Morgan Walker I called to book an appointment with someone who is good with curly hair and the women I spoke to recommended I book with Aliyah Koya. She seemed nice at the start but I asked her to do a blow out on my hair and she was going so fast she kept hitting me in the head with the blow dryer multiple times and was yanking on my hair. She also left my roots curly and was and frizzy because she didnt go slow enough for it to do anything other than my ends and I top of hat she never used heat protectant on me hair before blowing it out. She never asked how I want my hair parted and just left it jagged and uneven after washing it and then proceeded to cut it. I didnt notice that until I left. Im going to give her the benefit of the doubt and assume that she doesnt know how to style curly hair but I should never leave a salon and have to go fix my hair because it looked terrible and I had a headache all day from her hitting me with the blow dryer. I will not be going back to this location.

She returned my call in a reasonable time,booked my appointment when I needed it and gave me a consultation then proceeded to bring life back into my look.I have had lots of compliments on the style and the color. Thank you for giving my life a lift.

Monique E I recently was scheduled for a hair appointment at Textures by Hoshall on 3/16/2024 I received a call week of that they had closed and consolidated with their Auburn location. I ended up keeping my appointment and they offered all new customers 30% off. Which is lovely. I went to my appointment and during the highlighting process (touch up / full head) The top of my hair was copper. The hair stylist attempted to fix the issue with adding light brown to the top of my hair. Not till I got home did I notice the mess. I reached out to the salon via direct message and they said to come in the following weekend 3/23/24. I also mentioned that during my visit my hoodie was damaged. ( the reply was not sure how that could of happened to your sweater) I went to get my hair fixed and its not what I wanted but we did take the brassiness away. The stylist also mentioned that “it was the first time she worked with the bleach and didn’t know how badly it runs”. I noticed after my wash so much damage/breakage all over my head. My hair is so damaged now. I messaged the salon again to let them know and ask for tips on what I can do for my hair. They read the message but no reply. Ive been a faithful customer and now Im scared to even go back. I wanted my hair fixed, but I also would have preferred if she told me that my hair wasnt strong enough to handle the bleach again. It’s her job as a hair professional to give me the best possible advice to save my hair.

Carol Barry Whats not to love? The owner gives incredible haircuts to both my husband and me. She listens and asks questions, then cuts and we are always pleased. She is helping me deal with letting my hair grow out "gracefully" and counsels me on products for my graying strands and offers suggestions for my super fine hair to hold a curl. Kristin is a local who shares her knowledge of other Sierra Foothill businesses - so helpful to those of us who have lived here only 4 years or so. Pizzaz is home away from home.

David Ayersman Great locally-owned hair salon that also caters to men. The owner Kristi has been cutting my hair for over 20 years and I couldnt be happier when I visit.

Britny Baker I still give four stars for this company even though I didnt have the best experience. I just moved to the area and saw this salon was fair priced and had good reviews. I went and my haircut was horrible and super uneven. Unhappy, I called and was able to speak to the owner. She was so nice and very willing to refund me. Im sure it was just something weird that occurred with my cut because they have good reviews. The owner is so nice and I couldnt believe how willing she was to make things right.

Madelyn Dwyer Craig is a phenomenal hair stylist! I went to him to help me fix a bad haircut that I thought couldnt be saved. He listened to my concerns and left me with the length I wanted, and styled it using the texture of my hair (not just another straightener). I will definitely be going back again.

Stella Oliveras I’m a new mom and it has been a year since I had a haircut. It’s so hard to even think about making an appointment and leaving my home and I called 2 places and left messages but Julie was the only one who texted me back. Her prices are reasonable and it includes wash, cut, dry and style. I told her exactly how I wanted my hair cut and provided her with images. She nailed it to a T. I loved her salon space. So warm, quiet and inviting. Plus, it was conveniently located. The products she used were wonderful. I felt so refreshed when I left her studio. It was like a spa experience! I look forward to coming back.

Angel Goodman I moved to the area several months ago and struggled to find "My Person" for hair. Julie was quick to respond and gave me an honest evaluation of where my hair was at. She noted that my coloring was very warm (Id been arguing with previous stylists that it looked rather orange and they denied it or didnt know how to fix it). I was so relieved to have her acknowledge this and she corrected it for me. It is the perfect shade now. She is a true artist and a wonderful person. She really listens to what I want. I always leave feeling taken care of and pretty! I am so grateful to have found her.

Alexa Worrell Julie is an incredible colorist. She transformed my very yellow, brassy blonde with shocking roots into a gorgeous blonde tone. Just what I wanted and more! So happy with the cut as well. Honestly she’s the best I’ve ever been to - I would travel distances to go to her. Couldn’t recommend her more!

Marie Chapman This salon is so nice and relaxing. The hair stylists are always so friendly and Jocelyn in particular is so talented and wonderful to talk to. I am always happy when I leave. She is so good at nailing the pictures I come in with. Highly recommend.

Dena Deovlet Julie is by far the best hair stylist I’ve ever had. She has understood what I want as I babbled on and on about all my ideas and then was able to hone in on what I was envisioning! She’s kind and compassionate and I recommend her to anyone that wants a fantastic stylist, artist, and professional for any hair style (long or short) and for any color (grey to purple) all of which I’ve trusted Julie to do for me!

ari I went in to see Julie in expectation that she would do good dying my hair, she did AMAZING!!! I had spotty hair, she instantly explained to me what would look good with my hair, and fixed my mess. She’s also so easy to talk too and get along with as well, I honestly never spoke to my hairstylists during appointments before coming to Julie. 59catsPeggysue Absolutely a gem of a salon! It is super clean and the smell of the salon doesnt knock you over with a chemical scent. Aundrea always does a beautiful job on my less than cooperative hair.
