06-2025 Van Sickle Bi-State Park in Hight rate 19 location for tourist in South Lake Tahoe, CA, USAPacific Crest Gallery - South Lake Tahoe Janey Melczarek: Nice gallery with beautiful things BUT dont fall for the well ship it to you for your convenience ploy. We bought an bulky item (April 23rd) and they said theyd ship it to us for a nominal fee. Ok, we bought the item, paid the shipping fee and expected it to be shipped to us in the next few days. NOPE. We returned home and waited but didnt receive the item. Called 10 days later and Oh sorry, didnt realize the owner never ordered your item. The owner has had a nasty fall and has been out but shell take care of it tomorrow - ok no problem. Waited some more and still no delivery. Called again and advised that we still hadnt received the item - Oh it just shipped out - ok but feel that we should get our shipping fee refunded since its been such a delay - Ok, well send you a check for the shipping on May 20th. Its now June 12th and still no reimbursement has been received. Wont answer our phone call - so a review it is. Sad, we tried to work with the merchant but a customer should only have to do so much to get their purchase and to expect a little bit of customer service.
Lake Tahoe Sign - Nelida Safrit: There isn’t much parking there, so we chose to take photos while driving by.
Lake Tahoe Harbor - South Lake Tahoe Nina Brown: Such a cute little beach tucked in the side of a resort. There are ski places, water activities, food, and more, all within a 2 minute walk! Wheelchair accessible!
Emerald Bay State Park - Nikolai Mannsfeld: You MUST stop at this beautiful lake during the daytime! The lake was amazing and we loved the waterfalls and trails they had in order to see the lake! The water was like glass, so completely clear, a good amount of parking spots. They did have a good viewing area as well with more parking and space for views. Overall, if you are looking for amazing water and views, go here. A must visit!
Glen Alpine Falls - South Lake Tahoe Thu Nguyen: I love waterfalls and just heard about this waterfall a couple of days ago. It was beautiful and not crowded! The roads were rough and very narrow but it was like a scenic drive as the lake is on one side of the road. We parked very near the waterfall and only had to walk a couple hundred feet to get there. It was literally by the road and easy accessible, no need to hike. Surprisingly we went today, on the Memorial Day weekend but it wasn’t crowded at all, probably because it tucked away in a remote but not touristy area. It was more beautiful than the Eagle Falls by Emerald Bay.
Magic Carpet Golf - South Lake Tahoe Roxanne Bussell: Super fun!!! Went on a Monday afternoon, not busy!!
28 holes for $18 and some pretty challenging!!!
They also have a 9 hole course as well
Staff was amazing and plenty of parking.
Inspiration Point (Emerald Bay) - Truong Sam: Amazing views of Emerald Bay, absolutely breathtaking! Came here after visiting South Lake Tahoe, but be careful driving coming from the east. You’ll be driving on the lake view side near some cliffs with no guard rails and the roads were winding. Drive slow and be safe! There’s also a small creek running through this area and pretty cool to hear the water running. No one there to collect the fee, but it was like $10 which we placed in an envelope and dropped into a box slot.
South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena - South Lake Tahoe Todd Anglin: One of few NHL sized rinks left in the state. Great venue with without areas RapidShot trainer, food/beverages, and fun light up atmosphere. We came off season and our daughter was thrilled to be able to work on moves without a ton of people everywhere!
Tahoe Trout Farm - South Lake Tahoe Rich Hutton: This place is a gem. Highlight of the week for us actually. Great for kids and adults - you could easily spend $750-$1000 for a fishing charter on the lake but if you want to keep it simple or have young kids who need room to run around and save money, this is the spot. We caught 4 monster trout, zero skill required and the staff were awesome with our kids. If you’re looking for something to do in the summer, don’t miss out on this place.
