1 /5 George R: My wife was experiencing skyrocketing blood pressure. We are talking 195/125.
The public is often told to avoid the emergency room, the cost and the wait and go to your nearest urgent care center BEFORE going to any emergency room.. Well, thatās exactly what we did. Desperate to find answers and some sort of solution. We were immediately told at the front desk by Kristine that all they would be able to do is simply take her blood pressure period. I absolutely couldnāt believe that there was nothing else they can do.
What a great way to drive business away from your location telling a patient an entire laundry list of things that they CANNOT do.
I donāt blame Kristine as she is simply the representative at the front desk and she was cordial. And I do appreciate the heads up in advance. As I said to her, so there is no way Iām going to let my insurance company pay this facility $300 to $500 for this visit and all you can do is take blood pressure.
I post this so others that are experiencing life-threatening skyrocketing blood pressuressimply do not waste your time in going to this urgent care center. There is absolutely nothing they can do.
Possibly, I am wrong, but I think that something needs to be addressed here. As a result of this, we will never set foot for any procedure at this facility.
