Your staff is amazing, the facility is clean, and the Veterinarian actually sat on the floor with us for comfort as we sent our big boy to meet his sibling at the rainbow bridge. She was so kind and made the unbearable loss a little lighter. When we were ready to leave, being able to exit out the side door into the parking lot, as opposed to walking through the lobby in tears, was a huge plus.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was exceptionally caring and attentive. They were knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of our questions. The discharge instructions were incredibly detailed and made us feel fully prepared to care for Lily at home. We felt completely comfortable leaving her in their hands, and we are so grateful for their excellent service!"

5 /5 Sandra Meadows: I took my English bulldog, Mimi to the internal medicine doctor at Veterinary Specialty Hospital in Roseville, Dr. Harmeet Aulakh, in October 2024. Mimi had been suffering from diarrhea for over a week and was diagnosed with Protein-Losing Enteropathy by her primary vet. Mimis albumin, among other protiens, were extremely low and had been leaking into her abdominal cavity. This was an emergency. Dr. Aulakhs staff was able to get us in right away. I had called every Internal Medicine Specialist in the Sacramento and Yolo County area with no luck. Dr. Aulakh and staff were not only accommodating to this emergency, but so helpful. Mimi has had an ultrasound, food change, medications, and blood tests done weekly at first and then biweekly monitoring done with Dr. Aulakh. We continue to monitor monthly, and hopefully soon, every 3 months as Mimi continues to improve or stay stable. The cost is, as with any specialty, understably higher. Theres always more expense with a specialty, as there should be. After all,  it cost more to have the schooling for the professionals working in a specialty. Dr. Aulakh and her staff, particularly her technician Lindsy, deal with my ptsd in other health areas that reflect onto my dogs. I worry, psychologically, from my extensive medical past. That reflects onto what I love the most, my dogs and my children. They not only understand this is a stress beyond my control, but they try to help ease it by doing the instant albumin tests. And they hug me when im crying or having bad news. That means so much. More then anyone can realize when dealing with your own health or the health of a loved one. The compassion isnt always there in hospitals or veterinary clinics. And for me, being hospitalized so much, losing my mom, and now Mimi being sick, its so important to have the compassion that this entire office gives. That, in itself, is worth its weight in gold to me. So I honestly, wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Harmeet Aulakh and the entire staff at Veterinary Specialty Hospital in Roseville.

5 /5 Sara Hackett: This is my go to Emergency Vet hospital. I’ve been here twice and both times were the best experiences I’ve ever had at an emergency vet clinic. The front office staff are professional, welcoming and caring. I believe that front office staff make the biggest lasting impression on any establishment. The doctor was great and gave straight forward options which best suited the need for my pet. I always appreciate when doctors give options and don’t press or suggest unnecessary testing and treatments. The clinic is lovely and clean. Highly recommend.

5 /5 Donna Guardino: It was a great experience! Besides the fact that our dog was very sick…ending up there at 4:30 in the morning…hearing a friend sing their praises just days prior. It was a clean, welcoming environment where the staff was friendly, compassionate and kind. Our doctor was very informative! She talked us through each step of the process, giving us liberty to choose the steps we felt comfortable with, while helping us understand which things were most important not to miss. We were asked to pay for all possible treatments needed up front, but were informed that if there were any treatments not needed after all (once our dog was admitted) we would receive a refund. We were able to visit our dog in evening and bring some food items he likes to encourage eating. Our dog was well cared for and recovered well! In the end they did give us a refund for the treatments that were not required after all. This increased our trust of their honesty, and desire not to do more than was completely necessary. We are so thankful to have found them!
