Their mission statement “Reaching, teaching, mending, and sending” is an ever present spirit in the congregation, as they meet each member where they are, and encourage us to dig deeper and draw closer in our walk with the Lord. BLW will forever hold a precious place in my heart. May God continue to bless and keep this beautiful ministry.

    Lara Batchelder: The deacons did NOT keep their word. I was to be given an assembled shed and, unpacking assistance. However, an unassembled shed remains in my yard and, I’d of NO use. A check for medications, from the vet, to someone homebound, is of no use. As of now, little progress has been made. In October, 2022, Pastor Jeff stated that he would contact me in about two weeks. I followed up two more times but, he did NOT respond. I have an unassembled shed with no warranty. Im physically disabled. I was given a fan but, I had already searched online for a couple hours for the one liked much better. I placed a request to Deacon H, for a dog ramp, who, apparently, never submitted it nor, got back to me about it. The same Deacon H dropped off a check, for pet meds, to some who is nearly homebound, with a non-operational car which, I informed her of. The check was not deposited. I purchased vet meds, with my own money, to be delivered. My service animal / dog was very sick. The cost of the prescriptions at the vet had increased in price by the time the deacons check arrived at my vets office for a past exam. My relationship with my vet was damaged in the deacons miscommunication and, slow mailing of payment. Deacon J offered to contact someone on my behalf but, never did. Deacon J stayed that she would go pick the service animal medication but, never did nor, inform me that she was not doing so. Both deacons were aware I needed labor to unpack but, never stayed how to bill. At this point, First Pres, specifically Pastor Jeff, has made a a conscience decision of omission in fulfilling the deacons commitment to me. Let your yes be yes and, your no be no.

Hes very relatable and doesnt try to hide anything. He makes it known that he isnt perfect, no one is. He tells you like it is and thats what I like about him. They do so many things for the community and people in need in general.also.

    Pushpini Fernando: The Joy church is awesome, inspiring and uplifting. I was very pleasantly surprised at the warmth of the people in this church. They welcomed me with open hearts and treated me like family. The pastors messages are based on Gods word and quite encouraging. Pastor Tony and Pastor Barbara are humble, anointed Gods servants.

This is ridiculously frustrating discouraging what this day was done for such a big event as a sacrament it is in a childs life... 2 long years kids go through classes to receive the Eucharist and they are excited just like family and friend to receive something so special so great that the way this was organized and how little of detail this was given is such a shame that as parents we had to be seated in another room watching our kids via zoom with bad audio.! Having to explain to family how they must stand while some sit while some are hogging empty seats whoever is in charge of this event is too old to be here she made it clear "lamont is old fashion, we dont do that here" but at least they have common sense not to have all 4 classes at once ruin such a meaningful day as this was .... Frustration is not even close !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!¡
