Kristy Tran Very bad bad services. I called in to make appointment for my son with Ben. The front desk confirmed the appointment with Ben. But when my son came for the haircut appointment with Ben, they gave him to another old lady. They cheated, Ben was there but gave my son to an old lady. Ben salon isn’t a place to have any services. I do not recommend. Unfriendly and rude. Don’t do what customers wanted. My son was 15 years old so they think they can cheated him. Very very regret use Ben Salon services. Do not come here.

Nancy Chang Got a hot perm and it’s only been a day, but I like it! Hair doesn’t feel crunchy or damaged, and Ben fit me in despite closing soon, so I am grateful. The hair wash was very thorough and relaxing, and Ben discussed with me my desired look. Am pleased with the size of curls, despite being worried at first they’d come out looking small because of the size of the rods. In total, it took about 2.5 hours. Great perm service!

Tram Le This place is hard to spot because it’s hidden next to Cao Nguyen restaurants where Pho21 plaza is. I showed Ben 3 color shades that I wanted and mentioned I don’t want to bleach my hair so he recommended this base on my current hair color. Mai and Bich did my hair color and the results came out just how I wanted it. I love it! The hair wash by Mai was soooo relaxing especially with the minty tingling feeling. She did a little head massage while washing my hair and she’s so good it’s way better than others placed where I went to for head-spa. I also had hair treatments done and a trim and the results are amazing. I have been to other salon and normally I don’t come back but I’ll be back here again. The most important is the result it’s worth the price.

Ariel Nguyen This place is alright. When I first came here, I had long thick hair and needed a haircut of about 5 inches. I feel as if the worker didnt take too much time on my hair as I hoped, especially since the cost ended to be about $20+. Mid way during my haircut, there were these two other women needing their hair to be washed so then the worker left me and went to do those ladies hairs which took about 20 minutes of me waiting! I was furious because I didnt pay to getting some of my hair cut then wait for twenty minutes and I also had to go somewhere soon!

arleth leon Not much of a good haircut, but my main problem is the color of my hair doesnt match the top to the bottom nor look professional. Paid $240 for this and trusted them with my hair even after they told me it would get "better & lighter" I tried addressing this situation with the stylist but instead got told that it is my fault for not telling her exactly what I wanted even though I showed her an image. I couldve done a better job myself. My experience here to keep it short and simple. Had to wait 30 minutes or so past my appointment time. Hair dresser continued to cut two other cuts and then began mine. During the process she had many calls here and there and stopped during as well. She also asked me to move and had me wait in the sitting area while she cut someone else’s hair while my hair was foiled. I can go on to be more specific but to me this is not okay. Not good customer service at all. Expected better. Please save your time and money. Images shown are before and after.

Joshua Weston I just called to ask about services provided and to possibly schedule a visit to get my hair bleached and styled. The person that answered asked if I speak spanish - when I responded that Im only able to speak English I was hung up on with no further explanation. Literally, I said I wanted to ask about services they provide - they asked if I speak spanish - and upon responding I didnt I was hung up on. This is not me saying that all businesses need to speak English - but rather just hanging up on me the way they did... I am glad Im not giving them any money.

Robert Salcido Jr. This has been my go-to place for centuries. The ladies and gents usually do a wonderful job on my sons and my hair. (Im thinning out now, so I dont go as often for myself.)

Every month I walk out with the perfect color and healthy hair feeling happy and confident. LV Beauty Bar is gorgeous! It is my happy place- I can relax with my favorite beverage while Maria and her team take amazing care of me. The products she recommends are incredible! She knows exactly what to prescribe to keep my hair looking it’s best between visits. If you are ready to be pampered by the best- LV beauty bar is the place to be.

Abi P My mom went in to get her hair done and it took two Asian ladies four hours to do her hair. Its as if they were practicing on her head. They janked and pulled her hair so much that it made her head hurt and burn real bad. Then a third lady showed up to "help" them but it only made things worse. They washed her hair and gave her a whole shower in the process. After four hours of enduring painful mistreatment and bad service, she left and told them she will NEVER go back there again. Worse experience of her life. We do NOT recommend this place.

Kerstin Belnap Finally, found someone who cut my hair exactly as I asked! I highly recommend Veronica. I explained what I wanted and she gave me what I asked for!! And at a very reasonable price. For the first time in a long time I am not wearing a scarf to hide under until my hair grows out. The salon is very clean and everyone there was polite and welcoming.

Ive added photos, the new location is just a block from the old one, and is amazing! 2017: My daughter and I have been coming to Debbie for over 6 years, and well keep coming! Clean salon, no issues with street parking in Japantown. Prices are very reasonable, which has allowed me and my daughter flexibility to experiment -- natural colors for me, and vibrant primary colors for my 13 yr old. Shes always open to feedback, and works hard to meet our expectations. Weve both had long hair, and very short styles. Atmosphere is professional, but casual; not pretentious. They have complete lines of products for purchase, and theres a nail station now, as well (I havent tried the nail tech, so I dont know about those services or prices). Generally things run on schedule -- of course any salon can back up when clients are late, so if youre in a hurry, let her know at the start of your appt -- Ive always been accommodated as requested. I always set my next appt before leaving, so Im not sure how far in advance you should book. If I have a want-it-now need (or more likely my daughter) she can generally take me the same week. Love Debbie, love the other ladies, too, as they can tag team if were in a hurry!

Kevin Yi The most Ive felt cared for this decade! My first haircut in a while was very liberating; the stylist paid attention to detail and even washed/waxed my hair after. Amazing service. The facility was very clean and I felt safe. The stylist sanitized everything between use and took good precautions. I would highly recommend booking an appointment now that SCC approved reopening of approved businesses.

Amy T. She did a good job cutting my hair but at the end she raised all my hair in the back and decided to just buzz it off. She did say it looks messy. She didnt even ask me. Happened so fast and I couldnt even tell her to stop. Dont know what she was thinking. I had medium length hair and I sometimes tie it back. She had long hair at the time and I am sure she ties her hair back. When you buzz it off and it starts growing out, you cant tie it. Whenever I tie my hair I had short stubby hairs stickying out to the sides. It took me awhile to write this cause I wanted to calm myself down before I leave this review. After a whole 6 months, I am still unhappy with this owner.

Clean and hygienic. There was a slight wait time but there were girardelli chocolates and water, magazines to keep you occupied! Please tip well :D

Jamileth Gomez I’m giving this place a one star only because I had to in order to write this. Girls do not get your hair cut at this place. I got a hair cut at this place and it has been the most horrible haircut of my life. It was the day before my birthday and I cried every day every timeI looked on the mirror. My head looked like a mushroom with awful layers on the top and a tail. I had to go to a different place and pay $70 to get my hair fixed. If they do not know how to give girls a decent haircut, they should be honest and say that they don’t cut women’s hair. Hair is the frame of a woman and without it, we lose our self-esteem. I would ask for my money back but that won’t take away the horrible way I’ve felt since then. I won’t say her name but if she reads this I hope she does better next time she cuts a woman’s hair. I can’t imagine how she’s stayed in business for so long. Perhaps her customers don’t care about their appearance or maybe she messed up my hair on purpose.

Emily Hering Angelica at Angelica’s Aesthetics has never disappointed! After my waxing lady changed careers, I was on the hunt for someone I could trust with my eyebrows. After weeks of searching, Angelica popped up on my Instagram feed and I’ve never looked back. Her services are phenomenal and always consistent. Parking is a bit funky here, but there’s a lot around back that’s shared with the apartment complex with spots specifically for Sola Salon patrons.
