsewhere. This place is all about volume, with the maximum time I’ve spent in the chair being maybe 5 or 6 minutes. When I leave, every hair is cut down to size, but I’m not too picky. Does it look awesome? No. I give the end result a B+ on a good day. He’s not going to take his time to make it picture perfect. He’s not a perfectionist, much less a stylist. So if you need a perfect cut for a special event, look elsewhere. But if you need to get the hair down to a manageable length, he’s your man. That said, the rapid rise in prices over the last five years is getting to be a bit much. Back when it was $8 it was great. $10 was still a good deal. Now that it’s at $12, you would expect a bit more time, when I can go down the street for $15 and get a 15-20 minutes detailed cut. Just saying...

Stone Davidson its been many years since Shannon has cut my hair, but Im here to tell you that Shannon cuts hair better than anyone has ever cut my hair. Wish she had a shop back in Texas!

Stevie Lamas Shannon was amazing! Helped us out with questions about haircuts and my sons and husbands hair came out perfect! Get the added bonus of a massage after the haircut too! We had just walked out of Deluxe Barber down the street due to some very rude and bad service, Shannon was wearing her face mask, took our temps and was super helpful and a wonderful person to chat with. Isaac Swanson Shannon gave me the best haircut Ive had in several years. Plus I came in a stranger and left as a friend. If only I was in the Sonora area more frequently! A haircut this good where I live in San Francisco is $100+, so maybe I have a good reason to come back to Sonora more frequently after all!

Kayla Boyd The owner called me personally to apologize! She didnt respond to my review on here or send me a email. she took the time to call & explain why the shop has different business hours weekly. When I left my review I didnt take into account that covid has fuxked small business everywhere but more importantly how its effected the employees. They now have to do the job of 3 people on top of dealing with difficult customer. Im changing my review bc I didnt take into consideration that covid has effected business everywhere & the fact that the owner called me personally Just arrived at 440 to get haircuts for my daughters and surprise surprise they are closed. The tape covers the 7pm but online it also says 6pm. So sick of going places who close whenever they want!! When the time posted online or at the property says these are the hours your open from then you should be open!!

Lea-Marie Hayward It was great; my kids wanted a spur of the moment haircut, so we called Supercuts and were able to get an appointment for an hour later. Dejah did a fantastic job with my picky 8 year old, discussing his style choice with him, and really making sure he liked how it looked and felt. He is so happy. Dejah also did a wonderful job on my shy 4 year old, giving her a trim and getting rid of the last of the baby hair. We are super happy with our visit.

Chey Ree I absolutely love the staff! They are amazing and always do a good job. However, The haircuts are usually uneven and I almost never get exactly what I asked for. (Whether it be the style or the length something is always off) That being said, it is a chain salon and not a super professional setting, so I never expect top of the line service. Even with the lack of finesse, these lady still do a wonderful job! Great for a simple, quick haircut.

Tina Gordon Wanda did a fantastic job on my hair. She specializes in mixing the perfect color. She used Brandy coloring which was just what I was hoping for, medium brown with natural highlights. Next she cut and styled my hair. Her prices are reasonable. She also specializes in permanent make-up.
