Robert Stutson I went to this place twice. First time I went there the lady was doing someone hair, however she never once asked me if I needed service or she was booked today. Second, it took her 4 minutes to say anything to me. And when she finally did she said, she was closed while doing a customer hair. I truly felt like this business doesnt like African American people. The only reason I went there its close to my new apartment. Every hair salon and barber have went to will all greet you with a hello and ask what service youre looking for Immediately. And if you dont speak English every place I been has at least one person that does speak English. If you have a Establishment/Business in you dont have one person that speaks English, youve already showed that youre a racist. At the end of the day this is America-USA.

ML Aguilar Micaela is the owner and she is such a wonderful person to talk to. I came in for a quick cut and she was super accommodating and she left my hair soft, shiny and bouncy.

Dee Ochoa My experience was so Amazing. Kim was so good n inviting. It was my 1st time & Ill be back for sure.

Sheryl Bruce Love this salon! Donn is the best! I wouldnt trust anyone else with my hair. He is a wizard with color!

Emily Del Toro Stefani at the front desk is very sweet and informational. It was my first time in this salon toda. I did get a last minute haircut with Donn. He rocks! He’s knows what he’s doing! Safe to say I trust him with my hair from here on out! My hair is wavy and thick and he gave me a beautiful haircut. They have also just changed ownership and the new owner opened a head spa upstairs. Stefani was kind enough to give me a walk through and WOW… you feel as if you’re going into a new state of relaxation. I’m going to go back myself to try it out. I did grab a flyer and she said 20 % off first time visit. Info is on their IG. This is actually the only head spa in LB ladies… I highly recommend checking it out for the ultimate we very much need to pamper ourselves sometimes. I’ll let all my family and friends know too!

Patricia Pagel Wheeler Leland is a master at his craft. I’ve never found anyone that compares. After going to Leland for well over 20 years he’s perpetually building his knowledge about hair, products and the science behind great color. Currently he’s helping me gracefully transition to gray and I couldn’t be happier. I have curly hair but like the option to go straight. Leland knows how to cut my hair so it looks amazing both ways and uses keratin treatments that allow me to go curly without the frizz and straight while taming the effects of humidity. Leland has a great sense of humor, an easy going style and he’ll be honest about what will work for your hair. He’s an absolute gem.

Greta Sievert The JWG salon is very comfortable. All the stylists I’ve seen at work there do a great job for their clients. My Amiga & stylist extraordinaire Claudia is gifted at color & cuts. She’s also so charming and cute with her Latina hippie chic style that she’s far too young to remember. If your looking for a change of salon, try it out. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Amanda Stansbery I’ve been seeing Leland for 5 years now. I absolutely love him and his work. My hair always looks amazing after seeing him. He knows how to cut curly hair and if anyone has curly hair, you know how hard it is to find a stylist that knows how to take care of it. I get my hair colored and cut with him. I receive so many compliments on my hair color. I highly recommend him if you’re looking for a new stylist.

Perica Bell I have been coming to Class of Elegance for almost two years now. Since my first visit in Nov 2022, Monique has taken excellent care of my hair. Her level of professionalism continues to be top notch, starting and ending her appointments on time. She is extremely knowledgeable and patiently answers questions and provides recommendation on how to care for your hair between visits. I know I’m in good hands in her seat— she provides a consistent experience and quality each time— whether I’m styling my natural hair or doing braids/weaves/color treatments. She does it all and is skilled.

Mariah Mitchell Mellor Monique was AMAZING. I’ve had a few horror stories with stylist but as soon as I talked to her to book I felt so comfortable and confident that she would do a great job handling my hair with care. Ive looked for a stylist in my area for years and am so greatful I found her. 1000/10 would recommend!!

Aijah Brunson I have been going to Class of Elegance for over 10 years. I’ve gotten many hairstyles with Ms. Monique, the shop’s owner. The styles I’ve personally received range from wash & condition, coloring, box braids, cornrows, press & flat iron, haircuts, bangs, as well as individual braid styles. There’s a reason I’ve stayed consistent with Class of Elegance — Ms. Monique is the best! She not only does beautiful hairstyles, but she takes pride in helping her clients maintain healthy hair. She takes the time to get to know her clients, their hair type, and what is best for their hair. She is also very professional, and runs her business very well. I would hands down recommend Class of Elegance to anyone. 10/10 service

MARIA BARRERA Wanted my short hair trimmed all the same length, Morena did a horrible, horrible job, layered hair on the back and only on one side, did the sides length so uneven and pointed at the front, left a big hollow spot close to my ears on both sides. Totally not what I asked for, definitely not going back ever again

Chris Gomez Good job on hair dye and haircuts. So poor on customer service. Long wait and preference on regular customers over new customers. Ana is rude and disrespectful. I call to make and appointment and since I am not a regular customer she put me on hold and then hang up on me. So rude!

Jill Brown Fitness I love it so much I travel an hour from L.A. to get my hair done here. I started wearing tape in extensions a few years ago and many of the stylists at both Sage Salons (4th St & Argonne) are experienced in extensions. If you have any questions about which stylist will be best for you, Susan will help you find the right person for your hair. Both salons are welcoming, clean, cozy and beautifully decorated. I’ve had nothing but wonderful experiences here and that’s why I keep coming back year after year.

