2 /5 James Killian: The ER is horrible. The hospital stays are decent. These two observations are based, intermittently, on the staff. Also, theres an "air," slightly tangible, that this is a poor, county-like facility. My hy musband, a year ago, went into the ER due to an undiagnosed vasculitis. He went twice and had no clue. Finally, he went to Eisenhower, and they had 5 doctors in consult, and the rheumatologist knew what it was, prescribed meds, and was admitted 3 days. The Cancer Center is awesome. Its totally opposite. Clean, consistently great care and awesome staff! I understand the different dynamics between the 2 facilities, but I DO NOT recommend Desert Regional ER and, to a lesser extent, the hospital itself.
