Juanita Jimenez This place was recommended by my sister. I’ve never had a manicure before I wish I had taken a picture of my nails before I had them done. After He was done I was blown away by his work. I was delighted with his work. I’ve been going to Starlight nails for over 5 months faithfully I wouldn’t go anywhere else I brag and recommend their place to my friends and family. Thank you

Nayeli Luna I went to get my nails done and a pedicure and they did a horrible job the lady there gave me an attitude when I asked for a certain look, The guy did my nails way too wide and left little peices of trash on my nails. I asked how much it was gonna be since the beginning and told me a price and when I was about to pay they raised it $10 and insisted that was the price they gave me witch is not true. I will never go back and i dont recommend it.

Vero Salas I am so happy and in love with my nails. They had to remove my acrylic nails to apply hyper gel. It took almost 1hr. And staff was so nice and patient. I felt so bad she had to stay and hour after closing to finish my nails and toes. So friendly and super patient. I found my forever nail tech.

Lauren Silveira The woman that did my pedicure was very professional and efficient. She was sweet and attentive, and very meticulous with her work. I was in heaven with the spa pedicure, and I’m so relaxed, now. My feet are so soft and smooth, and the nails came out so beautiful! Thank you!

Nicole Rossetti I come often for pedicures and they are fine, hence the three stars but came today to have gel removed and reapplied (from another nail salon). I’m so bummed. I came here out of convenience and I knew as soon as I sat down it wouldn’t be good. They switched ladies on me after talking to each other for a while. It was empty but I heard gel a few times so not sure if that was the problem? I asked her immediately to please be kind with the filing/buffing as I have thin nails. They were growing out great and quite strong for once. I also asked for almond shaped and she said, you want them pointed? I showed a pic and she didn’t even look. Then came the buffing/filing as if I never asked, twice. I knew there was no going back. When I got up to wash my hands, I tested them out and sure enough, as flimsy as paper. I was hoping the gel would revive them but no luck. They look fine but I have to start over again. I won’t be going back for gels.

LEEgendary Productions They did a great job and I called ahead for a same day appointment after work and they fit me in with no wait when I arrived. Also very affordable having a basic manicure under $25!

Kathy G DONT COME HERE!! They are cheap especially Tony. I asked for a soak off thinking the acrylics would be soaked off (as one should). He ripped the acrylics off using a card. IT HURT. He ripped my natural nails under making it brittle and soft. I dont wish this upon anybody, if they try doing this to you. Yank your nails back. Licensed nail techs should NOT be doing that!!! It may be cheaper but its not worth ruining your nails for that kind of service. This was the worst service Ive ever gotten, and will NOT be coming back.

armc armc A very good quality work for reasonable price. Owner and employees are very friendly. Recommend to visit.

Maida Celedón I went for acrylic nails, they said they do that. I doubt the powder was acrylic… but anyways. Then they said it was extra to do gel polish. First of all, I’ve never been to a salon that offers regular polish on acrylic nails! So the polish will chip in a few days and you’ll have the acrylic exposed? Doesn’t make sense. Second of all, polish on powder should never be gel but shellac. Either way, I paid extra and now a week later both my polish and whatever powder that was, are chipped. In all my years getting my nails done, have I experienced any of this, no matter how cheap the place was (and this wasn’t mega cheap either).

Tara MarieeeX My usual nail place is booked past Christmas so I decided to try here. Yeah I won’t be back :/ my nails are rough and pointy on the edges still , the nail isn’t even colored all the way on some of them. You can definitely tell it was rushed… even my family said “that was quick” when I told them I was done…. Lesson learned book your appts ahead of time. Also when I washed my hands in the very back there was a roach. No thanks!

Dino I got my nails done here today, and I got to say, the guy who worked on my nails was great! He wasnt speeding and didnt cut my cuticles (by cut I mean, like they made me bleed) like I have had in other places. The prices are great as well. Irene *Bad Customer Service * New to the city trying to find a new nail tech.. found good reviews about tom so I called to make appointment the lady on the phone was annoyed I asked for him! When tom got to the phone I asked if he was available that day and if not when was his next availability, he immediately said “ no Im busy all week” with a nasty tone! I understand if he is busy but he could have helped me find another day but with his tone and the response I got I will take my business elsewhere!

