1 /5 mill garrett: I have nothing negative to say about Walt as a person, he was a very kind and respectful man... What the one star review is regarding, is that he worked on my wifes car (rear brakes) late last week and less than 3 days later, her brakes fully went out on the way to pick our son up from school. Thanks to her quick reactions, she avoided an almost certain collision that could very well have injured her. I will be in tomorrow afternoon expecting a full $400+ refund and sincere apology. I do my best to support local Petaluma businesses, but I guarantee I will never go to Walt again, nor will I recommend anyone I know go to him for any type of work for their cars. This is completely unacceptable.

5 /5 Pat Kelley: I now live 2 hrs out of Walts area but gladly drive when necessary to use him. I have been a customer for many years because Walt is honest and extremely knowledgeable. I have taken many cars I was interested in buying to Walt to check out. If he says it not a good car, I wont buy it. Walt has never steered me wrong.

They provided me with a loaner car and had my car ready to go within 5 hours and at a very reasonable price... I have been going to Automotive Excellence for at least 7 years and have always been very happy with their service. As a woman , I feel comfortable at their business and have always been treated very kindly by the owner and knowledgeable staff. I had an experience last year where my car would not start up when I was at a gas pump after pumping gas. Called Darlene who talked me through the high stress moment. I was able to get my car to their garage and they gave me a loaner car until my car was ready. They are great I highly recommend trusting your vehicle with them.

Diagnostic fee doesn’t carry any credit to the cost of a repair that you follow through with. Waited all day for the call. That the car was ready. Finally called to check and it was ready to go. This place sucks. I can do more on the ground with my tools on Amazon for a fraction of the cost and time.

They were able to work with my timeline to get my car back to me quickly (dropped off Thursday, picked it up Tuesday morning) and were very communicative every step of the way. Not only were they able to diagnose my cars overheating issue and replace the parts, but they also thoroughly inspected my vehicle and found some potential future problems, photographed and documented them and let me know what to prioritize if I wanted to fix these problems. As someone that is not car savvy, I appreciate any information that can prolong my cars life.
