Rory Iv The reviews aren’t wrong, they’re very nice. But they are not fast. It was a Monday, and nowhere else had an appointment until Thursday. These guys had a Tuesday morning appointment and verified over the phone they’d look at it same day, so I made the annoying trek to San Rafael first thing in the morning. Well, when I got no word from them until Wednesday afternoon I gave them a call. “Oh he’s just looking at it right now, call back in an hour” they say. Infuriating regardless, but I got the sense if I hadn’t called they wouldn’t have even looked at it on Wednesday. The repair process moved at as leisurely a pace as the diagnostic process, with me always just happening to call right as they were finally starting to work on it after sitting on their hands for hours to days. There were some delays that weren’t their fault such as waiting for a part to come in, which I don’t hold against them, but their lack of communication or expediency outside of this was incredibly frustrating and massively inconvenienced me. I’d bet money if I had just waited until the Thursday appointment at another shop my car would have been done sooner.

Ehsan Alipour Great Guys, Great service and very reasonable, I have been going to Marin Car clinic for more than 20 years. I just did my smog and brakes for my Van and they took care of it in a couple of hours and their rate was super reasonable. Highly highly trustworthy and reasonable.

Mike Amazing service! No BS, no up-selling, no unnecessary repair suggestions. This is truly an honest shop that works with you on what you really need done and is very pleasant to work with. I wasnt sure if I needed new brakes. So instead of just putting on new brakes, they took the tires off and showed me I didnt NEED them just yet! They said they were low, but I had a few more miles on my brakes and only rotated my tires as requested. Since its the holidays, money is tight, and this significantly helped my budgets for the month. Im 100% coming back!

Mister Lucky GOOD LOCAL REPAIR SHOP TO KNOW Excellent mechanical repairs as well as certified Smog testing. Just had my A/C replaced in 2 days after another shop took 2 weeks and couldnt get the job done. Kambiz is a man who gets the job done.

Desiree Vaughn I’ve been going to Bellam Auto Repair for years and each time I’ve appreciated the service they provided me. Last month, my oil pan cover was dragging and was close to falling off. I pulled into Bellam Auto Repair and they stopped what they were doing to quickly fix my issue and sent me on my way. Recently, my radiator, which I had installed by Bellam Auto Repair, had started to leak causing my car to overheat and heater/AC to fail— they reminded me of my warranty and fixed it asap! I genuinely appreciate Binh and the other awesome mechanic that works there. Thanks!

David S. ATS is so great! Repaired a number of issues (leakung and inoperable washer fluid, excessive play in steering, very loose gear shifter and funky turn signal lever) with my son’s Ford E350 converted camper van. Some easy fixes and some complicated fixes were all resolved for a fair price and with wonderful service. Suzanne and the mechanic were great to work with - nice, clear and communicative. Perhaps most of all, they earned my trust regarding cost and quality of work.

Patricia Garcia I was a long time customer of Jack Neuhaus, who ran a top notch shop with excellent customer service and expert repairs. The crew at ATS@neuhaus is continuing the tradition. Suzanne is wonderful, and everyone is a total pro. I highly recommend this shop.

luke moix Chau at VN Motors is an excellent mechanic. He is honest, efficient, and economical. Weve used him for almost ten years. He keeps our cars running smoothly, including my 2007 Highlander, which has needed some major work done over the years. The cost is always much less than estimates I get from other garages. And hes a great guy! It is nice to have a mechanic who is very good at what he does that you can trust. We feel lucky to have him.

Martin Henderson Brought it in for a door repair through insurance claim. I asked if they could fill the AC gas as the car was probably out of AC gas because it was year 2009 model. When I picked up the car they said that they checked the pressure of the AC gas and that it was fine. They pressed me into spending $ for a scan saying that summer was close and it’ll get hot. Well now it happens that I just had it checked 3 months later somewhere else and all it needed was some AC gas. There were no leaks or problems, just needed what I asked. I’m giving 3 starts because the door was nicely fixed and service was good. Just wished they were honest about the AC and not have me try to spend more money, or maybe just be honest upfront and say “I need to scan it before I tell you if it needs gas or not”.

Mark Strassman I had a strange noise coming from my car after being repaired at another shop in a different city. I brought it in to DNA late on a Thursday afternoon, without calling first, and DNA took me immediately. They called me the next morning, they gave me a correct estimate at a very reasonable price, and finished it a few hours later. There were no surprises, they didn’t charge me for anything I didn’t need, and delivered the car quickly. This is my first trip to DNA, but it is now my new go to shop.

rando daruler Was very easy and fast. My car was done by the date give even though there was one time use parts that had to get ordered for it, it was still done. Also appreciate the updates on my vehicle, letting me know what work was done and what was next to do. Best part of all was the end result. Looks like nothing happened and looks like it was brought back to new.

Kim Baenisch Fix Auto did a fantastic job repairing some front end damage to my Subaru. Khoa was very thorough in explaining the work needed and he got me a new bumper at cost that fixed my current damage plus an older crunch to it that I had not repaired. He and Barry were pro-active in communicating the status of my car repairs and painting - this is a truly professional team. Their facility is very clean and organized; I was impressed from the moment I brought my car in for an assessment to my pickup a week later. Their cost estimate and final work was clearly documented with all details and parts ordered explained. The front end damage and painting was beautifully done - no one will ever know my car had been damaged!

Tim OBrien I asked around the garages of San Rafael, the Canal, the garages in the auto district. All of them recommended A&C when it came to AC repair. I have been there 2x and both times my expectations were surpassed. Great service. 100% professional shop. Fair prices for work done. I love them. Plus, stop in to see the showroom cars inside!

Free Speechless Gave up on my ac and charged me $1500 for a replacement part that didn’t solve the problem. Went to another mechanic and they diagnosed it as faulty part installed. To give them credit, they covered the cost of the other mechanic’s work.

Amanda Schmieder If I could give more than five stars I would! Pat is not only a great guy personally, but is extremely knowledgeable, professional and did a perfect service on installing my tires. He gave me great advice and options when I was shopping around for new tires for my Mercedes. His prices are competitive and he is able to order and install tires quickly. He will also only charge you for what is needed (e.g, he won’t charge you for an alignment unless he thinks it’s needed). Lastly, I called Pat in a panic that my tire had a nail in it recently and he was able to see me same day, analyze the tire, and even fixed it for free. I have recommended Barr’s Cars to my entire family, friends and now to you too!

Rez Parviz Great shop. If you own a Jag , dont go anywhere else . These guys are the most honest and down to earth guys around . By far the have they best service and the best prices. They will never charge you more than what the actual time involved. Joe and Justin are class acts and Tim is a top shelf machanic .