Taylor Allen Not sanitary. They do not use single use items. Even after I asked. Cart had no barrier or been cleaned. He used a dirty file, buffer and used metal implements… plus a cheese grater. I have very healthy nails and know I didn’t need to have an electric grinder on the bed of my nails. I’m happy to pay for quality and safe services, it was very uncomfortable because I had already asked before I sat down. Please raise your standards on the care you offer your guests, to prevent infection. You guys do great work! Everyone’s nails looked beautiful.

Fatima Magana I recently got my toes done and it was a great experience! The technician did an excellent job, and the price was very reasonable. However, Ive noticed that the service can vary depending on who you get. Her name began with k-a I dont recall it but she was pregnant. Overall, I loved the result I got ☺️ ( 44$ plus tip )

Johanna Orozco My in law recommended this place and I am so sad that I won’t be coming back. I had high hopes. I did a walk in with Daniel and asked him for an acrylic almond set. He refused to thin down the acrylic from the sidewalls making my fingers look extra chubby. Every time I asked him to file more he would grab my hand angry and push it off when he was done. I paid for the service and he was trying to keep $10 extra when I mentioned it he got upset. I was visibly upset and I went to talk to my sister in law who was getting her nails done there, her nail tech asked me what was wrong and I processed to tell her what happened I showed her my nails and she said that he would fix it but I refused to be serviced my him again. The nail tech at the front desk spoke to me and fixed my nails but they tried to tell me it looked like that because my finger was chubby… I have gotten this shape and length countless times elsewhere my fingers were never the problem. The entire service felt rushed and it was stressful to be there, had to get home and file down the sides myself. First picture is my thumb before and after it got fixed. The big issue was that he trimmed down the nail shorter than the rest of the set, so shorter almond nails will look more chubby. I let him know and he said he would fix it later.

Carolina Southy Worst nail salon ever! The guy that PRETENDED to know how to do nails hurt my finger as he was removing my previous gel. He had not clue how to file, shape DO NAILS. I do my nails every two weeks (different place obviously), so I basically have ZERO CUTICLES to work on. Then WITHOUT BUFFING THE NAIL he proceeded to apply the gel. It looked HORRIBLE.. it was bumpy... so I asked him to stop and leave it like that. Just with the clear base. I went to pay for WHATEVER THEY DID...They said it was THIRTY DOLLARS. 30???????????? for removing my gel and get a FAKE NAIL TECH that has not clue how to even do a BASIC NAIL FILING!

Katie Taco This is how small business is done right! Clean, comfortable, professional, affordable fair pricing. This is the place. I would recommend an appointment, weekdays easier than weekends, this is no "rush job" nail salon. You will be treated like family. And good family doesnt just drop in, you know ;) Visiting from FL, I was breaking my gel nails left and right, so I called same day (Thursday) and got a 3:30pm appointment. I was greeted with a smile and prompt service. Love how John was able to fixy brokens and make my hands Happy again! Hope to come back before I leave. Will definitely be back when Im in Oxnard!

like2read247 Terrible. Called before hand and asked if me and my partner could come now, got there in 10 minutes and we still had to wait about 20 minutes before we got help. We both had different techs and we both got nicked when cutting our nails. Decided not to even get a color done because I was so annoyed.

Jennifer Martinez Have been going to Marry for the past year and I’ve never had a bad experience with her until now. I went in for an acrylic overlay on a Sunday and by Wednesday they were already falling off. I didn’t want them fixed because I was afraid the same thing would happen and when I asked for my money back she tried to blame me for her work. She refused my refund and continued to blame me. Very unprofessional work and was left unsatisfied with only 3 nails on in less than 1 week.

Veronica Villegas I have to admit, there is only one lady who does great nails in there. Everyone else is kinda clueless. However, I keep going back bc ONE of the older ladies is very gentle with my feet and toenails. Ive always had a hard time with ingrown nails and she makes it very painless. The overall result of my nails arent great but I do really appreciate that she takes the time to cut my nails properly. Thank you!

