5 /5 Becky DeSmet: Betty created my short haircut exactly like the picture I brought with me. Im extremely pleased. We also did purple lowlights for the first time. And Im having so much fun with the new color. I met the owner Nora and her husband Henry about a year ago when I was just window-shopping down main Street. They made such an impression on me, I promised myself I would go back when I was in need of a hairstylist. Thank you thank you thank you for helping me look good for my new job! I was so pleased that I made my next appointment for 6 weeks before I left the shop! I love the atmosphere, the music, all the interesting things on the walls. I havent met the gal that does facials, but Im sure that shes just as fabulous as Nora and Betty.

5 /5 Dionne Ybarra: I walked by intrigued by the beautiful doorway. I was also in dire need of a haircut. They were able to get me in within an hour. When she asked what I needed I explained I just needed a trim but she could see my grey roots were growing out. I told her I needed to go to an event and she suggested I not only get my roots done but that I get some highlights . I said sure!! Over the next several hours I was taken care of , they even ordered me a burrito when they ordered their lunch . Because I didn’t have a real appt. they made time for me inbetween their appts. I watched as every women of all different ages was transformed . I couldn’t wait to see how my hair was going to turn out. When it came time for the cut I told her to do what she wanted. While taking off a bit of length. I showed up with my hair looking dry and my curls having no life. The color turned out beautiful and perfect , better than I could have imagined . This cut she left me with is exactly what she said, I can blow dry it and the layers look soft and lush and when I leave the curls to dry naturally the layers allow the curls to look full and bouncy. It is the best cut and color and salon experience I’ve ever had . I live on the Monterey Peninsula but will definitely make the short drive to come back . I usually dread going to a salon but I can’t wait to go back. It’s a beautiful space and the women there are talented and lovely humans. I never write reviews but I have to for this salon. I also bought the brush blow dryer she used on my hair and I love it! Worth the purchase. The price for my cut and color was the same for what I’ve paid on the peninsula but with a quality that doesn’t even come close. I highly recommend this salon . Es mejor!!

1 /5 Alma Garibay: I called to see if they could take me in for a haircut, and they said "yes." They arrived within 5 minutes. I waited over 30 minutes, and they did not help me. I left.

1 /5 Red Raven: I would NEVER go back. My hair is butchered, not the style I asked for or showed pictures of. My bangs look like a child cut them uneven and not blended in. The stylist was angry of my declining a service, micromanaged the other stylists, and was so aggressive while cutting. I get my hair cut often and dont have a sensitive scalp but her constant pulling, scratching, and burning (from getting too close with the blow dryer) left me flinching everytime she came close to me. The whole environment was so awkward. I dont know if she was just having a rough day or what, but she was literally scratching my face with her nails and the comb without any regard that there was a person attached to the hair she was doing. When it didnt come out the way I hoped and was nervously examining the picture to try to figure out how to tell her she insisted that I was styling it wrong by parting it even though thats how the picture parted it. I showed there the whole set again and she said shed only seen the one picture even though the four pictures were attached. She took a call during my hair cut, which is no worries there is always a stylist designated to answering the phone , however she took the call and continued to cut while on the phone with it squeezed between her neck and head.(this means she couldnt have been looking at my hair on the right angle). When all was said and done I politely left, thanked her for the hair cut, andcame home to inspect the damage. The bangs are ruined, its longer on one side by at least an inch, and my neck burns when I shower from her scraping it raw. Ive had a lot of bad hair cuts in my day, but its usually due to inexperience and I have no problem leaving it be because the stylist is usually very kind. This is not the case. I had an experienced stylist, with a bad attitude, for reasons I cant fathom. I will not be going back or recommending this salon to anyone ever. As if the pulling , scratching, and poking werent enough, I have to pay to get it fixed by someone else now because its a train wreck of a cut. I always try to find something about a place to speak positive of but really the only thing I can say is the other stylists seem kind when working on their folks hair.
