My hair hadnt been professionally styled in months but she kindly took on the challenge and I left feeling like I had a total hair transformation after my brown low light balayage!

Carpe Diem I love how my hair turned out. Soft and layered nicely. I like that Elle took the time to massage my scalp while washing my hair. She also took the time to blow dry my hair and love the products she used on my hair. Will definitely go back to her again.

Shauni Thorpe Elle did such an amazing job with my hair! She listened to what I wanted and gave me helpful recommendations as well. She is very kind and professional. I had a great experience with her. Cant wait to go back!

Tina Douglas After COVID, I decided to embrace my curls and stop using a flat iron to straighten it. So I decided to look for someone that specialized in cutting curly hair... And but what a difference! Sometimes I walk out of there looking like I just got a perm! My curls have never looked hair nor have they ever looked better!! Love, love, love my curls and cut now! I wont go back!

Karen Rolls I’m so grateful that I found Anthony at Salon Salotto. He hears what I’m asking for so when I leave I feel beautiful. I get so many compliments on the color and cut. My hair is healthy and soft. I also feel very pampered and cared for. The whole team at this salon are so personable, professional and talented. The environment has a spa feeling and is very relaxing. They take their time to please the client. I’m always amazed at the great colors and styles when the clients are leaving.

Emily Sharonova Best blowout I have ever gotten! Lasted all day long and the days following the blowout still remained. I got my hair done at 11am and my event was at 7pm, I was worried that my hair would hold up but Shamsi reassured me and did a wonderful job of making that happen. Not only did she wash and blow out my hair beautiful, Shamsi herself was extremely welcoming, kind, and light handed. She made sure I was comfortable and that everything was to my liking. I highly recommend Shamsi if you want your blowout to be voluminous, bouncy, and lasting all day!

Viri Martinez Shamsi is a gem! I am so lucky to have found her. She knows what shes doing. My hair is pretty fine with not much volume...I walked out of there looking like a new person! She gave me layers and so much volume, my hair feels fresh and perfectly bouncy. I cant stop looking at it. Im also 6 months pregnant and she made me feel so comfortable! She was so sweet! Best experience hands down.

Cristina Tahhan Shamsi was so nice and I love my new haircut! I didnt know exactly what I wanted but i told her to do what she saw best for my face shape and she did and its so cute! I definitely recommend.

Lexie Volquez If you’ve been thinking about booking an appointment, stop thinking and just book it! Originally, I had only booked a hair painting appointment with Allie because I had planned to get a cut at a different salon. However, to keep things consistent and because I wanted to try it out, I decided to book the next available appointment for the cut, before the color. While Allie didn’t have time slots available to do both services the same day, I was able to snag an appointment the week earlier with Olive for the cut. All I can say is WOW! Olive is so down to earth, she took the time to listen to what I wanted and she delivered! Never have I had such an amazing haircut (and I’ve had curly dry cuts before). I asked for layers and I got LAYERZZZ! I admire the close attention to detail and how intentional every snip is. Allie is also amazing! So sweet, welcoming, and passionate about curls. I couldn’t feel more comfortable as a new client. It was so easy working together to bring the look I wanted to life and I appreciate how she took the time to answer all my coloring questions. I also love that she took all the steps necessary to make sure I was shielded from any product accidentally landing where it shouldn’t. After gently applying products and drying my hair I was amazed to see the final results turned out exactly how I would style at home which tells me she really understood what my curls wanted. It also helps that the color is gorgeous! I feel bad that I can’t stick to one stylist but I’ve been spoiled by both of these amazing women and I won’t look back! Just goes to show how talented the amazing team at curlcraft is. Can’t wait for my next visit!

Misha As a DJ spinning records at this wedding, I gotta give a shoutout to Mobile Beauty Team for their stellar work. The bride looked absolutely stunning - her makeup was on point, giving her that beautiful, natural glow that every bride dreams of. It was clear the team knew exactly how to enhance her features without going overboard. The hair styling was equally impressive. From my vantage point behind the decks, I could see how the brides hairdo held up perfectly through all the dancing and celebrating. And let me tell you, this crowd knew how to party! What really stood out was how the Mobile Beauty Team managed to keep the whole bridal party looking fresh throughout the night. Even after hours of grooving to my beats, everyone still looked picture-perfect. Emily Ho This review is long overdue. I have been going to Jessica for *12 years* and for good reason! She is an absolute master at what she does - both cut and color - and she will take every care to truly understand what you are looking for. I even trusted her with my cut and color for my wedding! On top of that, Jessica is a huge sweetheart. Ive gotten hair cuts from her other staff, who also do a good job, and have referred countless friends to her salon. I highly recommend!

