So this time I went for a salon, Natalie was the lovely lady that had time in her schedule to fit me in. When I walked in the aroma was very pleasant unlike so many salons, it felt roomy yet warm and comfortable. Nicely broken up to allow for privacy and function at each station. Natalie was an extremely interesting and proficient stylist who can carry on a conversation and make you feel welcome. After a nice smooth, gentle, cut off too the very comfortable wash basin. For what if it had lasted 5 more minutes would have put me to sleep, rinse and wash. When it was all done I couldnt believe she was only charging what a normal barber would charge. So many salons are double the price of a barber for a simple buzz cut. So I was more than happy to pay what was asked and more. When I am in Chico I will without doubt return the Two22 salon and to Natalie. I did only rate 4 stars because they were unable to help me with my facial waxing needs.
Wildflower Salon - Chico Teresa: I am so happy to have found Wildflower Salon. I had been seeking a stylist in Chico after making my permanent relocation here. I had parted company with my stylist in Yuba City because of a situation I felt was professionally unethical.
When I contacted Wildflower, I was preparing to make an emergency donation drive to Los Angeles to aid their fire victims. I was extremely short on time.
In the midst of hustling to get my supporters and my donations together, plus dealing with multiple safety and security services done on my Jeep, time was getting shorter, actually I was just a few days from ho time.
I had contacted a few other salons and received no return call. Finally, I was able to reach Allure and was connected to Mario. I thought I recognized his name, and then when he mentioned he used to work at a salon in Yuba City. I was certain he was who I thought he was. He had space, and we made an appointment. He told me I would receive a text confirming the appointment, then a reminder and another reminder, which I received. I replied appropriately by text or phone to them. The morning of the appointment, I called to be sure the address for Allure was accurate and to confirm I was on my way. I was told by a woman at the salon that I wasnt even on the books. She said she would contact Mario and have him contact me. He never did. I have no phone or message records to validate any effort to contact me.
So here I was, two days from a mad dash to the fire zone, overdo for an appointment, and quite disappointed.
This is where the sun shines on wildfire salon. I left a message with them asking if ANYBODY could find a spot to wash and style my hair within the next two days. I received a call from a young woman named Sunshine. She was able to book me. I am delighted to say that her name fits her persona. She did a fabulous job. We discussed coloring, belayage costs, etc, and I will be returning for those services. The salon is lovely. Rachel, the owner, is very grounded, and Sunshine is a vibrant, youthful, compassionate young woman.
808 & Co Hair & Beauty - Chico Sarah Bradley: If you have curly hair, I highly recommend going to Megan. I hadn’t had my hair cut in way too long and she brought my curls back to life. She listened to what I wanted and executed perfectly. :)
The Hair Company - Chico Emily Zimmerman: Ive been going to Amy for about 10 years and she is the only Nail tech I will ever see.
Shes very organized, always on time and her station is always impeccably clean.
The Salon itself is GORGEOUS and very clean. Jackie has a drink ready for me when I walk in...what more can you ask for!?
House of Krood - Hair Salon & Boutique - Chico KATIE DEL PERO: Wonderful Salon & Owner!! I have blond hair that is fine & breaks easily. But with Deborah she is able to make me very blond & my hair stronger. Hands down best place to go for color & haircare. Pretty great stuff to buy in the shop too. :)
Wing Studios - Chico Hair Salon - Chico Sarah Jean Kiefer: After years of horror stories with other stylists, I was nervous about finding someone I could trust with my long hair. Hannah has truly been a breath of fresh air. From the 1st appointment, she’s been incredibly precise, friendly, and understanding of what I want. Every visit is a relaxing experience, and she’s so consistent with delivering exactly what I’m hoping for, if not better. I’ve been going to her for years now, and she’s the only stylist I’ve ever trusted enough to do whatever she wants with my hair because I know I’m in the best hands!
Hair Sudio_1405 - Chico Star Smith: Very disappointed. This was my first time booking an appointment here. My normal salon was full. Services here were a little more expensive, but I have an important event coming up so I took a chance. Appointment was at 4:45 pm. I showed up to the salon and my stylist was not there. I then received a text stating she was running late and if we can reschedule to 5:30pm. I wasn’t happy as I drove down from Paradise and didn’t have anywhere to go, but I agreed and did some light shopping to kill some time. I arrived back at the salon at 5:38pm to find my stylist was still not there. I texted her and let her know I was there and got no response. I waited until 5:50 pm!! I finally texted and told her I could no longer wait as I had a babysitter and had to get home. As I was leaving the stylist finally responded asking me to wait 5 more minutes. And stating she would do my hair really fast….. no ma’am, I don’t want someone rushing through my cut. This service was $150..I get better treatment at Great Clips. So unprofessional. Don’t waste your time at this salon. They clearly don’t hold their stylists to any kind of standard.
HAIR.HAUS - Chico Regan Seeman: I love this salon and its stylists. It is always very well kept, cleanly, and new ownership caused for an updated design. I have seen 2 different stylists in this salon over the past 6 years and loved both of them! My hair always turns out exactly as I wanted it.
Poppy & Pine Hair Co. - Chico Liz Purull: Julia did an amazing job during my appointment! Even with all my ambiguity around what I exactly wanted to do with my hair, she was able to apply her knowledge, skills and creativity to produce amazing results for me. Julia brought back so much texture, volume and life to my incredibly dry and damaged hair. Personable, professional and just all around kind and caring, I’d highly recommend Julia for your next appointment!
Society Style Lounge - Chico jingyu wang: I got my haircut from Bill, he did amazing job, and he made my hair style based on my face shape, I look younger 10 years after he cut my hair. Thank you!
