Panache A Mark Lamas Salon - Bakersfield Crystal Ramirez: I had a great experience with this salon especially with my hair stylist Erika. First time walking into this location!!! I called around 10am I had a botched hair cut at another salon and was looking to fix my hair. the receptionist that answered my call was super nice and helpful she scheduled me for 3pm same day consultation only with Erika. I heard wrong I guess out of desperation so I showed up at 2pm and Erika still attended me. Erika seen my hair and seen how messed up my hair was and how sad I was and she right away squeezed me in and fixed my hair. I am grateful for her my hair looks so amazing. I will definitely be going back. I highly recommend this salon especially Erika.
Glitz Salon - Bakersfield Brittany: Sadly, I thought I found a good hairstylist named Holly for my haircuts and later on color for a couple years now. Everything was great until this last appointment a few weeks ago; for my touchup color appointment. I showed Holly the inspiration photo, she said no problem, she put my color on, BUT then took another customer during my bleach processing. (Which is not only against state board regulations but she did not ask if I was okay with her doing so either). She finally rinsed out my hair and said it was very dry. Which was an understatement, was my hair in perfect condition prior, no, but it wasn’t breaking or dry etc; after she finished styling my hair to conceal the damage, I noticed it was completely trashed and fried.
The finished “new” color concluded with my roots a dark & splotchy golden blonde, I had exactly five dark streaks that were uneven and not to the root, and then white not to the root highlights. Which was shocking for the $145+tip I paid, what I asked for, and I’ve never had an experience like this with Holly before. In the sun it looked okay due to the bright sunlight, but inside the salon, my car, and at home it looked awful. My entire household made comments. My husband wanted to get our money back, but I was so mad, upset and tired I just let her keep it. I’ve been very sick the last 6 months and didn’t need any of this. My hair was extremely dry, where I ended up dying it back to black to hide the damage because she ruined my level 8/9 golden blonde shoulder length hair. I had to cut off another inch after her haircut when I got home to avoid excess breakage as well.
I will also add that I am a licensed hairstylist of 18+ years, so yeah, this was bad. I would expect the results I had from a new hairstylist with no coloring experience. Even the girls at salon centric were shocked when they saw my hair compared to what it was a week prior. I’m hella nice, and didn’t disclose the stylist who ruined it at the supply store. Be careful going here since they allow the stylists to double book during chemical processes. Completely unprofessional. Double Thumbs down.
Salon Salon - Bakersfield sylvia: Erika dyed my hair and she did an amazing job!! She was very friendly and knowledgeable. The transformation of my hair is incredible. I absolutely would recommend getting your hair done by Erika.
Via Bella Salon & Spa - Bakersfield Kaitlyn Jensen: I loved my hair dresser! I had Alyssa and she was amazing! She was so friendly and cared for my hair health! She also did a fantastic job and getting the color I want! It was more expensive than I thought it was going to be, but overall a great experience!
Hair Inc - Bakersfield Kacia Keegin: Shelby is absolutely amazing. For the first time ever I have a stylist/colorist who knows what shes doing hands down. I had super long roots and I have very long hair. I was running late and she was very flexible. She was fast, professional and very very nice. I am disabled and then a wheelchair and she was able to accommodate me in a very professional manner. My hair looks so great. Ive gotten a ton of compliments on it. I will never use another colorist/stylist again. She has a client for life.
Concept Elite Salon - Bakersfield Queensizedfun1: Very friendly ladies, clean salon. Efficient timewise. Ashley is the one who did my hair and gave me exactly what I asked for. Decent stock of product for various types of hair. They even carry a line thats marketed toward men. This salon is in the Trader Joes parking lot.
The Look Beauty Lounge - Bakersfield Ariana Leal: This is my honest Review it’s not to bash anybody or the salon . I came here about 3 to 4 weeks ago to get a last-minute install as I happen to be in town and I needed my hair done for a party. I reached out to the salon. They put me in contact with the stylist and I happened to get booked within the two hours. I get there nice location, The salon was beautiful. I’m getting my hair done with Priscilla and we’re having a good time chit chatting getting to know eachother. After two hours and a half I realize that she was taking too long, Usually my installs only take 2hrs30min. She took 5hrs! Left there at 7:30pm! Throughout my appointment, she was telling me how she underquoted me and It was supposed to be more.. but upon booking an appointment, I was very specific in what I wanted which was 300Grams and she agreed with 300$. As she was doing my hair, she was being very messy with the itips extensions , dropping the on the floor , stepping on them , getting it tangled. At the end of the appointment I was picking up my extensions from the floor all tangled and stepped on, which I thought was rude because all that hair was supposed to go on my head and I made specific in what I wanted. I understand that she’s was not used to Client like myself because I was asking her if this was the most hair she’s ever installed on a client and she agreed, and said her clients usually only get 100grams.. I only got 170 grams installed on my head and I wanted 300grams. But that wasn’t my frustration, my problem was how sloppy the install was. It looks like something Beginners do. I feel like she was overwhelmed and Just wanted to get my hair with. I enjoyed my conversations and time with her. She’s a really sweet woman but I wish she would’ve been honest and said something like she’s never done extensions with 300g but she can try , I would of glady accept thatt. Instead of being dissapointed.