Carolina Rodriguez I just asked for price for polish only. No acrylics, no gel. I just want straight polish on my natural nails. This girl told me it was 20 dollars, then changed and said it was 25 dollars, just for polish. That is SO overpriced. I do not recommend going here.

Carmelita Perez I love the way they do my nails! Thank you Kathy.

Erica Trevino I’m going to give this a two star rating because the lady I talked over the phone with yesterday on March 5th told me that the regular pedicure is $30. I scheduled an appointment for March 6 at 11:30 AM. The lady that did my pedicure did an okay job, however, she charged me $45. I told her that the total is $30 and I asked her why is it $45. Due to language barrier, she wrote $45 on a napkin. I asked her why is the total $45 and she pointed to my finger nails. She asked her coworker for help. According to her coworker, the reason it was $15 more was because she had to remove the gel polish I had on prior to my appointment, which was bullshit. I was going to argue more and just give them the $30 in cash because that’s what I was told for a simple solid color; nonetheless, I gave them the $45 out of “kindness”. My advice to the nail techs that scam people by saying one thing and say something different to their clients will reap what they sow. I’m pretty sure they don’t want themselves to get scammed either. Nothing good comes down to scamming clients. The main reason why I went to this place was because I was referred by my friend that goes there to get her nails done by Cathy. Another reason is because the nail salon I went before doesn’t have a variety of nail polish. The nail tech that did my pedicure left nail polish on my skin and I do see air bubbles on my big toes. I have seen better days. I don’t think I’m gonna go there to get my nails done because I’m afraid of being “scammed”.

Tania T I went yesterday and I sat waiting for maybe 25 minutes no one greeted me or anything they didnt bother looking at me so then katy finally comes to me and starting doing my nails and she seemed in such a rush and was doing them so fast and left my index finger so crooked and I told her about it and she said "oh Ill fix it" she never did .... one of my thumb nail is longer than the other ... the polish looks so clumpy. Theyre nail polish variations are trash theyre so disgusting like if they had them there for years . Last time Ill ever go there . Its a no for me . Waste of money

Martha Tully My stylist Wendy, Silver Strand Salon, recommended Danny, after I complemented her beautiful nails. He has been doing my shells for several months now and I am so happy with the results. Im not a nail person, but I wanted a finished , professional look. One of the things I want are thin not thick nails. He is the only one I have found that can do that. Also its a pleasure to have a conversation with such a interesting man. Nice shop and good prices.

Cynde Ive been going to this place since it opened. Each time they act like they have never seen me before. Except for Henry he remembers me sometimes. This last visit I got a fill and pedi (also for my daughter) I had a gift certificate that I used along with cash. Well they act like your wasting their time if you use a gift certificate. They rushed us out so fast they didnt even give me 1 min of dry time on my toes. I paid extra for deluxe pedi and ended up with a messed up big toe. I was suppose to wear open toed shoes for my daughters wedding. Not happening now.

Julie Ayala I called ahead to ask for the wait time. It was slow so they gave me the option to walk in. (Know your risk with walk-ins, its a consideration) needed a fill for a set that I did not get done at this establishment and Henry did his thing. Amazing conversation, skills are on point and he had me in and out. Will be coming back again. **ask for Henry**

