1 /5 Alex van Os: I went to this store a couple of years ago, loved it and bought a shirt. Half a year ago i was checking their online store because i regretted buying just one tee. Contacted the store via instagram because i wanted shirts that weren’t on the website. Bought 200 dollars worth of clothes. They told me they’ll send a link to track my order, which never got sent. I’ve been waiting 4 months for them to send it. I sent multiple DM’s to their instagram account and they totally ignore me. Dont buy from their online store or do any business with them online or on insta. Super bummed because i really liked the brand but i just hate the fact i got scammed. I hope broken sees this so we can maybe work things out.(i hope they just forgot to send it and i will still receive my package)

1 /5 Nhi Le: It’s encouraging to see a retail business contributing to the cultural fabric of downtown Monterey. Business ownership is no small feat, and I sincerely hope the store continues to thrive. That said, I cannot extend the same regard to its owner, Mark. Several years ago, my husband conducted business with him, providing tens of thousands of dollars in inventory under a contracted payment plan. After only a few months, Mark ceased payments. While we were initially understanding, especially given the timing around COVID-19, no further payment has ever been made; even after a court judgment clearly affirmed his financial obligation. It’s deeply disappointing to witness such a lack of integrity. Our family, including two young children, has had to bear the consequences of his inaction and disregard. Despite multiple opportunities, he has offered only excuses in place of accountability. Court records reflect that ours is not an isolated incident. I strongly advise others to exercise caution when engaging in business with him.
