Ram Dongre: Went here on a free museum day. A well kept part of California history. Great that the mansion was used as a girls orphanage for nearly 85 years. It was built by one of the richest person in America in those days and also a governor. It has clean restrooms, paid street side parking and can buy tickets onsite too. One thing I observed that the mansion in terms of elegance and luxury was not as good as others I saw in Oregon and Vancouer; bit surprising to me. No photography is allowed inside.

Ekaterina Machneva: Tree-filled city park with a golf course, ponds full of geese, and barbecue areas with tables. I enjoyed walking in the shade along 13th Avenue, which has nice architecture homes. Nearby attractions: Zoo, Fairytale Town.

Kurtis Ostrom: Today was our first visit to MOSAC. My 4 yo loved it. So many exhibits and activities. We saw the solar system show in the Multiverse Theater. We were there for almost three hours and saw about 50% of the place so we definitely need to go again. Be aware that you need to pay to park in their lot!

    J. Shaw Renner: I love history and this is part of ours in the USA. We were visiting family in Sacramento and took a stroll through Old Town. This is where the Pony Express ended and it started in St. Joseph (Joe) Missouri. It only lasted 18 months (April 3 1860-October 26 1861) due to the Trans-Atlantic Telegraph being completed. But in it’s heyday it they could travel on horseback 1800 miles in 10 days. Quite a feat in those days.

Jacqueline Gandy: My family and I had a wonderful experience here! The staff was so knowledgeable and helpful in showing our kids some things. The museum is small, but has a lot of information to read about. They plan to add more hands on experiences for kids in the near future. We had been learning about Indigenous populations prior to coming and it really helped to make some connections during our visit. I recommend PBS American Experience videos as well as Honest History journals for kids. These resources are helpful for different levels of understanding of our Native populations as well as the historical effects on their way of life.
