I especially love when I get compliments on my hair when I leave the salon. The staff is so friendly and they are very professional. They do a great job of getting me in when I need a last minute cut as well. I highly recommend checking them out if you are looking for a great stylist!

5 /5 Katherine Elizabeth: CAIT IS SUCH AN AMAZING COLORIST!!!!! I went in with long, medium brown hair and walked out 6 hours later with the perfect golden blonde. She exceeded my expectations as most other places said it would take me at least a couple of sessions months apart to become the level of blonde I wanted. Instead, Cait recreated my reference photos perfectly and gave me the legally blonde hair I really wanted in a day. My hair is literally healthier than when I walked in and I have had no abnormal fallout or breakage. I could not recommend her enough if you are considering going blonde!!!!!

Also, the salon is so chic and cute, I love spending time here. I’ll absolutely be returning and I highly recommend this studio!

3 /5 Madison Wilson: I went to Wild Honey last week for the first time and saw a new stylist for a basic haircut. The cut was decent, she did a good job, however the overall experience was cold and uncomfortable. I was very close to asking my stylist if she was okay because she seemed like she did not want to be there or was upset at me for some reason. Sadly I won’t be coming back.

Amyra: Fariba did an amazing job! The salon took me in on a Monday (when most salons in the area are closed) on a same day appointment after an hour from when I called. I went from having hair half way down my back to collar length. It was a huge change but she made me feel comfortable. She even recommended a great color for toner color and did a beautiful styling job. The appointment took about 1.5 hours. Would highly recommend!

Nilab majidi: I recently visited this salon and had a disappointing experience. The hairstylist who was assigned to me was Sylvia, she was unfriendly from the start. During the appointment, I received an important phone call and politely asked her if she could turn off the blow dryer for a moment so I could hear. Instead of accommodating my request, she rudely told me to "use my other ear" because she was blow drying one side of my hair. When I explained again that the call was urgent and asked her to stop the dryer for just a minute, she finally turned it off but walked away with visible annoyance. After the call, she resumed blow drying but didn’t even finish the job properly, my hair was still frizzy, and the roots were damp. She then told me I was “done,” leaving me feeling like she rushed through the service with no care for quality. I ended up speaking to the receptionist, who thankfully arranged for another stylist to fix my hair, but the whole experience left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. I wouldn’t recommend this salon if you’re expecting professionalism and courtesy from their staff.

Leighton Jones: Wonderful experience. The salon has a cool location that is easy to get to no matter where you live in San Diego. My stylist was Jessie—so knowledgeable in her art and kindhearted. This was my first experience not only in this salon but also in vegan, nontoxic salon products. I will never go back. As a natural blonde, that unfortunately gets more brunette with age, I struggle with what bleach and heat do to my hair. These products let you go blonde but without the damage (crunchy texture and split ends). There is no strong odor during the process and it also doesn’t require heat processing which is great as I often struggle with eczema. I would recommend this salon to anyone, and already have! Happy to answer any questions in the comments. Overall….Come here for your next salon visit! Update 3/2023: been a client now for over 2 years. Won’t go anywhere else. This past visit Jessie was able to continue to amaze me with my color and cut. I have premature white hair—she can blend them in like nothing I’ve ever seen. Easily can go 4-5 months without touch ups or color. Amazing!!

I messed up my hair by trying to cut it myself so I had to find a place who could correct my mistake. Jeanette was fabulous! Not only did she give me a perfect Bob she was also knowledgeable about great places to eat and things to do in SD. I will see her again in the future.

They are amazing with extensions, updos, and haircuts. You truly get treated like VIP and will quickly become part of the knstruct family. They offer beer on tap and even have a cute coffee shop next door. They also have the cutest salon pups hanging around to keep you company! They only use top of the line products, leaving your hair healthy and shiny every time. I love these ladies and cannot recommend this salon enough!

Sabrina Simeroth: Erin was amazing! I booked a last minute appointment and had no idea what I wanted other than to lighten my hair subtly and get a trim. I have very thick, long hair that is textured and has a lot of wave. Erin was so patient with me, gave me some incredible advice, listened to what I didn’t want and helped me find exactly what I wanted, then she masterfully transformed my hair. She did an amazing job and Ava was such a huge help. I will be coming back! This is the dream team!

Dalia San Miguel: I’ve waited a whole month before writing this review. Do NOT allow them to cut your hair. I went in for a long layered cut with a thin out. The stylist ended up leaving my hair uneven and took more hair on one side versus the other. The cut looks okay when they style it but as soon as you go home and wash it you will see the flawed cut just as I did. I reached out and was very clear that I did not want to cut my hair any further but would prefer a refund simply for the cut. I wasn’t even asking for my money back for the style. Management said they would get back to me and they ignored all my attempts to get a response and till this day, the company has not made an effort to reach out and make things right. So disappointed. You would think that they would at least have the decency to respond.
