Thao Tran: What a beautiful and peaceful scene! Visited on a Sunday in August during sunset and the view is breathtaking! Not crowded at all. No hike needed. Theres a very short walk from the parking spot to the viewpoint.
Mammoth Creek Park - Mammoth Lakes
    Mammoth Creek Park
Doug Rockey: The park itself is on BLM land, but the access is kindly allowed through private property. Please keep clean and dont be a Richard so access can continue. Beautiful meadows, woods and stream, a hidden gem hard to find without using an app like all trails.
Shady Rest Park - Mammoth Lakes
    Shady Rest Park
Oana Gusatu: Great nature park inside an old established pine forest. In the middle there are several sports grounds, very clean facilities, many picnic tables both covered and uncovered, a nice playground and a skate park. Lots of trails to explore and well connected to the main road via a 1/2 long path. Dog and stroller friendly.
Hot Creek Geologic Site - Mammoth Lakes

Vilen Rodeski: Iconic views of the creek with mountains in the background. Small paved parking lot with a small stretch of a gravel road to get there. Walkable down to the creek to see steam and tiny fish swimming in it. Great spot for sunset views setting over the mountains.
Devils Postpile National Monument - Mammoth Lakes
    Devils Postpile National Monument
Mark Scott: From the visitors center, it is only a couple hundred yards to Devils postpile. However, I would recommend going a couple of miles further in the same hike and visit Rainbow Falls as well. There are several great campgrounds in the area of Devils Postpile, with several hiking trails, toilets, and water, although I dont think that the water is potable. Take care if you are pulling a trailer or driving an RV. It is a narrow and winding road down with very few wide spots to pull to one side.
    Inyo Craters - Mammoth Lakes
    Inyo Craters
Jorge Lopez: Moderate hike with some cool spots to take pics. The dirt road is not super challenging but make sure you pick the right lane if you have a small suv or a car. There are a few trails that take you here from the parking lot. There is a restroom here btw. The hike is about 10 to 15 min depending on your pace with some moderate elevation. There are 2 craters and you can walk around the top to check them both. You will also get some nice views of the mountains around the area.
Mammoth Museum at the Hayden Cabin - Mammoth Lakes
Mammoth Museum at the Hayden Cabin
Richard Ward: We attended the 2024 Eastern Sierra Book Festival, which was held at the Hayden Cabin Museum. The Museum was closed during the event, so we didnt have a chance to get inside, but the immediate area is stunning. The sounds of a babbling creek with stunning views all around you. Tough to beat. So impressed with this Community and how they support local events such as the wonderful Book Festival. Stellar Brew with their delicious coffees and pastries was on site (a local sponsor of the event), and my daughter and I stayed for a couple of hours listening to all the authors share their unique stories and journey. We thoroughly enjoyed the storytelling time...and the used books for sale! Walked away with several purchased books and some great memories! Looking forward to the 2025 Festival. Highly recommend you visit and support the local community. Fun day!

R MarKC: The hike to this place was very easy to get to. If you continue on the trail, you can get to rainbow falls, I think it’s about a 5 mile hike but totally worth it. Make sure to take plenty of water and snacks. The postpiles were stunning! It’s a must see if you’re visiting Mammoth!
Lakes Basin Path / Horseshoe Lake Trailhead - Mammoth Lakes
Lakes Basin Path / Horseshoe Lake Trailhead
Jackie Lopez: We came up here to do a short nature walk around horseshoe Lake. We were staying in Big Pine for the Wild Wild West ultra marathon race that takes place in Lone Pine. We wanted to stretch our legs a little bit but not do anything too difficult. This was perfect It was about a mile around the lake with beautiful views every turn you took. The path was well groomed and you were within the pine trees. There is lots of little bridges to cross and we even came upon an old foundation of what looked like what was once a cabin. You can see what remains of the fireplace.

X C: Please come with your hiking pole and hiking shoes. Yo will walk and walk in this beautiful place, you could find a wild animals. I was so lucky because I fing a big deer. If you want to see the mine entrance or the old air compressor you will going up to the hill. Be careful because the rocks are loose. But when you are at the too, you will feel better and yo can breathe clean air.
