1 /5 Katie Girl: I took my sons to Victor Valley Hospital for tonsil removal surgery about a year ago, and unfortunately, our experience raised several concerns that I feel compelled to share. Both of my boys had breathing difficulties post-surgery, which was alarming. My younger son struggled significantly to wake up and even developed Erythema multiforme. When staff inquired about asthma, I assured them he does not have it. They both appeared unusually pale during our time there, which added to my worry.
Interestingly, a friend of mine underwent knee surgery at the same hospital and also experienced breathing problems and fluid in her lungs. She mentioned that she heard other patients voicing similar issues, which is quite disturbing. When I described the female anesthesiologist to her, she confirmed it was the same person, which only heightened my concerns.
I reached out to the hospital (Patient Relations Department aka the complaint line)months ago and just left another message to discuss these issues and left a message about my concerns, but I have yet to receive any follow-up. This lack of communication is disappointing and adds to my worries about the quality of care at Victor Valley Hospital.
Overall, I sincerely hope the hospital addresses these alarming patterns to ensure the safety and well-being of their patients. My experience leaves me with serious concerns about the anesthetic practices and patient monitoring during surgeries. I feel it’s crucial for prospective patients to be aware of these issues.
