The Painted Ladies - (CA)

4 /5 Patrick Graham: We came here because my wife really wanted to see the houses immortalized in the opening credits of Full House. We took a Waymo to get there which was a safe and quick way to get there. There were a fair amount of tourists there taking pictures of the houses. The colours of the houses were pretty muted. I was thinking they would be brighter colours based on their name, something like you might see in the Caribbean. I’d agree with what others say that being there at sunset would result in much better photos. We were there in the early afternoon. The large trees also did obscure them as previously mentioned by others. You do get a great view of the city in the background behind the ladies. You can see the Transamerica Pyramid, Bank of America Tower and Salesforce Tower rising above the city in the background. Worth seeing but wouldn’t quite call it a must see when you are here. If you have time stop by around sunset for the best photos.

4 /5 Tina Leavitt: For tourists, reminder: this is a hilly area. The houses are by a nice park with beautiful views of the city. But the houses dont take long to look at! Lol. There are some cafes that are walkable from the park (about 10 minutes).

5 /5 Arista Hidalgo: Even though I am born and raised in the Bay Area, I recommend all to grab a blanket and have a picnic on the lawn across from the beautiful Painted Ladies. It is so relaxing, especially when it’s nice out and you feel the warm sun on your skin with a nice breeze. It is pet friendly and there is a lot of space to lay down and hang out on your own or with friends. There are many restaurants nearby which is convenient. Parking is hard to find so plan to devote a good 15 min to secure a spot. If there is street parking you need to pay or there is a time limit. I was able to find a free parking spot on the same street so it is definitely possible!

5 /5 Katrina Jenkins: Quintessential San Francisco picture seen in shows and movies alike. In my childhood I sure seen it in full house. The Victorian vibe greets me. I love the park nearby and bathroom saved my life when 8 months pregnant.I love street art and this has galore. Lovers of art and photo spot will love this area. You will still get your city views in the background Street parking is free but minimal so you may have to drive around a bit to find parking.
