Kristie Perez Ive referred 4 friends to Salon Ink & we all love our stylist and refuse to go anywhere else! You are greeted with smiling faces, get to choose from a list of drinks (and adult beverages), you get your hair washed, a head and shoulder massage, cut, and hair styled for $35 - $45! You cant beat the prices or the service! On top of all of this, I really respect the owners. They plan annual events for their staff and pay for fun trips to Big Bear, Vegas etc. They are always training and learning the newest trends- always up-to-date on the best products. If you are a blonde- GO SEE JACQUE! My hair is always rejuvenated after she works her magic. Ive also worked with Rodrigo. I got a haircut in my hometown of NC, and the layers were horrible. Rodrigo saved the day and evened out my layers, kept the length, and I left sooo HAPPY! All the staff are like family! I love going here and I hope you give it a chance.

Angel As someone who’s hair is always on a new journey, I love coming to Salon Ink’s stylist Michael to help me achieve my hair goals. He is great at listening to what outcome I’m looking for and I find his knowledge and expertise very assuring. Whether it’s a simple trim or complicated color project, the outcome is never less than stellar and the compliments I get for my hair keep me coming back time and again. Walking in to the salon, is always a wonderful experience especially the Zen Den and complimentary drinks. The team here is so friendly and helpful and has the best vibes!

R M I’m SO happy with how my brows and lashes turned out. It was my first time getting my lashes lifted and tinted and I also got my brows snapped and laminated. I don’t need any make up now!!

Karen Drimmel R does beautiful work. Ive been having my lashes done on a regular basis for several months now and am very pleased with them. It is so nice to wake up and not have to worry about mascara, etc. Truly a time saver. I shall continue doing them until It cant. She is very reasonable, not like some that really gouge. Megan Schädler GO ANYWHERE ELSE! This was my first eyebrow tint experience and it was awful! I was hoping to pamper myself a bit but instead when I arrived there were cartoons blasting and her daughter, albeit sweet, was running around demanding snacks. Now I let it go because she mentioned a stylist called out and I assumed she didnt have time to find last minute child care but after reading these reviews it seems like this is just what she does. It was incredibly UNPROFESSIONAL. Now on the actual brow tint... she only had 3 color options and none of them were my shade. I should have just left at this point but I let her proceed. While doing my tint she stained my cheek... she also went between customers and didnt wear gloves or wash her hands. Which is completely UNSANITARY when working near someones eyes. When it was done she showed me her work and my eyebrows were completely uneven and outlined to almost double the size. I looked like the girls in the eyebrow prank but this was the final result. I got in my car and immediately started scrubbing them off. It was such a waste of time and money not to mention the health risk. The owner is sweet and mentioned shes been doing this for years... but based on what I witnessed she needs to make some serious changes. Shes lucky she hasnt given someone an infection and been sued. Go literally anywhere else.

S R I was able to get a same day appointment for a sew in and Bezu did a great job! I needed my hair done before an interview and was lucky to get a spot when I did. I was very calm, they played good music and I was able to study while she did my hair. I would recommend!

Alex Asmerom I had an amazing experience at this hair braiding shop with Bezu! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how spotless and organized everything was. The cleanliness really stood out, making the entire visit so much more comfortable. The team worked incredibly fast without sacrificing quality—my braids were done much quicker than I expected. And the result? Absolutely perfect! It was exactly what I wanted but even better. They nailed every detail, and I couldnt be happier. Monica RAcuna Visiting The Beauty Spot SD was absolutely wonderful! From the moment I stepped in I was greeted with warmth and a sense of calm. Daisy was incredibly sweet and the attention to detail was beyond impressive. I had an appointment for my first time underarm sugaring and Daisy explained the process clearly, making sure exactly what to expect. Because she is very professional and has a sense of nurturing the sugaring itself was surprisingly not as painful as I anticipated, she worked quickly and efficiently, making the whole experience feel much easier than I expected. Overall, I am pleased I decided to try sugaring here. I highly recommend giving sugaring a try at The Beauty Spot SD so you leave happy and satisfied with the results.

Emily Sharonova Best blowout I have ever gotten! Lasted all day long and the days following the blowout still remained. I got my hair done at 11am and my event was at 7pm, I was worried that my hair would hold up but Shamsi reassured me and did a wonderful job of making that happen. Not only did she wash and blow out my hair beautiful, Shamsi herself was extremely welcoming, kind, and light handed. She made sure I was comfortable and that everything was to my liking. I highly recommend Shamsi if you want your blowout to be voluminous, bouncy, and lasting all day!

