5 /5 Sara Goforth: So beautiful. The pictures don’t do it justice. And right when I thought the sun had set, here comes the real sun; ready to set. The false setting sun was just a reflection.

5 /5 Doug King: Beautiful overlook with limited parking (maybe 10-15 spots). The lookout platform is a short walk from the parking area and faces north toward Crescent City. The Coastal Trail passes through here. There is a small grassy area with (old) picnic tables.

Its gorgeous when the sun is out and even in a storm! The roar of the waves crashing methodically makes this beach a perfect place for mediation and inner reflexion. It will never disappoint!

We ventured onto several trails, each offering its own unique charm and breathtaking scenery. Along the way, we encountered a diverse array of wildlife, including sea lions, elk, birds, seals, and so much more. It was truly an incredible experience.

5 /5 Francis Delapaz: Nice spot with a beautiful view of the coast. Visited on a weekday morning after checking out of the Lighthouse Inn so I was there by myself. There are some picnic tables up there as well if you want to chill/eat up there. I just pulled out my guitar and played some songs at what felt like the edge of the world. Recommend stopping by here on your way to Crescent City or southbound from the city.

Allan Ruyters: My favorite grove in the entire Redwood State/National Park system. Its so clean and tidy, it almost looks like someone comes in at the end of the day and sweeps/cleans up lol. Just immaculate looking, from the deep red redwood straw on the paths, the dense growth of redwood sorrel around the trees, the regal looking redwood trees look so healthy and proud, its just an utterly amazing place! You can also walk down to the Smith River to get some nice open skies and expansive views. Very flat area, easy for all ages and abilities to walk around. I could have spent hours here just enjoying the sounds of nature, it is such a peaceful and relaxing place. The parking lot is small and fills up quickly, so getting there early is advisable.

Corrine K: Be the best kind of tourist and learn about Lake Tahoe when you visit! This museum is very interesting and has all sorts of explanations about the items they have on display. Diane was super friendly and incredibly informative, she really went above and beyond for us. Highly recommend.

USDA Forest Service Taylor Creek Visitor Center - South Lake Tahoe

Jennifer Corning: Always visit here when in the area. The rainbow trail is easy and is scenic. No salmon in October this year, which is a big part of why we went now. Oh well, still a pretty place to visit. This place gets very busy, so go early to find parking and possibly smaller crowds. We went at 9am on a Friday and it was pretty busy. There are bathrooms here as well.

Van Sickle Bi-State Park - South Lake Tahoe

Raymond Tuyn: Great trail.took like 45minutes from Target parking lot to get to water fall. Great view point along the way. Pretty much all up hill. Still ice near fall. ✌️✌️Dog friendly.

Fallen Leaf Lake -

Karina Mojica: This lake is definitely a hidden Haven, you can find a waterfall if you drive all the way down. We stopped at the campgrounds, which are beautiful. You just have to walk down to the lake. Keep in mind there is a fee to enter the campground, when you get there, the scenery is just amazing and calm. Its definitely a lake to visit and I also found the hidden swing. Which was a plus! The water is definitely cold. But nice to just take chairs, drinks, snacks and hang out.Please be respectful and pete got back to yourself.

Tallac Historic Site - South Lake Tahoe

Prosun Roy: Great place to see the Baldwin Estate, the Pope Estate and the Valhalla Estate, all built in early 1900s. Also a great place to enough the lake, take a walk or ride a bike thru the woods. A small Museum awaits the curious visitors. Restrooms and Parking available.

Pacific Crest Gallery - South Lake Tahoe

Janey Melczarek: Nice gallery with beautiful things BUT dont fall for the well ship it to you for your convenience ploy. We bought an bulky item (April 23rd) and they said theyd ship it to us for a nominal fee. Ok, we bought the item, paid the shipping fee and expected it to be shipped to us in the next few days. NOPE. We returned home and waited but didnt receive the item. Called 10 days later and Oh sorry, didnt realize the owner never ordered your item. The owner has had a nasty fall and has been out but shell take care of it tomorrow - ok no problem. Waited some more and still no delivery. Called again and advised that we still hadnt received the item - Oh it just shipped out - ok but feel that we should get our shipping fee refunded since its been such a delay - Ok, well send you a check for the shipping on May 20th. Its now June 12th and still no reimbursement has been received. Wont answer our phone call - so a review it is. Sad, we tried to work with the merchant but a customer should only have to do so much to get their purchase and to expect a little bit of customer service.
