1 /5 Ali: I used to come to Trust Lane for my car repairs, but after my most recent experience, I’m seriously questioning how much they may have overcharged me in the past.
I brought my car in for a simple code scan, and they tried to charge me $200 saying that the basic scan was bringing multiples codes for the scan, not including any repairs. They also tried to make me worry by saying the issue could cause my car to fail a smog check.
Thankfully, I got a second opinion from another local mechanic. They ran a basic scan, found the problem quickly, (It was a faulty fuel cap)
and didn’t charge me anything. I tipped them out of appreciation for their honesty, something I clearly didn’t get from Trust Lane.
I waited to post this review to see if Trust Lane might have had a point. But as of today, my car passed the smog check without any issues. That confirmed what I suspected: they were either misinformed or just trying to scare me into paying for unnecessary work.
I’m really disappointed, especially as a returning customer. It’s frustrating to now wonder how much money I may have wasted here over the years. I can’t recommend this place to anyone who values transparency and honest service.
