Andre Azzopardi Compass Church is family. I have met so many great people here that are now some of my closest friends! The community has helped change my life and grow my faith towards pursuing God in every aspect of life. As a foreigner from Canada, the members welcomed me with open arms and have shown me Gods grace and love, as well as the staples of San Diego. Could not be more happy to call myself a member!

Jose Hurtado When I was a kid I used to be part of the Awanas group. The fun I had taught me a lot of essential social skills and the sports activities kept me in shape. Every now and then there is a open to the public barbaque or performance like a magician or acrobats. I have not been part of the worship community, but I can see how the community this church creates has a positive impact on my neighborhood. Five stars.

Frances Wu This church has been so helpful in helping me dive deeper into Gods word more intently and in helping me hold Gods word highly in my own life and in others lives! It is committed to the building up of its members and is focused on giving glory solely to God. Every event has some type of teaching of Gods word, and the different fellowship opportunities that are available makes the life of the church so fun to be a part of! I have clearly seen the love of God displayed at this church and I am so glad to call myself a member of this church.

Carolyn Hunt I just came from an awesome Black History performance at Grace Covenant Christian Church of the Harvest. If you were not there. Please order the DVD. Our senior pastor Apostle David Watkins was amazing. Okay everything was. This is a worship experience you cant get enough of. If you love having the family experience then you will truly love this atmosphere. I have experienced many churches through the years, but this one always make me long for Sunday mornings service and the Thursday Bible Study. On Tuesdays I can just lay all my caress at the altar and feel much better. There is something for all ages. I hope to see you there.

unBoxed Super warm, hospitable, caring church. Message- encouraging, practical, talks of real relationship with God. You have to try it. Definitely will return. I can see their eyes were just so sincere and like that theres families there. And all ages. Beautiful people. They sang a song at the close of service that was about unity and helping others. I like whats encouraged here. And I like that they care to know you, your needs. Ive never felt so welcomed like this. I feel they really take care to detail and I feel want to be a place of excellence. Im glad i tried it

ERICA SMITH When I first visited Grace Covenant I was in desperate need of a church home. I had just given my life to Jesus but needed somewhere special to serve him. I was attending The Rock but not connected to it. I missed the closeness of a real "Church Home" and real praise & worship. I immediately felt loved and welcomed when I stepped into Grace. The genuine love of everyone drew me in but the praise & worship kept me there. I found a place to plant my feet and grow my roots. It has been 7 years I came to Grace on a Tuesday night prayer, and I now am raising my children in this Holy Ghost filled, God fearing, praise & worship lifting Church Home.

Hannah I walked about five miles from downtown San Diego to attend a service there when I was in a pretty unfortunate situation. Pastor greeted me right after service and made me feel accepted. They let me choose a Bible and offered me food when I had nothing to eat and even gave me bus fare so I didnt have to walk all the way back to downtown San Diego. I was sad to leave but God was calling me elsewhere.

Abraham Cheung I attended Lighthouse Bible Church for six years. Im so thankful for the leaders and the members for constantly holding fast to the truth of the gospel! At the end of the six years, it was hard to leave the church. (I moved away to begin graduate school.) I definitely miss the teaching, fellowship, common heart for evangelism. I still look back with thankfulness and joy. Praise God for an awesome 6 years. I wouldnt have it any other way.

My life has forever changed by learning from the late Pastor Ray via streamed services and his Step Into the Story series, which is now hosted by his son Pastor Daniel Bentley which is a pure joy. The worship team is a delight. The music hits my soul and brings such joy to my life. Kayla and Jimmy who lead are outstanding in their talent. Kayla’s voice is heavenly. If you’re looking for a new church, please come and visit Maranatha. It’s an extraordinary community with many events to feel closer connected to the Lord, each other and offers so much foundational support and strength for this day and age. I have been forever transformed and found my home. God answered my prayers and can do the same for you. All around 5+ stars and beyond. Marilou Hobrock No, I have not visited Grace City Church! I give it five stars because "Church" means something! Church came first and was spread before a all 73 books were made canon! Am I articulating correctly? One, holy, apostolic, Catholic Church! Grace means undeserved gift, help and the life of God!!!! You get to go to heaven if you are in a state of grace. Our Lady of Good Success, triumph, reign, and help the congregation see that you are Theotokos!

P Harris Great new church. Casual atmosphere. Sort of a mix of Baptist and non-denominational. Lots of young adults. Pastor is a good Bible teacher that adds in humor, stories and illustrations; I enjoy him! Members worked together and gave the community a wonderful outdoor service and carnival.

Emily Collard Where to begin! My husband and I moved to San Diego August of 2020. It was nerve wracking to be moving to a new place amidst COVID and the isolation that it brings. We attended King’s Cross our first weekend here and fell in love! The hospitality of this church is amazing. We instantly felt connected and a part of a community. They do a wonderful job staying on top of COVID regulations and do what they can to keep people safe. The teachings are straight from scripture and Pastor Obed always provides historical context to help the church body understand the words more deeply. We spend time during service actually reading through chapters of the Bible as a church and not just skimming through verses here and there. The messages are so rich and biblically sound. We love that Pastor Obed always emphasizes that we are “a church family on mission with Jesus!”. We truly feel like we found family here in San Diego. P.S. The views you get at this outdoor church aren’t too bad either! :-)

CHRIS OMALLEY Great small friendly church. Come as you are, wear flip flops and shorts and fit right in! Pastor Steve is a great speaker and the messages are relevant for today. You wont feel lost, definitely NOT a "megachurch".

Wanda Brothers Flood is a wonderful church with a passion for making the world a better place instead of being self-righteous and telling people how they should live. Its quite refreshing and the pastoral staff are wonderful human beings. I highly recommend this church. They set up a wonderful family experience for Easter including bunnies to pet and a wonderful flower backdrop to take Easter pictures to post

Green Lisa (Banana Beans) I was going and giving $ for 10 years and could not connect with any members except for one who reached out. Going to the moms groups I was ostracized because I was going through a divorce the other moms made me feel like I had the plague. When I was going through a difficult time with my kids health, I tried to reach out to the pastor I was pretty much ignored. I think if youre a college student you would really like this place if youre single mom, I dont think so. I think Ive given up on churches after that experience.

I went to my first Christmas collective event this year and I was blown away with how upbeat and friendly everyone I interacted with was! This is a relaxed and informative church that welcomes you in wherever you are in your path with God. They truly follow the way of God by meeting you where you are at and helping you grow in your personal relationship with God and grow in community with not just church members but also the community of San Diego! Also I personally have joined and have been participating in the Floods Young Adult group and I have had an awesome experience so far with weekly meetings on Wednesday’s and a super fun retreat we went on this past November! I hope that God blesses this family of a church in their transition to a new building and to continue their amazing contributions to spread the love of God by being a movement of Hope and Healing!

I look forward to it every week Sermon: 3/5 The pastor is awesome and a very relational person. He has a kind heart and I like him for that. The sermon, however, leans more on speculation than on the interpretations commonly agreed upon by Biblical scholars and normal people who read the Bible. Id say some interpretation here would be considered somewhat unbiblical (eg. Abraham and Sarahs bidding war scheme in Egypt) To me, sermon and biblical teaching is the most important, thus I rate it entirely off of it. Besides that, if you want great community, great worship music, and a loving pastor, this truly is a wonderful church!