Gina Ferguson I’ve been going to Jessica for about 10 years now, and she really is an expert in what she does. I know I can always trust her. Her salon is super clean and comfortable, and she’ll always make you feel at home with conversation while she works hard. I’ve been to other places, and Jessica tops all the ones I have been to, listening to exactly how I want my hair cut and styled, it turns out better than I expected each time. Any problems you have with your hair, just know she’ll accommodate you in the best way possible. Price is very reasonable!

Deirdre Fuller Jessica did an absolutely amazing job of saving my mom’s hair after it became extremely matted following a period of illness. I was surprised at how much she was able to preserve and she gave my mom a cute and manageable cut. They worked on brushing it out for a long time before cutting, dedicating a lot of time and thought to it. Jessica was so kind and sensitive and really helped my mom feel better. I can’t thank her enough!

Sydnee Belcher Selena toned and cut my hair, and she did an amazing job! She was very personable and made the experience great. Would recommend coming here! Prices are little high but that’s to be expected of San Diego!

Luisa Rojas Ill start by that my stylist was very nice, kind and friendly throughout the service. I also appreciate being accommodated last minute. However, I just cant get over how unhappy I am with the results of my blowout. I just had another done a bit over a week ago, so I know this is not because of hair texture or something of the sort. I have never ever had a blow out turn out this frizzy. Its very messy, like I didnt even have anything done - EVEN though I also had a hydrating treatment done right before. There are some spots that are still curly (from my natural hair), and the rest is just generally very frizzy... It looks and feels so much drier than normal. I got this done for an upcoming conference in San Diego, so Im quite disappointed. I didnt notice these issues until I got home, so I didnt get a chance to mention it at the salon. Edit: Today (day after service), theres quite a bit of product build up in my scalp, which looks like dandruff. This usually happens when my hair is dirty. It feels heavy. This tells me that, even though we did a second shampoo, the scalp wasnt cleaned in depth... Ill need to wash my hair again soon, even though I can usually go several days without a wash.

Elijah Scholer I recently started working near this salon and needed a haircut. The staff was friendly, the look is sleek and inviting, and my stylist made my day. Im so very happy with the service I received, Im definitely going back. Whoever designed this place has a keen eye for detail which is a huge plus when it comes to getting your hair cut, colored or styled. 10 out of 10 all day!!

Emily Galt Had a great experience here. Salon is lovely, receptionist was friendly and helpful (especially when I dropped my credit card in the parking lot on the way out and she made sure I got it back!) and the service I had was very professionally delivered and exactly what I was hoping for. Will definitely be back!

Katie Cersosimo Always a friendly greeting by Shari at the reception desk. The spa has a cozy, warm, and relaxing vibe. Bella is my go to esthetician. I’ve been getting monthly facials with Bella for over a year now. Bella does an excellent job with helping identify treatments and products to help me with the various skin concerns (dryness, acne, hyper pigmentation, etc) I have. During the facial she takes the time to explain the products she applied and answered my questions. During the enzyme facial she provided a gentle & relaxing scalp massage. Bella is very knowledgeable and genuinely strives to provide the best service.

Karen Cruz I’ve had facials with both Yadira and Brantley, both were super sweet and knew exactly what they were doing, they got me on the right track with my skincare and I couldn’t be happier, can’t wait to come back for my next facial.

Brianna My haircut was great, but I had an extremely poor experience with my balayage. I requested a dark mushroom/cool toned brown and did NOT get that at all (pics shown of what I was given). I went back several times hoping she would be able to fix it but she never got it right. I stopped going back after the third or fourth time and several hundred dollars later. Not only that, but the stylist, Kassie, forgot who I was and talked crap about me, TO ME. I mentioned personal things in a previous appointment because she asked about it, and then in the next appointment she forgot who I was and said I was crazy, TO ME. When I called her out on it she said, "oh sorry I forgot who you were." Her haircut was good but would not recommend her other services. I went to a different salon and was able to get the exact style I wanted right away.

