De Anza Historical Park - (CA)

5 /5 Gary Loeffler: Love to visit this park couple times a year. The sound of water flowing in the creek and the birds singing in the trees takes you away on a good meditation.

5 /5 Cynthia E: Moments of serenity just steps away from the San Mateo Public Library and Downtown San Mateo. Twittering birds, chattering squirrels, and a creek that is important to the human history of the area. Beautiful bay laurels and oak trees line the creek.

4 /5 Casey Atkins: Quiet shady spot alongside running water. Youre likely to see ducks swimming up and down the stream. Theres a historical marker here and the park runs along one side of Arroyo Court in a charming little residential neighborhood just off of El Camino Real. There arent really any amenities at this park such as bathrooms, garbage cans, or even park benches and the paths can get muddy after a recent rain. Sadly Ive seen plastic bottles and small trash piles in the park randomly strewn among the trees or the banks of the stream.

4 /5 Linda Braudy: This is just a tiny place along a small river. I never knew it existed. The people who live across the street are lucky to be near such a tranquil place. Its a quiet area with a historical significance.
