Mae chooses top choice braiders that are current in their practices and styles. **** Maes business acumen is appreciated. WHAT HAPPENS HERE? Braids, locs, weaves, natural hair, nonethnic hair---Maes can do it all. My go to is long knotless braids. Her salon stays clean and exudes warmth. A/C?...well...maybe... WHAT KIND OF STAFF IS IT? She hires highly qualified employees that understand braiding etc. is a craft. Her staff are professional and they get the job done in the most efficient time possible for the style you request. SHOULD I WASH MY HAIR FIRST? Because shes also a cosmetologist she is certified to do washing prior to braiding. However, that would be an additional fee. Rarely does someone have their hair washed before braiding AT the salon. But be respectful and wash your hair prior to getting your hair done. Okaaaay. Yet, if youre getting locs retightening or natural hair braiding, washing may be considered typical. All stylists smile and speak. Most speak English. Especially noted men love Maes work. The first girl tho, apparently had issue with the texture of my hair (Im sure due to a lack of experience braiding Caucasian hair ) because when i tell you she was smiling right up to tha point when she turned her head and SAW ME....true story nothing says awkward like your hair dresser suddenly coming down with food poisoning and going home a quarter of the way thru your braiding session. She threw a straight fit and another lady who was already off work and planning to attend a pool party was nice enough to offer to stay late instead and take over for the girl who j-catted out. Thank you so much by the way!!! Mae was perfectly welcoming and had such a nice bright aura about her....she kept her cool and didnt miss a beat. Telling stories and making everyone laugh and feel more comfortable!! She was respectful and accommodating and i recommend her shop as my favorite in SOCAL!! NO EXAGGERATING! AND my braids were gorgeous,,!! Exactly the right hombre from dark to light blonde, curled ends and not so many it gets too heavy.... I piled them on my head so easily and they stayed nice and tight for along time, Im still wearing them. I will be going back!!

5 /5 LaShauna Gamble: I flew in from Florida to get my hair braided! I communicated with Mae on time of arrival and she accommodated me with no issues. I even made it before my 12pm appointment! I got my hair braided here 4 years ago for my wedding and the work is IMPECCABLE! I love it here!
