I’ve had Danny and Christine cut my hair and they’re both great. Christine usually cuts my hair and she is so sweet. She will ask what I want, give her rec and talk through what would look best, and explain things along the way. Highly recommend this place! The price is also very reasonable for a wash, cut, and style!

5 /5 Faye Reyes-Putich: This was the first time that Vikki has done my hair and trying Pro Hair Designs. I now know that Vikki is the lady to go to for cut and color! I had become tired of my bob and wanted a a more layered look as I grow out my hair. Vikki added some layers and reshaped my hair into a flattering but low maintenance style. I also hadn’t colored my hair since 2019 so I wanted some partial highlights that would look naturally blended with my gray hair. Vikki expertly highlighted thin strands of medium ash blonde into my black hair and it looks totally natural. I’ve been receiving compliments since I left the salon.

1 /5 Trisha Daly: I went here for the first time and I had the lady do my hair and she messed it up so bad that Danny had to do my hair. Because it had already been died once once they then use a temporary hair dye to Cover it up and did not tell me. When I went home and washed my hair it washed out and my hair was orange. I called them and left a message telling them what had happened I did not know they used temporary hair dye. They did not tell me. They did not believe me and asked me to send pictures. So I went back a third time to have my hair fixed again and this is when they told me that they use temporary hair dye last time. I will never go back to them again.

5 /5 Samuel Martinez: Tina did an awesome job on my haircut. She actually listened to what I wanted and kept me facing the mirror. Super nice and easy to talk to, too. I’d definitely recommend her if youre looking for a solid haircut.

Meleesa also did my hair for my wedding and it was flawless! Her quality work is also paired with an amazing vibe as well as sustainability practices throughout the salon. Cannot say enough good things!

Diane: My mom is a vibrant 90 plus woman. Always looking for an actual salon for her has been a challenge. But I did take her to this amazing salon in HB Old World. The stylist was professional, we showed examples of what she wanted and the stylist Tam delivered! I can’t tell you the joy that this brought about to my mom. The people at the Upstairs Salon are professional, kind and extremely knowledgeable. She had a great time and I’ve already made her second appointment and will continue to bring her there. Caitlin Neske-Thomas: I had such high expectations for this place, especially with going to high school with some of them and hearing about them being the best for prom hair, coloring hair and so on. I tried getting extensions done, had the consult and made appointment for installation. This would’ve been my first time getting extensions. I drove from Northern Nevada to Huntington Beach, CA because of how much I thought this place would be the best. Following my consult, I had additional questions so I sent them over via text which they said was ok to do. Instead of answers I get informed the next day the extension company is CURRENTLY out of stock for the color I wanted and length. Instead of offering different ways to make this work, I get an I’m sorry and no further response. No offer of going a different length, no offer of coloring the extensions, no offer of trying to stay in communication with the extension company and seeing when that color would be back in stock. Nothing. Massive let down. Almost as if they never wanted to do this for me in the first place and were just going through the motions. Not the best customer service. I could’ve been a regular. Extensions are not cheap and that’s money to you and your business. Especially with the upkeep appointments that would have to be made. Maybe because I’m not in their click or popularity. I’m not an HB girl anymore. I don’t look like them…I don’t know but major let down.

Rania Basalious: Bad place. I had a bad hair cut and they took 60 dillars because my hair is tall to wash, dry and style. They said to me your hair is tall and will take more shampoo and more work. Which is not very tall at all. Keep talking about money. I even get out of there with my hair looks like nothing happened to it. The bane in my hair in front has a cut in half of my forehead and the other half of my forehead side has no bane no cut at all. Not only this mistake and I can come to show it to you. Didnt discover till I went home. And my friends start to tell me on the party that there is something wrong in my hair cut. Once i got out of door my hair turned to be very frizzy. I look at my car mirror and I told my self may be i can calm it down at home. I never have this bad experience at all before. Usually it will stay good even for one day. The charge was double the price which is Two reservations on groupon. My hair not very thick and not very long. I didnt went to place before which charged me double the price saying that my hair is long and will take more shampoo. You should add this to the groupon. Thank you for this bad experience. Wish you better luck with your future customers.
