5 /5 rog daw: To the untrained eye it would be easy to think this is just a gas station with a couple of smog test bays... But au contraire! This is a full fledged auto repair shop and boy are they good! My mothers 1994 Dodge Intrepid had begun to run very rough and the idle speed was getting dangerously high. On top of that the wipers mechanism broke, and you cant live in SF without wipers for the fog! I live a few blocks from this station and noticed they repair a lot of cars. I looked them up here on Yelp and saw great reviews so I asked Ken the mechanic If hed work on my moms old car, he enthusiastically said yes. Ken and his crew diagnosed the problems to a leaking intake manifold and bad plug wires. The manifold was a real challenge because after 25 years the bolts were rusted stuck, but they got them extracted and fixed everything. Great attention to detail like putting in a fresh thermostat while the top of the engine was off. I just picked the car up and it runs like the day my late father bought it, so smooth and lots of torque again with the idle back down where it belongs. They did a fabulous job! And Ken was great at calling me and letting me know the progress and costs, which were very reasonable. Theyre very friendly, enthusiastic and brilliant at repairing cars, even cantankerous old ones! Take your car here first and have Ken take a look at it, you wont be disappointed. I know about fixing cars having done my own car repairs for 40+ years on Fords to Ferraris, so trust me when I say Ken and crew are top notch!

5 /5 Craig Madore: I live just around the corner from Twin Peaks Auto Care which made me suspicious about this little auto shop on the corner — by the size of the place, it looks like they couldnt handle anything more than an oil change. To say I was pleasantly surprised with their capabilities would be an understatement. I was most pleased by their attention to detail and shocked at the "no upsell" attitude. I took #BettyWhite, my faithful companion of 18 years, a Toyota Echo, there for some much-needed attention. She needed a tune up, oil change, updated water pump, belt replacements, right mudflap repair, the brakes were "making noise", and the rear-upper brake light needed a new bulb. Ken, who appears to manage the shop as well as being one of their capable mechanics, capably delivered on all the above. In addition, he was willing to re-examine/adjust the car with minor tweaks after the initial repair. (One of the belts was squeaking and needed adjustment.) Im content that I found a #reliable and #affordable #mechanic in my neighborhood. #TwinPeaksAutoCare
