4 /5 Carina Sanchez: I recently completed my pregnancy journey with Dr. Sefa for my second child and wanted to share my experience. I chose Dr. Sefa because he was the only one accepting new patients through my insurance, and I was eager to ensure consistent care throughout my pregnancy.
From my first visit, I was impressed by the kindness and professionalism of the entire staff. They are incredibly friendly and caring, creating a warm and welcoming environment. A special mention goes to Zulema, who consistently went above and beyond to provide excellent care and support.
Dr. Sefa himself is a good doctor and genuinely nice. However, his practice has a high volume of patients, particularly those coming from Mexico. This has led to significant over-scheduling of appointments. On multiple occasions, I found myself waiting for 2-3 hours in the office, only to have the doctor see me for 5 minutes or even less.
A particularly challenging experience occurred when I went into labor. The nurse called Dr. Sefa to inform him I was at the hospital. At 1 pm, the nurse told me I was fully dilated and that we were only waiting for Dr. Sefa. Unfortunately, due to his over-scheduled appointments, he did not arrive until around 4 pm. Those were the most stressful three hours of my life.
While I appreciate the quality of care I received, the long wait times and brief consultations were a source of frustration. I hope that Dr. Sefas practice can address these scheduling issues to provide a more balanced and efficient experience for all patients.
