5 /5 Edie Gilmore: We love coming to Old Town, and one of our all-time favorite spots has always been the Old Town Tequila Factory Restaurant & Cantina. It’s consistently been a go-to for us. One of the best features of the location is the amazing city views and the ease of parking with the underground garage.
However, during this visit the elevator from the parking area was apparently out of service. We waited quite a while before someone in our group went to ask about it, and we eventually had to walk outside and around to reach the restaurant. Normally that wouldn’t be a problem, but a simple sign noting the elevator was down would have helped, especially since two people in our group have difficulty standing for long periods and walking. I’m not sure whether the elevator is the restaurant’s responsibility, but it did affect our arrival experience.
Once we were seated, the waitstaff were friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I was a little disappointed to learn the Paloma is no longer made with grapefruit juice and is now made with soda, so I ordered something else. The food, though, was fantastic. We ordered a couple of grilled fajita skillets, chicken, steak, and shrimp as well as enchiladas and a Crispy Chicken Quesadilla. Everything came out piping hot and full of flavor. The fajitas come with fiesta rice, your choice of black or refried pinto beans, guacamole, sour cream, Pico de Gallo, and fresh homemade corn or flour tortillas.
Even though we were stuffed, we couldn’t leave without having the Flan. It’s incredibly good, our favorite in all of Old Town.
If you’re looking for friendly waitstaff and a great city view, definitely put the Old Town Tequila Factory Restaurant & Cantina on your list.
