Tarah: Athena is such a great stylist! I have curly hair and she can cut it when I wear it straight or curly. I tend to like a short cut and she always wows me when shes done. Im pretty conservative when it comes to coloring my hair but she really listens and has given me caramel, burgundy and even navy! Shes definitely a sweetheart and a great find!
Johanna Ferman: Above all is a hidden gem in downtown Point Richmond.... a one of a kind nail spa (!)... In this post-pandemic period -- with so many spas having closed or having high staff turnover -- Above All shines brightly for retaining its very relaxing, very warm and personal character as well as being exceptionally clean (without feeling sterile!).
Amy, the manager is always welcoming and responsive and the staff -- Rose, Vi and Tina -- have been here for years now. This says a LOT about the place. They work together beautifully -- and they do lovely work. I havent taken photos recently, but will next time -- but they do expert mani-pedis, including optional/additional (completely worth it in my book) scrubs, hot rocks, and hot wax. The chairs provide shiatsu massage -- but the staff do additional neck, leg and hand/arm massage. I always look forward to going for my manis and pedis with them -- and so appreciate their excellence combined with the welcoming ambiance theyve created as a team.
Melanie Neill: Trish did a GREAT job on my hair. I would definitely go back to her and I highly recommend her!!!
My only suggestion is that the salon itself needs some TLC. Dont expect an upscale salon. Still, for $40.00 for a great cut, Im not complaining.
