5 /5 C: A very large park with so much to do. Rock gardens are awesome, greenery is awesome there. Sad to see how many trees have gotten damaged in storms weve had lately but VERY impressed with how quickly maintenance staff had been on top of the clean up. They take really good care of this wonderful landmark of Sacramento.
Restrooms are kept above average as far as cleanliness but one gripe I have is that there are no doors on the stalls in the mens room. When using a stall in a mens room it definitely warrants the comfort of having a door for everyones benefit, in my opinion.
The Land Park Golf course and the Zoo are also in the park. Specifically for the little ones, there is also Fairytale Town here and duck ponds and plenty of green spaces to run around!
There is definitely something to do for people of any age and very pet friendly as well!
There is definitely a large amount of cruising that happens here in the evening by people contained to their cars for the most part and centered around the WPA rock garden. It can get fairly busy after nightfall, especially on Friday and Saturday nights.
Being one of the oldest, most popular and largest parks in the city, it is easy to see why this park is a definite landmark for the city of Sacramento!