Caroline Duffy Love this studio! They include a drink with your appointment (water/wine/tea/coffee), your stylist will wash (does a great job), and style, very affordable too. Tess is super personable and does an excellent job!

Jennifer Yore Such a gorgeous salon - really peaceful and located right next to some great shops and restaurants. I love that they carry and use Davines hair products, I always leave with my hair smelling incredible! I have been going to Bettina for my haircuts forever and she is wonderful! The staff are lovely and I appreciate the appointment reminders.

Debbie Lockwood Salon Bordeaux is the go to place for the best in class hair professionals in San Diego. The vibe is hip, professional and extremely welcoming. My stylist is Lucy and I will never stray from her because shes so excellent with color and cuts. Lucy helps keep me looking current and fabulous! Shes always open to squeezing me in if I need a bang trim or a slight tweak of my haircut. You will not regret making Salon Bordeaux your go to place for hair care. Period.

Jerome Cooper Solid cut and great service! I have been here several times and had my haircut by many stylists. I have always had a great experience. I especially love when I get compliments on my hair when I leave the salon. The staff is so friendly and they are very professional. Katherine Elizabeth CAIT IS SUCH AN AMAZING COLORIST!!!!! I went in with long, medium brown hair and walked out 6 hours later with the perfect golden blonde. She exceeded my expectations as most other places said it would take me at least a couple of sessions months apart to become the level of blonde I wanted. Instead, Cait recreated my reference photos perfectly and gave me the legally blonde hair I really wanted in a day. My hair is literally healthier than when I walked in and I have had no abnormal fallout or breakage. I could not recommend her enough if you are considering going blonde!!!!!

Mae chooses top choice braiders that are current in their practices and styles. **** Maes business acumen is appreciated. WHAT HAPPENS HERE? Braids, locs, weaves, natural hair, nonethnic hair---Maes can do it all. My go to is long knotless braids. Her salon stays clean and exudes warmth. A/C?...well...maybe... WHAT KIND OF STAFF IS IT? She hires highly qualified employees that understand braiding etc. is a craft. Her staff are professional and they get the job done in the most efficient time possible for the style you request. SHOULD I WASH MY HAIR FIRST? Because shes also a cosmetologist she is certified to do washing prior to braiding. However, that would be an additional fee. Rarely does someone have their hair washed before braiding AT the salon. But be respectful and wash your hair prior to getting your hair done. Okaaaay. Yet, if youre getting locs retightening or natural hair braiding, washing may be considered typical. All stylists smile and speak. Most speak English. Especially noted men love Maes work. Jahn Amber (Jahnnie) This shop is amazing, Ive never been so impressed. The first girl tho, apparently had issue with the texture of my hair (Im sure due to a lack of experience braiding Caucasian hair ) because when i tell you she was smiling right up to tha point when she turned her head and SAW ME....true story nothing says awkward like your hair dresser suddenly coming down with food poisoning and going home a quarter of the way thru your braiding session. She threw a straight fit and another lady who was already off work and planning to attend a pool party was nice enough to offer to stay late instead and take over for the girl who j-catted out. Thank you so much by the way!!! Mae was perfectly welcoming and had such a nice bright aura about her....she kept her cool and didnt miss a beat. Telling stories and making everyone laugh and feel more comfortable!! She was respectful and accommodating and i recommend her shop as my favorite in SOCAL!! NO EXAGGERATING! AND my braids were gorgeous,,!! Exactly the right hombre from dark to light blonde, curled ends and not so many it gets too heavy.... I piled them on my head so easily and they stayed nice and tight for along time, Im still wearing them. I will be going back!!

Max Siegler I spend the winter in San Diego and I admit I am extremley particular about my hair. I am accustomed to a very upscale salon in Boston with highly experienced and A well known colorist. I was so fortunate to have found Elli and the opportunity for her to do my color while here in San Diego. She is a true talanted and charming professional. She really knows color and she is such a warm and wonderful person. In addition she is fast and I am so happy to have found her. Alice Fuzileira LLC Elli is absolutely amazing! She did my hair on Sunday, which is rare as most salons are closed. She is very energetic and professional. I had orange hair with very bad gray roots. She did a color correction and she also uses amazing products. I traveled three hours out of state to see her. She also was very helpful with parking, I was able to park my car in the back of the salon. She is from Iran and her story is very inspiring! I love her so much.
