A+ Psychlone Computers: Were not sure how to "tidepool", so we cant fault the place for it.
What I can say is that down the left side are lots of small, shallow pools with little creatures like tiny crabs & small fish. And down the right side are TONS of pebbles and sand with some tide pools out just a little further.
Both sides have great views though!
Joseph Dutko: We stayed across the street from the marina and enjoyed walking around and seeing some of the sights in this beautiful city. There are great beaches, there were some Redwoods, very photogenic area. Enjoyed our stay, many restaurants, great people and very scenic would like to come back and take in more of the area.
Ed Tubridy: Interesting hike to the nearby lake. When the hike gets into the thick canopy the mosquitos were really bad so you had to keep moving! Interesting area. Recommended but bring some bug spray!
Sara Goforth: So beautiful. The pictures don’t do it justice. And right when I thought the sun had set, here comes the real sun; ready to set. The false setting sun was just a reflection.
Stewart Carnes: I had an awesome time. I showed up when they first opened. It was a great hike along the marked trail. Lots of interesting info and beautiful views. The Canopy Trail up through the trees was lots of fun. I enjoyed the Gondola ride and came back down on the very steep and rugged Wilderness Trail. Overall, a great place for all ages.
Bon Manhkong: This place is magical... Damnation Creek Trail is spectacular spectacular! We saw only 3 people and decided to go all the way to the coast despite the warning signs. So majestic... We caught the sunset bit walked back to the car in total darkness. Totally Worth it!
Allan Ruyters: My favorite grove in the entire Redwood State/National Park system. Its so clean and tidy, it almost looks like someone comes in at the end of the day and sweeps/cleans up lol. Just immaculate looking, from the deep red redwood straw on the paths, the dense growth of redwood sorrel around the trees, the regal looking redwood trees look so healthy and proud, its just an utterly amazing place! You can also walk down to the Smith River to get some nice open skies and expansive views. Very flat area, easy for all ages and abilities to walk around. I could have spent hours here just enjoying the sounds of nature, it is such a peaceful and relaxing place. The parking lot is small and fills up quickly, so getting there early is advisable.
