BRIAN PEREYRA: Very nice and well kept park in Chula Vista next to Eastlake High School. Tall trees provide a good amount of shade. Easy to access park when coming up Eastlake Parkway headed south. Make a quick right into the driveway after the monument sign. Parking sign posting says, parking is for 2 hours only.

Johnston Elisa (Average Advocate): My kids enjoyed our field trip here! This is the second time weve gone, and they accept donations which makes this a relatively inexpensive field trip, which is nice. The couple who runs the field trips is kind, although the woman seemed rather forgetful and would sometimes repeat stuff. Parts of it were really boring for kids, and I feel like they could give less information with more interactive games or conversations. But the time in the train area was wonderful and the kids loved being able to do the trains themselves. They were so patient to make sure each child got a turn. They did this early into the field trip, which was good, as last time the kids didnt care by the time they got to the trains, when the order was reversed. The kids also liked playing musical chairs and loved being given ice cream! Clean, beautiful, wonderful look into history and so close to the mission, to also check out. Overall, for what we paid, it was much more than worth it. Are very thankful.

G Barbara “Babs”: We were there for the free day/ pom pom event. It was a beautiful day which made it a great event to attend. The art was amazing I do not know how people have such patience to make such amazing prices. I was very impressed with the clothing art. Made from a verity of materials such as rice, popcorn, sea shells and so much more. Love that they will have a free event every first of the Sunday of this month. I hope it attracts more people by doing this.

Laurel D.: Such a cool museum! Great artifacts and cool visuals. The curators are so friendly and happy to elaborate on each piece and surfer featured. A warm and friendly environment with a dangerously cute gift shop.

Charwin Belisario: Great place for a walk, especially during the low tide, which allows you to go under the boardwalk! There can be a lot of people at times doing all kinds of activities. Lots of surfers, joggers, children, photographers, folks fishing, tourists. Ive also seen some homeless people. Ive seen whales, dolphins, and different kinds of birds here, too. Theres loads of places to eat. Theres also a number of restrooms and showers people can use. Theres a playground for kids. Loads of parking and a number of rental properties for people on vacation.
    Oside Rock Garden - Oceanside
    Oside Rock Garden
Kytka: Oceanside Rock Garden is a charming little gem, and its painted rock garden is an absolute delight! Tucked away in this cozy spot, visitors are greeted by a colorful array of hand-painted rocks, each with its own unique design, message, or bit of whimsy. It’s such a sweet and creative touch that brings a smile to your face and adds a sense of community to the area. Whether you’re leaving a rock of your own or just admiring the collection, this hidden treasure is a simple but memorable stop that’s sure to brighten your day.

    Oceanside Harbor Village
Tammy Willis: I love the atmosphere. This would be 5star if there were more shops and variety to the kinds of shops. This is mostly a place to eat and take in the atmosphere. I think it is a gem of a place to Oceanside. I love seeing boats in their slips and people out paddle boarding and kayaking. There is a place here to rent these items as well so you can also enjoy the calm waters of this harbor
    Sea Lion Island - Oceanside
    Sea Lion Island
dannyike12: The name was accurate — plenty of sea lions right on the docks. Fun and easy stop along the cute ocean harbor town. There are boats all in the harbor, and the views are quaint. People fishing, kayaking, and more throughout, but not too crowded. Easy to drive down, park, and hop out to see the sea lions. If you’re in the area, worth a quick visit!
Last Wave of The Day statue - Oceanside
Last Wave of The Day statue
stephen burtch: It’s a very nice piece of sculpture and the title of the work makes sense. Found on line only. It would be nice to see a plaque of the artist and inscription of the thought behind the work. I did look around for one. Very nice and I like it
    Oak Riparian Park - Oceanside
    Oak Riparian Park
Natalia & Shawn Cole Harvey: Nice play place, simple but enough to run it out. The trail is great! Woods with a little creek then marshy wetlands then before you know it youre on the volcano trail at Lake Calavera! I love the different parts of this trail in such a short walk. Of course if you go to the peak its too long for the little ones, 5 miles I think, but the walk through the woods and wetlands and then around the corner to see the volcano is perfect for the little ones. This trail would be jogging stroller friendly but a carrier would probably be easier since you have to cross the creek on a board.