Viri Martinez Shamsi is a gem! I am so lucky to have found her. She knows what shes doing. My hair is pretty fine with not much volume...I walked out of there looking like a new person! She gave me layers and so much volume, my hair feels fresh and perfectly bouncy. I cant stop looking at it. Im also 6 months pregnant and she made me feel so comfortable! She was so sweet! Best experience hands down.

Misha As a DJ spinning records at this wedding, I gotta give a shoutout to Mobile Beauty Team for their stellar work. The bride looked absolutely stunning - her makeup was on point, giving her that beautiful, natural glow that every bride dreams of. It was clear the team knew exactly how to enhance her features without going overboard. The hair styling was equally impressive. From my vantage point behind the decks, I could see how the brides hairdo held up perfectly through all the dancing and celebrating. And let me tell you, this crowd knew how to party! What really stood out was how the Mobile Beauty Team managed to keep the whole bridal party looking fresh throughout the night. Even after hours of grooving to my beats, everyone still looked picture-perfect. If youre tying the knot in San Diego and want to look your best without the stress, these folks are definitely worth checking out. Mae chooses top choice braiders that are current in their practices and styles. **** Maes business acumen is appreciated. WHAT HAPPENS HERE? Braids, locs, weaves, natural hair, nonethnic hair---Maes can do it all. My go to is long knotless braids. Her salon stays clean and exudes warmth. A/C?...well...maybe... WHAT KIND OF STAFF IS IT? She hires highly qualified employees that understand braiding etc. is a craft. Her staff are professional and they get the job done in the most efficient time possible for the style you request. SHOULD I WASH MY HAIR FIRST? Because shes also a cosmetologist she is certified to do washing prior to braiding. However, that would be an additional fee. Rarely does someone have their hair washed before braiding AT the salon. But be respectful and wash your hair prior to getting your hair done. Okaaaay. Yet, if youre getting locs retightening or natural hair braiding, washing may be considered typical. All stylists smile and speak. Most speak English. Especially noted men love Maes work. Jahn Amber (Jahnnie) This shop is amazing, Ive never been so impressed. The first girl tho, apparently had issue with the texture of my hair (Im sure due to a lack of experience braiding Caucasian hair ) because when i tell you she was smiling right up to tha point when she turned her head and SAW ME....true story nothing says awkward like your hair dresser suddenly coming down with food poisoning and going home a quarter of the way thru your braiding session. She threw a straight fit and another lady who was already off work and planning to attend a pool party was nice enough to offer to stay late instead and take over for the girl who j-catted out. Thank you so much by the way!!! Mae was perfectly welcoming and had such a nice bright aura about her....she kept her cool and didnt miss a beat. Telling stories and making everyone laugh and feel more comfortable!! She was respectful and accommodating and i recommend her shop as my favorite in SOCAL!! NO EXAGGERATING! AND my braids were gorgeous,,!! Exactly the right hombre from dark to light blonde, curled ends and not so many it gets too heavy.... I piled them on my head so easily and they stayed nice and tight for along time, Im still wearing them. I will be going back!!

LaShauna Gamble I flew in from Florida to get my hair braided! I communicated with Mae on time of arrival and she accommodated me with no issues. I even made it before my 12pm appointment! I got my hair braided here 4 years ago for my wedding and the work is IMPECCABLE! I love it here!

Neely Neely I don’t know where these other people went to when they gave this business 5 stars. They must be family, friends, fake accounts, but this place is a walking nightmare! I question if they actually clean the tools used for nails. The sofas look worst than the ones thrown on the side of road. They probably have bed bugs and a potential scabies infestation waiting. My husband and I both went here hoping to get manicures and pedicures. They all but cut off his big toe nipping... he probably needed a tetanus shot after that visit with a chaser of hep A vaccine. If that wasn’t enough, the nail tech came around to my hands, and tore up my thumb! We both bled. She was rushing, and all she could say was “I sarree”. She had the audacity to tell us “4 dolla” more for antiseptic cleaning. If I could give negative stars I would! Do not go to this place unless you want to catch an infection or lice or bed bugs or scabies.

DyAsia Davenport Ms. Angela was able to get me in last Thursday first thing in the morning. Her work was amazing and she was so sweet. She even worked with me to make sure my hair was finished on time for another appointment I had that same day. Her work is neat and her prices are fair for whatever type of hair you may have. I got boho knotless braids and I’d recommend anybody to go to her. I will definitely be back.

