1 /5 J Presentacion Sanchez: Title: Price Jump, Hidden Fees & Told Not to Return — Disappointing Experience
Review:
I called Sunnyside Auto Repair and they provided a brake replacement quote of $400–650. Based on that estimate, I scheduled an appointment over the phone and dropped off my 2017 Nissan Sentra the next morning.
After waiting several hours, the quote jumped to $1,200, with no clear explanation. When I declined the work, I was suddenly told there was a $65 inspection fee — something that was never disclosed to me or put in writing. Only after pushing back did they waive the charge — and then told me not to come back.
This was an extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience. I ended up going to the Nissan dealership, where I got OEM brake service for less money and zero drama.
If you choose this shop, get all pricing in writing before agreeing to anything. I personally won’t be returning.
