1 /5 Julia Anderson: My experience at Tulip salon was unfortunately quite bad and I would not recommend anyone get their hair colored here. I scheduled a cut and balayage appointment, requesting to have golden/honey tones blended into my hair -- explicitly stating not blonde. Ive had balayage done on my hair for years and have never had a bad result like this. I was left with a pretty frustrating result. My hair looked streaky, cheap and very blonde. The cut was also uneven in the back, think upside down triangle shape... When I expressed my concern Amber offered to tone it more but was short and did not apologize. After consulting several other, reputable stylists I was informed toning would not be enough to fix this and I was told based on the job she did, it was unlikely she would know how to properly fix it. I then asked her for a partial refund (also advised to do this by other stylists who stated they would absolutely issue one if this was the result) and was denied - being told "we all have our own preferences." I had to spend hundreds of dollars and four+ hours to get this fixed. I find it extremely unprofessional that she advertises herself as being a capable colorist, charging the price that she does, when I was informed by several stylists this was absolutely not a balayage and simply cheap highlights. Do not go here if you want to get ripped off.
