5 /5 Ellen Buzzard: Ive been a patient of Redwood Community Health since they took over about 5 years ago. In all honesty, I was very unhappy with the services & care I had been receiving (if you could call it that) since they had taken over until about a year ago when I made an appointment with a new doctor that had just joined the practice. No matter what doctor I saw, none of them seemed to listen & all of them failed to address my medical concerns or put much effort in treating my conditions. I scheduled numerous appointments for the same conditions. The doctors I saw acted like they didnt want to be bothered, dismissed me or wrote off my medical problems on a variety of things I knew were not the cause. None of the doctors had any answers for me but that was no surprise when most of the time they didnt examine me or run any tests. They were all too happy to write me prescriptions that didnt help. 3 different times they prescribed prescriptions for me that I was allergic to & was noted in my chart. Luckily I caught all 3 errors prior to starting the medications. At one point I made an appointment after I came down with a nasty bug very quickly. I was seen by a nurse practitioner who lectured me for coming in when all I had was the flu (prior to COVID) instead of toughing it out & taking care of myself at home like most adults would do. A week later I went back because I was 10 times worse & was diagnosed with double pneumonia. Time after time the medical staff left me with the impression that helping & providing patients standard medical care was not a priority to them. When I made an appointment about a year ago, I was schedule to see Dr. Henry who was new to the practice. I had no more faith in him than I did the rest of the medical staff. That appointment with Dr. Henry was a game changer for me. He has done more for me in the last year than all the other doctors combined had done for me over a 4 year period. He is everything I expect from a doctor & more. WOW, what a difference a great doctor on top of his game can make.

4 /5 Rachel: It’s unfortunate that North Country Prenatal Services had to mesh into the Redwood Community Health Center. I have been receiving extended postpartum support from NCPS staff due to having postpartum difficulties. I’d missed a call about scheduling my next phone appointment to occur in 2-3 weeks, and attempted to call back. The lady at the front desk put me on hold whereby they hung up on me. I called back, and was told I had the wrong number, followed by them checking my mychart that showed they are the right office, she proceeded to tell me the person managing my care was booked, and I asked if I could speak with the person who had called me about scheduling. She feigned friendliness saying she’d put me on a brief hold to transfer me, and hung up. This never ever happened at NCPS, and given the postpartum difficulties I have been having this treatment made me feel so much worse. Thankfully it was someone else on my third call who got me to the right staff member, and there was availability after all to schedule my appointment.

1 /5 Sarah Dixon: Lets hope that this review dont get removed like the other ones have. Dr. Hunter needs to be fired. He abuses his power and is a misogynists. I will post a bit about my experience my whole history with him is too long to post and Id rather not post every detail I dont need to be attacked anymore for stating my experience. I also just recently learned that a member of his staff was fired for standing up to hunter because of something he had done to a patient. He fired him right away. Hunter does not like to be called out for the bad things he is doing to his patients. For years hes messed with me and my healthcare. As well as many other women. Ive talked to many women in person and In groups that have had a bad experience with him or with him not allowing his staff to get them the care they need. Ive been a patient of ECH for 12+ yrs and have a bunch of health issues that need attention. He had his staff take away a medication that was helping me feel better and able to leave my house. He refuses to let me change Drs the times he did I got stuck with the Drs that dont care. Ive recently tried to change Drs and my request disappeared according to multiple staff members we have talked too. Weve sent at least 10 request. Between myself and other women there have been multiple complaints turned in about his inappropriate behavior and abuse of power. I cant get any of my medical issues dealt with because he is messing with me and idk why. Ive seen him one time in the 10+ yrs Ive been a patient at open door. I know Im not the only one but I feel very attacked. My medical issues have gotten more severe over the years and he refuses to allow anybody to help me. Ive also noticed in my files that there is stuff notes written that are not true about me and its not fair that they are allowed to put false information in your files. Thankfully I keep all my records and had requested all my files over the years for my records. Due to all of these issues not being taken care of and the neglect by Dr. Hunter all these years I now have heart issues. His bosses need to takeall of our complaints more seriously and get him out of there. He is physically and emotionally, mentally messing with us and its a serious issue that needs to be taken care of. I have a friend that went information a visit for a UTI unfortunately he was apparently the only Dr available right away and when my friend got Into the room he came and didnt even bother to sit down he asked what was going on and she told him. He left the room and 5 minutes later a lady walked in. She was a therapist for open Door. He sent in a therapist to help her. He didnt come back until 5pm closing time and hour later. He didnt even come in the room he opened the door and peeked his head in and said he had to leave for a meeting and then left. He sent in a therapist for a uti appt. Thats ridiculous. Dont be fooled by the good reviews. They are a lie. If you do have a good experience with him then you are lucky and Id be sus about it because that means he most likely be watched after the many complaints against him.

1 /5 Andrea Santamaria: Things have gotten so bad lately. I am not sure if they dont have enough staff or what is going on but management has recently started "pushing to schedule patients with their main provider only" according to Denise. I submitted a message via MyChart and never got a reply. I just called and they refused to schedule me without my provider. Have various favorites nurses but some doctors and front desk people are just not helpful lately

5 /5 Dude Whiting: This is one of the best community health centers Ive been to. The staff are very nice, and the facility is very clean. Dr. McGraw is very nice, and took care in knowing what I was dealing with before I even had the blessing of meeting her. I would give 100stars if could. Thank you redwood community health center
