5 /5 Amber Lum: My mother received care at Kentfield Hospital following her stroke and craniectomy at UCSF. Entrusting strangers with a vulnerable loved one is incredibly daunting, but interacting with the staff at Kentfield gave me a sense of peace.
I was quickly struck by how warm and inviting the staff are, and how kind and attentive the physical therapists and nurses were with my mom. Neha and her physical therapy team created an encouraging and uplifting environment that motivated my mother to engage in physical therapy exercises. They were very hands-on and happy to educate us as well. Nurses and staff like Jackie, Rutha, Joey, Yash, Liz, and many others ensured she was not only cared for but also treated with dignity and humanity.
If you have a loved one in the hospital, I encourage you to visit often and connect with the staff if possible. It allows them to gain a fuller understanding of their patients and fosters a more positive experience for everyone involved.
Thank you, Kentfield Hospital, for your kindness, sensitivity, humility, and humor. Because of you, we hold onto hope for my mother’s continued recovery. We are deeply grateful.