Ayee Momo I am not the one to typically cause a scene or ask for refunds but today Victoria Nails disappointed me to such a huge extent! They are well aware that I have been a returning client for a little over a year if not longer and they always know that I like doing designs on my nails. This week is my birthday weekend so of course I went in to get a fill and a basic pedicure. I had a full acrylic set from a previous location which was an almond shape. When the tech started on my nails I noticed he did not use they typical acrylic powder that they use he used the gel X glue that they use for gel X nails. At first I was a little taken back because from my knowledge that glue or base is for gel x nails not acrylic. I didn’t say much because I’m trusting their process. The tech was nice and “shaped” my nails ( all he did was make them more pointy) while also throwing shade at the other salon that they do not know how to shape nails. I didn’t see anything wrong with them but I digress. Ann who I know very well she typically does my nails for the design she’s never let me down. I showed her the design I said it’s nothing crazy. It was a cheetah print on two nails the rest a base normal gel color again something that doesn’t seem too outrageous. She said she could do it. I was excited. The whole process was fine up until she needed to step away to fix their phone lines and their wifi. I didn’t mind waiting. She painted two nails then directed me to another nail tech and completely abandoned me for someone else. I was a little confused because I thought Ann was going to work on them but proceeded to assist other clients and the new tech who stepped in wasn’t able to do the design it looked like she just smeared some nail polish on the nails and called it a day. The funny thing is the original male tech who shaped my nails came back and checked on me to see the progress saw it then asked if I was okay with that design eluding to the fact that It looked nothing like cheetah print. He said your okay and walked off. The tech that did the design put two extra layers of top coat after the fact that they had put in two layers before that. Ann came back and slapped on three more top coats on it and cured them and then said she didn’t like how it was curing. Well my question is why would you continue to add more top coat on my nails like that was going to fix the issue by now it’s been almost two hours for a fill and design that should have taken an hour max. She then asked me if I could stay longer to fix it because she didn’t like it but by that point I was already a little irritated that I was assisted by half the staff, a poorly done design, and some caked on polish. I told her no I have to leave because I needed to go on about my errands for my job and then said she would provide me with a 15% discount I was okay with that even though it’s not something I wanted. I go to pay and she calculated the math my original price was going to be $117 for a BASIC pedicure (no extra gel or anything special) and a fill. I’m sorry but since when is a fill $87!!!???? I know inflation is high but damn. If that was the case I could have done a better job at home with an amazon nail kit for HALF that price. Ann did the math and with the discount it still came up to $93 dollars. She said $17 was removed because of the discount which btw that math is wrong 15% off of $117 should have taken off $24 not $17 but by now I was more confused about the fact that she

Elizabeth Gallegos I’ve been paying for pedicures on a regular basis for the last 15 years and today I received the rudest service ever. It was evident from the moment I walked in that the male nail tech was in a bad mood. He even seemed upset that I walked in. He did not greet me at all. He was talking to me like he was barking orders to a dog. He treated my feet so roughly. And then he proceeds to leave me sitting in the chair to dry without saying a word for the longest time. I had to ask if it was ok to go. He said “you can go” “if you want to.” I will never come back to this establishment again. I work hard for my money like everyone else and I will not support a business that does not appreciate their customers.

Senta Serrano Ive gotten my nails done here a few times, and they usually do an alright job, Paul seems to actually care about the work he does, but Im mot too sure about the others. When I went in today I was with another person, and someone else came in after us. They tried to help the lady that came after us, but I was able to have them help my friend first, then I was completely ignored. They ended up helping 2 other people (and me waiting an hour for my friend) before asking if I wanted my nails done. I simply said no, obviously my money is no good at this place, and I have no interest in giving my money to a place that ignores me. When we got home my friend looked down at her freshly painted nails and saw a huge smudge down the middle of her nail. When the lady was putting her sandle on she was careless and messed up the polish on her toes. Dont think we will be back.

Cynthia Baum I went in to get dip, and they immediately put my fingers in acetone for the removal of my old dip. The lady leaves me there for 10+ minutes while she snacks in the back. It started to burn my skin, so I began scrubbing off my old dip myself to finish the task she left undone. She then comes back and when I say what I did because it was irritating my skin, the manager walks by and says “it’s only acetone,” as if I’m overreacting to having my skin burn from overexposure. She then starts working on my nails and seems annoyed. She never asked what shape I wanted, so I volunteered the info. When it’s time to pay they inform me it’s going to be an extra $5 for the removal of the old dip (um, I removed it myself!) The next day it is chipping off, so I return to have 4/10 of my nails fixed. When I enter, I am greeted with frowns and disapproving grunts. The manager looks extremely annoyed and even angry, and the lady does her best to fix her work, but she is cold and unfriendly the whole time. She never apologized nor made any other friendly gestures. They obviously don’t want my business.