Emma Ries I have never been to this salon, but I am writing a review for stylist Laura Fogwell. I saw Laura for 10 years in Cincinnati, OH up until her move to Long Beach. Over the years, she has worked with me to find hair styles and colors that I love. On top of being a talented stylist, she is personable and truly cares about her clients. She is already greatly missed in Cincinnati!

Kat C Big shoutout to @hairbyflower for working her magic on my hair! Spent a solid 8 hours with her, and let me tell you, it was worth every minute. Went from long and black to (check out pic). Flowers not just insanely talented, shes also the sweetest soul youll ever meet. She listened, she cared, and she made sure my hair turned out exactly how I wanted it. Perfection achieved! So, if youre on the hunt for a hair guru wholl give you the royal treatment, look no further than Flower. Trust me, you wont be disappointed!

Kyvalee Nguyen A bit of a delayed review but I went to Janet back in January for a hair cut. I found her thanks to a friend recommending her to me and also finding out she did my mom’s wedding hair. It was so easy to book an appointment and come the next day to be welcome by her and her mother. They make you feel so welcome and the atmosphere is so calm and relaxing. Janet does amazing work with cutting hair and I love the way she layered my hair for a wolf cut. It still looks so good even after half a year of growing it out again, the layers still look so good. I would definitely come here again to get anything done to my hair.

A. I asked for her to trim my bangs, and she thinned them out instead. I look like Im balding, and no matter what I do, it just looks awful. This is the best their gonna get.

Jordan Sanchez Cherry Blossom Hair Studio exceeded my expectations for a blowout experience. From the moment I stepped into the salon, I was greeted with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Janet transformed my hair into a flawless and voluminous blowout. She left my hair stunning, incredibly soft, and manageable. Her and her mom are so sweet! Cant recommend this place enough.

Penny Silviera Bright and airy but cozy atmosphere. Very comfortable and the staff are skilled and welcoming. Brandie is my stylist and she always gives me a fantastic precision cut. I know several people that go to her specifically for coloring and she does an amazing job.

Lourdes Reyes Ballard Root Parlour is a vibe!! I love the decor and welcoming atmosphere. Ive had my hair done by Shelby for over 5 years now. Each time I leave, my hair feels and looks amazing. I highly recommend Shelby and this salon. All the hair stylists do an amazing job too.

Dalena Vasquez Love love Root Parlor! I’ve been getting my hair (cut and color) done by Shelby for the past 13 years! She’s a master in her craft and true artist. Love her! Service at her salon is amazing and has the best vibes. High recommend checking them out.

Farrah Vaughan Sky is the ABSOLUTE best, hands down. I look forward to my appointments all the time! The salon is very nice! New floors, beautiful salon chairs, the entire ambiance is amazing. She gives the best washes, too! Im very meticulous about my hair, and Ms. Sky doesnt miss a beat! My hair has never been healthier and I get constant compliments when I get it done. Shes fast, efficient, and a true sweetheart. So very glad I found this gem. If youre looking for a reliable stylist in Long Beach, look no further! 5 star all the way.

Jake Get my locks done here. Sky is a very nice and professional woman. She is always working to make sure her clients are pleased and she does an amazing job. Started coming to her because I wasnt pleased with the last woman who was doing my hair. Sky always gets my hair on point and would recommend to anyone looking to get there locks maintained or started.

He made my first appointment with him an incredible experience. i had never gotten a curly haircut before and this is the beginning of my journey learning how to care for my hair. Dustin went above and beyond in his work, as someone who loves knowing what’s going on he walked me through every step of the process and empowered me with the tools to be able to style and care for my hair. just i CANNOT speak higher praises. i cannot wait for my next appointment and yeah! 10/10 recommend Dustin and if you’re looking for a stylist he is everything and more!

Alexis Martin Since finding Dustin, I ALWAYS look forward to a haircut to refresh my hair. Like with most people on the curly hair spectrum, I used to dread haircuts. I already struggled with styling and managing my hair, and when stepping into salons, the request to cut curly hair would often feel treated as a fun experiment. For years, I’d leave salons feeling disappointed and self-conscious. After coming to Dustin over the past 2 years, I’ve genuinely turned a corner with my relationship to my hair. He connects with his clients authentically, and made an often stressful experience one I can relax and feel confident in. I feel completely heard when it comes to my hair concerns, and comfortable asking questions or for advice on styling and techniques to better manage my hair by myself. Jennifer Fassoth I am so happy with my salon services by Dustin. He really is the curl expert. The way he cut my hair and also showed me how to style correctly to enhance my specific type of curl has me embracing my natural hair. I don’t need to battle with straightening tools anymore. Highly recommend!

Jennifer Lentz Linh at Waves Studio Hair Salon is the best! She asks the right questions to make sure I always get exactly the cut I want! She also gives her professional opinion when I’m not sure. I have been going to Linh for over 6 years now and have never had a bad cut. I actually found her because someone else had given me the WORST cut ever and she was able to fix it! Linh is great at knowing just how to give me a cut that is best for my face as well as for my lifestyle. She’s a great listener and ensures you get a great cut that is exactly what you want.
