They did an amazing job from removing my gel polish, using clean tools, cleaning and buffing out my nails and pedicure, the mask scrub for your pedicure was so refreshing and cleansing, they did a thorough job cleaning out my ingrown nails in my toes, and neatly painted my nails. I appreciated feeling relaxed and cared for, not rushed! Quality work! This is my new favorite place for a mani/pedi!
California Nails - Pasadena Donna Jackson: I am visiting from NC and kinda got turned around looking for this salon. However, when I finally found it, I was very happy with my technician Jessie. She was very attentive and did a great job repairing one of my toenails, also she gave me a great leg massage. The salon was clean and spacious, also the bathroom was clean. Thank you, if I’m ever in Pasadena again I will come back to get my nails done.
ROYALTY SALON PASADENA - Pasadena Jen Pino: Always so impressed by the way my nails turn out at this salon. Its a wonderful and comfortable experience and I always get exactly what I ask for, if not more. I needed nails to match a logo for my business competition and they came through. These are gel x nails and I have already received so many compliments on them.
Lumi Nail Studio - Pasadena alec meyn: I love Lumi nail studio! I drive 1 hour to come to crystal her work is so amazing. I’ve been coming with my sister for about 2 years now and I believe once you try Lumi once you will never wanna go anywhere else.
Happy Nails & Spa - Pasadena Magda Gutierrez: I used to hate getting my eyebrows done until I came here. Trish does my eyebrows so well and she does it so quickly, and I leave with beautiful eyebrows and very little irritation. 10/10 would recommend
Princess Nails & Spa - Pasadena carolina Lopez: I called a day ahead and scheduled an appointment for 10 am. I get there at 10 am and the salon wasn’t even open. They got there around 10:13 am and then proceeded to tell me “why are you so early”. They then took around 30 minutes to even start doing my nails. I told the lady I want almond nails, she didn’t clean my cuticles and left a white stripe on my nail. Also didn’t clean the back and these don’t reflect anything to the proper way almond nails are supposed to look. What I wanted is the last picture and this is what I got :/ don’t recommend coming here. They even charged me $51
Gloss Nail Spa - Pasadena laura jonason: Rude staff, overcharge compared to other places. They charge waaay more for kids than other places and wouldnt give my kid the foot bath that comes with a pedicure, so my kid was really bummed to miss theur favorite part. My kid also wanted alternating nail colors so they charged extra (didnt say anything about extra until it was done).
For me, they put a few inches of water in the basin for the pedi. Just felt penny-pinching and cheap as an overall experience.
Theres plenty of better places to go, with friendlier staff, a better mire luxerious experience, and more reasonable prices. Id skip this place.
Edit/update: 2 days later, my polish is flaking off (a lot). Never had had polish flake off after 2 days. (See photo)
Emblush Beaute - Pasadena Malia Baker: Emblush is my favorite nail salon that I’ve ever been to. I’ve been a loyal customer for years and think they have everything going for them. Incredibly easy online booking system. Easy going, friendly competent staff. I’ve never felt unwelcomed or uncomfortable and there hasn’t ever been a design they couldn’t do. Its fast and painless and I couldn’t recommend them more highly
CoCo Nails - South Pasadena Rosezetta Upshaw: This was probably the best manicure I’ve ever had. So perfect and shiny and so GENTLE!
I came 3-4 times before writing a review. I had a different person each time. Everyone was really good. Amy is the best! There are 2 Amys lol Ask for Amy with the short hair. She is very sweet and friendly and an absolute perfectionist and so very gentle with removing the powder dip and filing my nails. Thank you Amy!
I also love that they have self-serve water bottles and snacks bags (doritos, nutter butter, etc) in the front. I rarely eat junk food but I still think it’s a nice touch. Maybe add a little trail mix for me. :)
This place is recently under new ownership. I stopped coming years ago when the previous owners ran it due to a nail tech having a bad attitude. These new owners are doing a great job and I’m happy I can write them a glowing review.
The prices are reasonable. $50 powder dip. $28 pedicure. I got the $40 upgraded pedicure and I appreciate that it did come with a lot of extras: scrub, cream, hot stone massage , hot towel wrap, etc. to make it significantly different than the basic pedicure.
L Beauty - Nail Salon - Pasadena Rebecca Avanesian: Crystal did a great job with my birthday nails! We both loved them so much. I got a GelX set with the design for $100 total. I recommend making an appointment. The prices here are the same as my old place in Old Town, and this salon is better! Nice techs, clean space, cute interior. Plus, free street parking!