Miki Martinez I tried this shop out at a recommendation from someone. My first time Brian helped me last minute and did an amazing job. He cleaned up a mess that my previous tech made, and left my nails beautiful. My second time I made an appointment and brought my mom. Brian worked on my mom who is 82 years old, and she loved his conversation and work. I saw his wife, sorry I didnt get her name. I showed her a Halloween design and she recreated it with no problem. One other great thing I noticed Brian calls every customer by name every time. Great place. I highly recommend.

Valeria Zavala Literally the worst experience ever do not go here! I am seated and the guy comes to do my soak off and manicure. First, hes not wearing gloves. Second he cuts them down and then talks another nail to go and just rip them off even though I asked for a soak off. So I said you cant do a soak off instead? If he was just gonna rip them off I couldve done that at home but I wanted to not damage the nail so much. He literally goes mute. He had completely stopped talking to me and just starts pointing at what to do even though he was pretty talkative before. On top of that after soaking for about 15 minutes he ended up using his OWN NAIL to lift off the rest and looks at me and says doesnt hurt right? To me it wasnt about the pain but rather the damage it was doing to my nail and he still went ahead and did it anyway!!! I told him I told want a manicure anymore theres no way I was gonna stay in there longer than I needed to me. The vibes are horrible no one really greets you and says hi when you start your service. Do not recommend.

Denyse Prizzi I went here today and asked how much for a manicure & pedicure, the lady told me $50. The price list that is posted on the wall, to the left, when u walk in says $40. I told her it says $40 and she told me, no $50 for you. What does that mean? And why is it more for me? Hmmm .

Kathryn Clark I think I found my new nail place. They were super. Did a great job on my pedi and fill. Very friendly service and prices were great. I did a walk in but it is a small place so Ill be making an appointment next time.

Johnnie White I went in there because they had pretty good reviews, everything was great, the ladies were very nice, but their work was decent. A couple of my nails they trimmed were uneven, when they painted my nails, it was messy, she got nail polish on my hands, and the top clear coat was caked around my finger tips. When one of the ladies (I didn’t get her name) did my eyebrows, she scratched me somehow! I didn’t notice until I got home and looked above my eyelid and saw a red scratch. Their shop wasn’t very clean either, I don’t think I’ll be coming back to this place

Midori Izumi Ive been going to Jenny and David for a very long time. Jenny always does my nails exactly how I want them. Shes very talented and good at her art work. I just show her a picture of what I want and shes makes it her own. Always comes out better than expected. Love how she does my pedicure. I always get ingrowns and shes the only one whos taken them out everytime. No other nail place does what she does. I can go on and on about how food she is. Prices are good too. Come ask for Jenny or David!!!

JaNelle M I learned about this shop from a friend of mine and im SO happy she told me about Jennifer!! She has done my nails since September and did my wedding nails az well! Shes a blessing! I have NEVER been able to keep my acrylics looking good for more than 2 weeks. They have usually chipped and/or started deteriorating, but since Jenn has started doing my nails, I seriously get them done ONCE A MONTH now. They look fantastic from the time I walk out to the time I go back in. Im truly amazed. They also have plexiglass up AND the machines that sanitize their equipment unlike most of the local shops. The color selection is HUGE and Jenn is also incredibly talented when it comes to nail art!!! Just see the photo below!!

yajaira jimenez The service was absolutely horrible. David was so rough and very inattentive when doing my nails. He left 4 nails broken! When I kept telling him politely to fix it, he would file my nail! Theres a picture of how far he filed! The worst of it was his make believe numbers. My husband got a pedicure for $35 and a manicure. He said $55 for him. I got a full set nails $45 and a pedicure for $25. He charged me $155!! I kept telling him where was he getting the $155 from and he said my total was $110. Never bothered to clean my nails before putting the last coat. He definitely took advantage.

