5 /5 Denise Tung: Great experience visiting this place that had very nice ambassadors doing talks. Great way to experience the SD bay and all the trails that are part of the NWS next door. Recommend if you are interested in sea life, raptors and learning more about the SD Bay wild life. I didnt spot any marsh land birds, but would like to come back and visit again early AM to see the birds on the signs that say these are our neighbors.

3 /5 Devon Smale: Went to this place yesterday. Didnt really know that it was a recovery center. The animals are wounded and recover at this place and then return to the wild, if they can. The sea turtle was essentially paralyzed but was so sweet and still a joy to watch. The staff was super friendly and you could tell that they cared deeply for all the animals there. Also we didnt know about the shuttle. You park in one place and take a shuttle to get to the location and then back to your car. It runs often but it didnt seem like a lot of people knew especially uber drivers.

5 /5 Arcadia Parson: This was such a cool place and you can tell all the employees and volunteers care so much about the animals. This is not a huge facility so you only need a couple hours, but there is a great variety of things to see and the animals were really active. We got to see them feed an octopus, attended the shark and ray experience, and did a private experience with Emerald the sea turtle. The touch tank in the shark and ray area is full of very active rays and getting to help set up enrichment for emerald was a lot of fun. I absolutely will bring all future visiting friends and family here!

5 /5 Cassie Nix: We had a lovely time. It is small, but we spent a couple hours walking around. We did the private encounter with the turtle, and it was awesome. We loved the touch tank for the sharks and rays. They did a lot of educational experiences and we learned a lot.

5 /5 Sonseeahray Hodge: A gem in the middle of San Diego, sitting in the middle of a magical marsh, are rescued animals that are lovingly cared for in a chill, beautiful and less people-ly environment than a large zoo. Staff member, Jaasiel went above and beyond to teach us about the wildlife present at the site. Kind staff with polite drivers made the day wonderful. For people with sensory processing disorder, this is your chance to experience the local wildlife without the big crowds. Thank you, Living Coast Discovery Center and Jaasiel for such an amazing experience.

Jasta Dudley: Very clean park! Dog and children friendly. Every Sunday morning there is a farmers market and it’s such a perfect place to bring a blanket and people watch or relax in nature.

Mountain Hawk Park - Chula Vista

Ruth Jones: A beautiful neighborhood park in Eastlake in Chula Vista. The park overlooks Otay Lake. It has lots of walking trails. A playground and a splash zone for the kiddos. It is well maintained and super clean. Lots of designated parking spots and street parking. There are also several large picnic gazebos with grills.

Chula Vista Marina View Park - Chula Vista

Jennifer Crosthwaite: Love this place. It’s a fun place to take the kids to enjoy the outdoors. The play ground is fun. And in the water there are ducks and other ocean birds to admire. There is a path that connects to the marina that is great to walk and bike ride. There is a grassy area to kick the soccer ball around and benches with covering to sit and eat with family and friends. There are restrooms near by, bring your own toilet paper just Incase they are out. The restrooms don’t have doors so it might be better to go in pairs.

Explorer Park - Chula Vista

Kimberly C: Nice, fairly clean park with two playgrounds,good walking loop and basketball court. There is plenty of seating around the playground, some with shade and a wonderful large grass area. Only downfall is there arent bathrooms so plan accordingly.

Rohr Park - Bonita

Martinez Angel (Coach AnG): Nice park. The grounds are very well kept. Lots of open space, gazebos, shady trees, and playground. Saw plenty of leashed dogs. Bathroom could use some work. Parking can be an issue on busy days. But, what a great getaway for a few hours!

Stephanie Gonzalez: 3. 5 Stars So I have mixed feelings about this park. I looked up dog friendly/off leash parks on the San Diego City website (there is a downloadable map with locations all over the county). We were in the area and decided to check out the "Friendship Park" dog park. I should have paid attention to the reviews, I guess. Some people posted pictures of their dogs at the park this isnt a dog park with a fenced area or an off leash area. Its just a large area of grass with benches and a walkway. Its a nice green space to picnic, read, etc, if you live in the area, but I wouldnt go out of my way. Also, the water fountain was gross, and the Doggie water fountain was partially broken. - No parking lot. Just street parking in a semi residential area and can be hard to find.

Sky Zone Trampoline Park - Chula Vista

Diana Ha: I am giving this location 3 stars due to some closures, some of the trampolines were dirty with trash, there was caution tape on one the the trampolines in the trampoline area which is not functional if you think about a jumping place so you would have to skip over that rectangle that was lined with caution tape on the floor, there was 1 obstacle course blocked off as well. The staff themselves were really nice, it was just the environment at the time. Also by 12:00pm it was packed, so you could not really jump at ease without jumping into someone else. If you do decide to go here, I would say be there early and leave by 12:00pm to avoid the foot traffic, especially with younger ones under 6. There were plenty of seating and item cubbies to place your items while in the jumping zone.

Otay Lakes County Park - Chula Vista

Katelyn: I love this park. Parking is $3 which gives you access to a beautiful clean park with gorgeous breathtaking lakeside views and rich wildlife. Really fun to set up a tripod with binoculars for birding. We heard and saw 3 red shouldered hawks flying together! It’s also really fun to watch and listen to the cormorants out on the water. The bathrooms were nice and clean as well. They are single private bathrooms unlike the unclean stall-less bathrooms at any other park in Chula Vista. Cute little playground with a gazebo that’s great for parties, families, and children as well. They also have a small walking trail.

Los Ninos Park - Chula Vista

Fox Cristian: Simple nice park, it was empty on Friday. Its a great place to relax at. It has a playground and a few benches. The grassy area is big enough to have different groups of activities going on at the same time. You have to park in the street or really far away.
