1 /5 Cairo the Red Doberman: I brought my car to Luis Auto because it was struggling to start and had a low idle when stopped. They replaced the fuel pump and oxygen sensor, but the original issues continued. I returned the car three separate times over several weeks, and each time I was told there was nothing wrong — despite clearly still having the same problems.
Frustrated, I took the car to Lexus for a proper diagnostic. They immediately identified the actual issue: a leaking fuel injector. The Lexus technician even questioned why Luis Auto replaced the fuel pump and oxygen sensor in the first place, indicating those repairs were likely unnecessary.
I approached the owner of Luis Auto with this information, sharing the diagnostic notes and quote from Lexus. I expressed that I believed a full refund was warranted — I had paid for services that didn’t address or resolve the issue. Luis Auto completely misdiagnosed the problem.
To make matters worse, I found out they had replaced my brakes without informing me or getting my authorization beforehand. This was only disclosed when I arrived to pick up my car. What kind of auto shop performs work without first discussing it with the customer?
I’m extremely disappointed with the lack of communication, accountability, and diagnostic accuracy. I won’t be returning and would strongly caution others before trusting this shop with their vehicle.
