1 /5 Richard Edwards: I took my car there for regular maintenance. Timing belt and water pump. I get it back and its smoking like crazy and shaking real bad! I brought it back and they said it has nothing to do with their repairs! The little fat guy lying and said I told him I was putting coolant in it every day!!! When I said I added coolant a week ago it was low. I dont Recommend them their not honest!

Have my own code reader and fix on my own, but still not getting the problem slove. Came here and they diagnose and fixed it right away. The parts and labor price was the best part, save me a lot more than other shops.

I have 4 cars and have had the following repairs done: gas pump install, head gasket replacement, suspension parts replaced on a 4x4 and a Cadillac, dash control pannels replaced, transmissions flushed, driveline work on a 4x4, cooling system repairs including radiators, thermostats, and hoses, brakes jobs, harmonic balancer replacement, starter install, interior pannel replacement, shocks, window motor, diffirential fluid changes, wheel bearings, and more Ive thrown some confounding problems at this shop such as electrical issues where other mechanics will give up, Jim at Van Ness gets to the bottom of whats going on. He takes the time to explain whats wrong and will show you the issue. His prices are very fair and Ive never had to take a repair back to be redone. I cant say enough good about this shop. Had another shop pay him to fix their mistakes..... thats how i found Van Ness Auto. The mechanics really know what theyre talking about and eventhough they are always busy, theyll make the effort to help every customer. I had 4 vehicles that all had problems..... now I have 4 cars I wouldnt hesitate to drive to New York and back. Also see a lot of people who take their classic cars to this shop. Finding techs who know how to work on classics is getting harder and harder now days. I cant say enough good things about this place. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
