1 /5 Andy Stockglausner: **UPDATE AGAIN**
They stuck me with the pathetic Dr Niraj V. Parekh again and the experience was worse than the 1 star experience I had the first time. Based on other negative reviews Ive seen of this place, this is a common practice for this poor excuse for a doctor.
Dr. Parekh in Murrieta, CA, is an embarrassment to the entire profession of cardiology. I saw him once, about a year ago, and he was so horrible that the office promised that Id never have to see him again. Somehow they booked me with him again this time and he was actually worse, which I didnt think was possible. I have a history of heart failure and he dismissed every concern I had and laughed at me and said "that’s not my problem" when I talked about having chest pains. Yes, a CARDIOLOGIST told someone with a history of heart failure describing chest pains that it wasnt his problem that its my primary care doctors problem. Because my calcium scan score was low, a test that he didnt order, he couldnt care less about my chest pains. I explained the reason I had concerns about and thats when he told me it wasnt his problem, literally, that is a direct quote, no BS.
He did a 2 second listen to my heart, I mean literally 2 seconds, no exaggeration, I think he was just checking a box.
He laughed at my concerns and said "weve been through this before, man". Thats an exact quote. Im assuming he was talking about the last time he blew me off and insulted me.
I told the office to make sure his appointment notes show that someone with a history of heart failure complained of chest pains and he said it wasnt a problem. That way, if I drop dead from a heart attack at least my wife can sue him for malpractice.
If you have an appointment with Cardiology Specialists in Murrieta, Im telling you, tell them you will not see this guy. Hes a pathetic doctor. Ive seen a lot of doctors in my life and Dr. Niraj V. Parekh is by far the worst. Its not even close. He shouldnt even be practicing medicine with a pathetic bedside manner like that. Ill be writing reviews about him in as many places as I can find.
The staff at this office has always been great. But Dr. Niraj V. Parekh is dragging the place down.
**UPDATE**
In the end the new doctor ended up being good and Im happy with the office overall.
**UPDATE 2/8/23*
After seeing my review the office called me and was very nice and is working to see if I can see a different doctor in the office. Everyone I dealt with there BESIDES the specific doctor I saw was great, it was just the doctor had no interest in my condition.
I will update the review accordingly after my next visit.
They completely blew me off. I had CHF in 2005 at the age of 29. I recently had some symptoms again and during my appointment the doc couldnt have been less interested. He said "If your heart was going bad again you would know it". My primary doc referred me to get an echocardiogram, which I used to get annually. The cardiologist said "We can do one, but we wont contact you unless something is wrong."
I saw during my echo that my EF was below 50%, which is 15% lower than my previous echo. I had to follow up and call the office and they wouldnt book a follow up appointment and told me that doctor said "50% EF, normal echo.
They didnt care what I had to say and the doctor didnt listen to me and seemed annoyed that he even had to see me. If you can find another doctor you should instead of going to these guys.