Tia Bria My mother referred me to Angela and I was beyond satisfied. My braids were amazing, very light weight, not to tight and she explains to what she is doing and what product she is putting in your hair. All of my braids were the same size and have yet to find an issues with my braids. I HIGHLY recommend Angela.

Morgan Golightly Angela always uses the best products for her clients and is great at walking you through the process. She has helped me with my damaged hair and helped build it over time. I always come for a silk press highlights and protein treatments and Angela is great at working with my schedule and always has me leaving feeling beautiful.

Voice Yourself I’ve been coming to Shanell and her ladies for the last five years. For a moment, I did go somewhere else and I was not as happy as I am being back with these ladies. My hair color looks amazing and it lasted a very long time. The girls are very responsive and overall a great experience. This last time I went. I had my hair done by Sachiko And she had great recommendations for my hair. I will definitely keep returning

Christina My The salon is so cute and clean. I got my hair toned with the owner shanelle and she did amazing. The color was on point and the wash was so relaxing. There’s plenty of parking and food places near by if you get hungry during your appointment! I truly recommend this place!

HAZB I am in love with my cut! Irina not only took time to listen to what I wanted, she showed and explained to me what she was going to do. I didn’t feel rushed like I do at most salons. She really listened! and my hair turned out *exactly* how I wanted it! I have found my new salon and they have other services too! I highly recommend Irina, she is very good at what she does! M.M. Cluttered. 3 stylists I was the only customer. My hair is shaved in the back n probably bangs are 2 inches. I just wanted a highlight on my bang and a couple little ones on top and they wanted $190. Obviously I left the area they’re in and with the shop looks like inside should not be charging what they charge on high-end salons.

Thankfully she was able to fit me in for an emergency appointment. I advise making appointments in advance because her exceptional talent keeps her busy and in high demand. I have thick, coily, natural hair and typically warn beauticians it is not for the faint of heart. This did not phase her. She took her time gently washing and detangling my natural hair. My Havana twist were beautifully done.

J Kenner I needed some assistance and after a Google search, I called Royal Creations Hair and Beauty Supply. The lady who answered the phone was kind and knowledgeable. After providing me with a couple references I called Mari. Mari scheduled to see me the same day I called her, even though it was New Year’s Eve. She was kind, helpful, and generous. I bought something at the store just because of her. It was a great experience from start to finish. Thanks Mari!

Bronwyn Landry I am SO glad I found this shop. I was searching on TikTok for wigs in San Diego and Royal Creations popped up. I watched a few videos and then followed on both TT and IG. After watching their videos and seeing the quality of hair and all the services they offered I was sold. I drove down this morning from Oceanside and as soon as I walked in I was met by Daeyana who was so incredibly sweet and helpful. She is so knowledgeable. I tried on a frontal which is the type of wig I usually wear but I also tried on a closure wig and it fit me better than any frontal I have ever tried. I have a small head so it is a hit or miss for me. But when I tell you QUALITY!!! the hair is incredible and it was already pre bleached and pre plucked. I was so shocked at how beautiful this wig was. She also helped me find a better glue then what I am currently using. You can also drop your wig off to get washed and styled and they even repair your lace for you if you purchase your wig from here. I am seriously SOLD. They will be seeing so much more of me. Impressive and I LOVE that it is a locally black owned business. Everyone should go support this place! Trust me!!

Juli Had pedicure with Liz. Found this salon searching for place that uses OPI. Great attention to detail, caring, beautiful toes. Understands nail color and skin tone. Most of all my feet are still soft days later even after a lot of walking in flip flops! Price very reasonable, easy to schedule.

Allyjunkmail 27 I don’t normally ever write reviews, but I left with such botched hair that I want to warn people. I went to Lauren, who was SO nice but unfortunately left me with bleach stains and terrible highlights when I’d asked for balayage. I showed her photos of what I wanted and we talked about what we were doing beforehand so I thought I was in good hands. I didn’t spot the damage really until I got home (was also trying to convince myself it wasn’t that bad) - Lauren said if I didn’t like something or wanted anything changed she’d do it for free in the next two weeks, so I reached out to let her know I’d noticed some harsh dye lines and wanted them toned out. Lauren said she’d look at her books but never reached back out, so I got the damage fixed at another salon (Rebeca at Seaside Trends OB worked her magic to fix it!). Lauren was so friendly and personable, and the haircut she gave me was great, but don’t go here if you want balayage.