socorro mendoza I normally walk in and pick my nail color. This time as I was going to pick out my color the owner David insisted I pick my color from a tablet with different colored finger nails on it and the corresponding color number. I have never picked out a color from this tablet. I asked for a pedicure and the decided to get a manicure. So I picked out my color not realizing ( and the owner did not tell me ) the colors picked out from the tablet are gel colors and it would cost more. So I spoke to his wife that I was not informed gel would cost more by her husband. She spoke to him in their language and she just told me that I had used a gel color and that cost more. I was very disappointed in how I was duped in spending more money.I also witnessed two other women walk in and they went to pick out the nail color not from the gel walk and the owner said no sit down and pick from here ( the tablet) the women didnt do as he asked and went to pick out their nail color that was cheaper than the gel and just as good. Beware clients on how he (David) tries to get you to spend more. Thank God I had brought more money to pay for the extra unknown charge. Its wrong that I was not given a lesser charge after my complaint. So I will no Longer come here. For future clients please ask for the charges before getting any work done.

Samantha Perez Tell me what do you see wrong before I tell you. ... ok 1st of I got my nails done on December 2nd at 9am. It looks like Ive had them for 5 days already. She did NOT fill in the nail color all the way to the skin. 2nd of all. She did NOT TAKE OFF THE DEAD SKIN! She just put some clear liquid to cover up the dry DEAD SKIN! 3rd of all.... Does this look like COFFIN shape to you? Very poor shaping n sanding. She didnt even place the nail color all the way on the side of the nails. So it looks like a "first time beginner did this" shes lucky I was in a rush for a wedding or else I would of made her do them all over. I would of waited for Kim if I knew who she was. But comes to find out she the moody mean mugging lady who doesnt make you feel welcomed. Very serious! First time & never going back. Sticking to my nail shop!

karol287 This used to be my go to nail shop Kim the owner is always great. Due to work and new schedule I had to go to a different place, A place that is very busy and most the time overcrowded. My nails however from this new place are always fantastic!!! Yesterday I decided to go back to natural nails because it’s very close to my home and always quiet. After about three years of going there I will never step foot in that place again. the lady who did my nails often does my pedicures when I go in however this time she was extremely rough yanking my nails off almost ripping my natural nail she complained the entire time doing my nails on why I wanted them so long. my nails are completely deformed as far as shape goes. Each nail looks completely different in shape and they’re supposed to be coffin shape I was charged $51 for a fill and the repair of two nails. Completely unprofessional. She had an attitude the entire time doing my nails. Rainbow nails is now my only go to!!

Lex A First time trying them out and i’m really disappointed.I definitely DID NOT get my money’s worth.I got coffin (gel) acrylics. The shaping is so off ,they don’t even cut you’re cuticles (u have to get a manicure which means you have to pay extra) and they’re all different lengths.I could really tell the lady that did my nails wasn’t too experienced because of the ways she tried to file my nails. She cut my natural nails without even asking me(i usually don’t like getting my nails cut when i get acrylics). And the placement of the nails are off.Not to mention it doesn’t cover my whole nail. She also had an attitude which i just brushed off but its still unpleasant.Definitely not worth $70

melinda Zuniga Don’t come here. My nails broke off the third day I got them done. Nail shape was horrible! They charged me so much for the most simple nails. They didn’t have much options on the nail polishes. Other than that, they were nice but they need a LOT more work on there nail skills.

Jasmine Estrada I went for a pedicure. While getting my pedi a lady came up to me to start a manicure while I was finishing up with my pedi and I thought well I do kinda want my acrylics cleaned up or what not but I usually never just get a manicure I get gel x. So I gave it a try but for $44 for my nails to look like this… I’m like never again!

Victorious S So I’d like to say for my experience. This was my first time there. I showed them what I was looking for as far as what I was looking for in nails. I gotta tell you Jenny did an awesome job. I read the negative reviews but in all honesty, I say you need to experience it yourself before going by what someone says. Jenny did a remarkable job.

Andrew Flores I have been coming here for more than 5 years and highly recommend them. Ive only had waxing services done here primarily eyebrows and they never leave me disappointed. The manager Candy older lady is spot on with her eyebrow waxing technique. Yes can they be more social and friendly of COURSE BUT I COME HERE FOR WAXING NOT TO MAKE FRIENDS. 10/10
